supplied headset into your phone.

Soft keys

Main Menu

The main menu gives you access to all the

different features of your mobile phone. The

table below summarizes the functional icons on

the main menu. To find more information about

their functions, refer to the pages.

Fast Keys

You can configure the navigation keys +, -, <

or >to access your favorite features directly.On

idle screen, press the keys to access the

features.

Go to Settings >General >Fast keys to check the

default settings of the navigation keys +, -, <

or >.

To change the default settings,

Select the item to be changed.

Press left soft key REdit to assign a new

shortcut to the key.

Press +or -to select, and left soft key

ROK to confirm.

Power-saving mode

After the set time span, the phone has the idle

screen turned off automatically. To exit the

power-saving mode, press any key. For power-

saving purpose, set the time span to a low value

in Settings >Display >Backlight duration &

Backlight level.

Auto keypad lock

In the idle mode, your phone can have the

keypad locked automatically after the set time

span.

To set the auto keypad lock

Go to Settings > General > Security > Auto keypad

lock.

1 Getting Started

Congratulations on your purchase and welcom

to Philips!

To get the most of your product and enjoy all

Philips has to offer, register your product at

Please read the safety instructions in the

"Precautions" section before use.

To use your phone, you must insert a valid SIM

card supplied by your GSM operator or retailer.

The SIM card contains your subscription

information, your mobile phone number and a

memory in which you can store phone numbers

and messages.

Inserting the SIM card

Follow the steps bellow to insert your new SIM

cards. Remember to switch off your mobile

phone before removing the back cover.

Press on the bottom of the back cover, and

slide the cover as shown.

As shown, take out the battery.

You may lose all your personal settings if you

remove the battery when the phone is switched

on.
