◗Do not use the appliance if the plug,the cord or the appliance itself

is damaged.

Preparing the appliance for use

1Before you connect the appliance,check whether the mains voltage

indicated on the appliance corresponds to the mains voltage in

your home.

2Place the appliance on a horizontal surface.

Do not put the appliance on a hot surface.

Keep the appliance out of the reach of children and make sure that

they are unable to pull at the cord.

C3Put the plug in an earthed wall socket.

You can store excess cord at the back of the appliance.

Prevent the cord from coming into contact with hot surfaces.

C4Fill the water tank with water and put the jug in place.

C5Switch the appliance on by pressing the button.

The pilot light goes on.

Let the appliance run until the water tank is completely empty.

C6Switch the appliance off after use.

Let the appliance cool down for at least 3 minutes before you start

brewing coffee.

Brewing coffee

C1Put a paper filter (type 1x4 or no.4) in the filter holder.

Do not forget to fold the sealed edges of the filter.

Some versions come with a permanent filter.In this case, you do not

need to use a paper filter.

C2Fill the water tank with water and put the jug in place.

Type HD 7607 only: the level indications on the left apply to large cups

(120 ml).The level indications on the right apply to small cups (80 ml).

C3Put pre-ground coffee (filter-fine grind) in the filter.

Types HD 7603 and HD 7605 only: the coffee dose indicator helps

you determine the right balance between coffee grounds and water.

The indicator on the left tells you the number of large cups (120 ml)

and the indicator on the right tells you how many level measuring

spoons of ground coffee you should use (this number applies to both

Gold and Mocca coffee).

4Close the lid.

C5Select the strength and the amount of coffee you want to brew:

- Gold [:for less than half a jug of mild coffee.

- Gold p:for more than half a jug of mild coffee.

- Mocca p:for more than half a jug of robust coffee.

- Mocca [:for less than half a jug of robust coffee.

C6Switch the appliance on by pressing the button.

7Switch the appliance off after use.

Types HD 7605 and HD 7607only: if you have not switched the

appliance off,the appliance will automatically switch itself off after two

hours.

C8Remove the paper filter and throw it away.

If you have used the permanent filter,you can simply empty it,rinse it

and use it again.

Let the appliance cool down for at least 3 minutes before you start

brewing coffee again.

Cleaning

1Unplug the appliance.

2Clean the appliance with a moist cloth.

Never immerse the appliance in water!

3Clean the jug and the filter holder in hot soapy water or in the

dishwasher.

Descaling

Descale your appliance regularly. In case of normal use:

- 2 to 3 times a year if you are using soft water (less than 18° DH);

- 4 or 5 times a year if you are using hard water (more than 18° DH).

Turn to your local water board for information about the water

hardness in your area.

1Fill the water tank with white vinegar.Do not put a filter and coffee

in the filter holder.

2Let the appliance complete two runs.

See‘Brewing coffee’.

3Let the appliance complete two more runs with fresh,cold water

to remove any vinegar and scale residues.

4Clean the separate parts.

Przy normalnym użyciu stosuj się do następujących zasad:

- twardość wody do 18° DH (22,5° Clarke) 2-3 razy do roku,

- twardość wody ponad 18° DH (22,5° Clarke) 4-5 razy do roku.

Przedsiębiorstwo wodociągowe może poinformować Cię o stopniu

twardości używanej przez ciebie wody.

1Napełnij zbiornik na wod zwykłym octem, nie wsypując kawy do

filtra.

2Dwukrotnie uruchom urządzenie.

Patrz:‘parzenie kawy’.

3Po usuni ciu kamienia uruchom urządzenie dwa razy, napełniając je

jedynie wodą w celu wypłukania octu i pozostałości osadów.

4Umyj ruchome cz ści urządzenia (dzbanek na kaw i uchwyt na
