Your new Satinelle offers a very quick, convenient and

effective method of epilation. It is suitable for use on the

legs.

Even the shortest hairs (as little as 1⁄2mm) are trapped

between the rapidly rotating tweezer discs and pulled out

by their roots.

Any re-growth of hair will be soft and downy... No more

stubble! Your skin will remain smooth for at least two to

three weeks.

You will get the most from your Satinelle if you first

familiarise yourself with it. So before using the appliance for

the first time, please read these instructions carefully in

conjunction with the illustrations.

• Keep page 3 open when reading these operating

instructions.

• Regular cleaning and good maintenance ensures

optimum results and guarantees the longest life-

time for the Satinelle.

• Before connecting the appliance, please check

that the voltage indicated on the transformer plug

corresponds to the mains voltage in your home.

• Do not allow the appliance to come into contact

with water.

• Keep the protective cap on the appliance when

not in use.

• Do not use the Satinelle when varicose veins,

spots or blemishes trouble you, or when the skin

is irritated.

• Regular skin massage with a massaging glove

can prevent ingrowing hairs.

• After using the Satinelle some redness or skin

irritation may occur. This is a normal

phenomenon and will quickly disappear.

However, if the effect remains for more than three

days consult your doctor.

• When switched on, keep the appliance away from

the hair on your head, eye lashes, eye brows,

clothing, wires, cords etc. to prevent injury or

damage.

• Keep the appliance away from children.

• Use the appliance only with the transformer plug

supplied.

How to use

• Before epilating ensure that your skin is clean and

completely dry.

• Do not use body-lotion, creams etc. immediately before or

after epilating.

A special after-epilation cream may however be applied

after use.

• When epilating for the first time, it is advisable to

experiment on an area with sparse hair growth. In this

way, you will gradually become accustomed to the

method.

The first time in use you may feel some slight discomfort,

but on each occasion you use the Satinelle the discomfort

level will reduce. This is because the hairs are removed

by the roots and re-growth tends to be softer both in

appearance and to the touch.

- Switch the appliance on, selecting the desired speed

(fig. 2).

• For areas where the hairs are thinner and places difficult

to reach, speed • ("normal speed") is recommended.

• For larger areas and thicker hairs, speed •

•("extra

speed") is advisable.

- Stretch the skin with your free hand, to bring the hairs into

an upright position. This is especially important for areas

where the skin is sensitive and tender.

- Hold the Satinelle at right angles to the skin, with the

on/off switch facing you. Do not operate in a sloping

position! (Fig. 3)

- Move the Satinelle gently and with light pressure

against the direction of the growth of the hairs.

- To switch off the Satinelle, move the switch back to the

central position.

Cleaning

• For the best epilation results it is essential to clean the

tweezer discs after each use.

• Always switch off the Satinelle and remove the plug from

the mains outlet before cleaning.

• Never immerse the appliance in water.

• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, scourers, alcohol,

acetone etc. for cleaning the plastic housing.

- Push the two ribbed areas inwards and pull the shield (C)

from the appliance (fig. 4).

Please note: Do not attempt to disassemble the tweezer

discs assembly from the appliance!

- Use the brush to clean the tweezer discs (B) (fig. 5).

- Replace the shield ("Click!") (fig. 6).

Note: The shield can be placed on the appliance in

only one position!

Avec votre "Satinelle", vous pouvez vous épiler rapidement

en douceur et avec efficacité. Il a été spécialement conçu

pour une épilation parfaite des jambes.

Les poils même les plus courts 1⁄2mm) sont soulevés par

deux petits disques rotatifs et ensuite arrachés doucement

par leurs rotations.

Chaque repousse de poil sera douce et duveteuse. Plus

jamais de résidus de poils! Et votre peau demeurera douce

pour au moins deux ou trois semaines.

Pour tirer le meilleur parti de votre appareil, il faut vous

familiariser avec. Aussi, avant d'utiliser l'appareil pour la

première fois, lisez attentivement ce mode d'emploi en

même temps que les illustrations.

• Un entretien et un nettoyage réguliers

garantissent un bon fonctionnement et une

longue durée de vie de votre Satinelle.

• Avant de brancher votre appareil, vérifiez que la

tension indiquée sur la prise du transformateur

corresponde bien avec la tension d'alimentation

dans votre logement.

• Evitez tout contact de l'appareil avec l'eau.

• Laissez en place le couvercle protecteur lorsque

vous n'utilisez pas l'appareil.

• N'utilisez pas l'appareil sur des varices, des

boutons ou des plaies, ou même sur une peau

irritée.

• Un massage régulier avec un gant de massage

permettra d'éviter la repousse des poils sous la

peau.

• Après utilisation, une rougeur ou une irritation de

la peau peuvent se produire. C'est une réaction

normale qui disparaîtra rapidement. Néanmoins,

si elle devait persister plus de 3 jours, veuillez

consulter un médecin.

• Quand l'appareil est en train de fonctionner,

tenez-le toujours suffisamment loin de vos

cheveux, de vos cils et sourcils, de vos vêtements

et des fils, cordes, etc.. pour éviter tout incident

ou dommage de celui-ci.

• Ne laissez pas l'appareil à la portée des enfants.

• Utilisez l'appareil uniquement avec la prise

transformateur fournie.

Comment l'utiliser

• Assurez-vous que votre peau soit bien propre, non

huileuse et complètement sèche avant de l'épiler.

• N'utilisez pas de crème ou de lotion sur la peau

immédiatement avant ou après l'épilation. Une crème

spéciale après-épilation pourra être cependant appliquée

après l'opération.

• Si vous vous épilez pour la première fois, il est conseillé

de commencer à un endroit où les poils sont fins pour

vous accoutumer progressivement à cette méthode. La

première fois que vous utiliserez l'appareil, vous pourrez

peut-être ressentir un certain inconfort, mais au fur et à

mesure que vous utiliserez le Satinelle, cet inconfort

disparaîtra. Ceci sera dû au fait que les poils sont

arrachés par les petites roulettes et que la repousse aura

tendance à être plus douce aussi bien en apparence

qu'au toucher.

- Etirez la peau avec la main libre pour redresser les poils.

Ceci est particulièrement important pour les endroits où la

peau est sensible et fragile.
