Introduction

With your new epilator you can remove unwanted hair quickly, easily

and effectively. It is particularly suitable for removing hair from your legs.

The rotating discs catch even the shortest hairs (down to 0.5mm) and

pull them out by the root.The hairs that grow back are soft and thin.

Epilating with this new appliance leaves your skin smooth and hair-free

for several weeks.

Important

Read these instructions for use carefully before using the appliance and

save them for future reference.

◗Check if the mains voltage indicated on the appliance

corresponds to the local mains voltage before you connect the

appliance.

◗Only use the appliance in combination with the adapter supplied.

◗Do not use the appliance if the adapter or the appliance itself is

damaged.

◗If the adapter is damaged, always have it replaced by one of the

original type in order to avoid a hazard.

◗The adapter contains a transformer. Do not cut off the adapter to

replace it with another plug, as this will cause a hazardous

situation.

◗Keep the appliance and the adapter dry.

◗Do not use the appliance near or over a washbasin or bath filled

with water.

◗Do not use the appliance in the bath or in the shower.

◗If you use the appliance in the bathroom, do not use an extension

cord.

◗Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.

◗To prevent damage and injuries, keep the running appliance away

from your scalp hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, clothes, threads, cords,

brushes etc.

◗Do not use the epilating head on irritated skin or skin with

varicose veins, rashes, spots, moles (with hairs) or wounds

without consulting your doctor first. People with a reduced

immune response, or people who suffer from diabetes mellitus,

haemophilia or immunodeficiency should also consult their

doctor first.

◗Your skin may become a little red and irritated the first few times

you use the epilator.This phenomenon will soon disappear as

your skin becomes used to epilation and the hairs become

thinner and softer. If the irritation does not disappear within

three days, we advise you to consult a doctor.

◗Regular massages with a loofah may help to prevent ingrowing

hairs. Do not use the loofah immediately before or after

epilation.

◗Regular cleaning and proper maintenance ensure optimal results

and a long life for your appliance.

Preparing for use

◗Make sure your skin is clean, entirely dry and free from grease.

Do not use any cream before you start epilating.

◗Epilation is easier just after taking a bath or shower. Make sure

your skin is completely dry when you start epilating.

◗When you use the appliance for the first time, we advise you to

try it out on an area with only light hair growth to get

accustomed to the epilation process.

◗As the hairs are removed by the root, epilation may cause some

skin discomfort the first few times you use the epilator.This

effect will gradually diminish when you use the appliance more

often. Regrowth tends to be softer both in appearance and to the

touch.

Using the appliance

◗Do not use the appliance near or over a washbasin or bath filled

with water (fig. 2).

◗Do not use the appliance in the bath or in the shower (fig. 3).

◗If you use the appliance in the bathroom, do not use an extension

cord (fig. 4).

◗Your epilator is equipped with a massage attachment that helps

to minimise the pulling sensation and gives you a more pleasant

feeling during epilation.The massage attachment pivots for

optimal contour following and can be easily detached for better

cleaning.

Connecting the appliance

1Insert the appliance plug into the appliance (fig. 5).

2Insert the adapter into the wall socket.

Epilating the legs

1Switch the appliance on by selecting the desired speed.

◗Select speed I for areas with little hair growth, for hard-to-reach

areas and for areas where bones are located directly beneath the

skin, such as knees and ankles.

◗Select speed II for larger areas with stronger hair growth.

2Stretch the skin with your free hand to make the hairs stand

upright.

3Place the epilator perpendicularly onto the skin with the on/off

slide pointing in the direction in which you are going to move the

appliance (fig. 6).

4Move the appliance slowly over the skin, against the direction of

hair growth.

5Press the appliance lightly onto the skin.

Cleaning and maintenance

Do not use any corrosive detergents, scouring pads or cloths, petrol,

acetone etc. to clean the appliance.

◗Never rinse the appliance or the adapter under the tap (fig. 7).

◗Keep the appliance and the adapter dry (fig. 8).

Cleaning the epilating head

1Switch the appliance off, remove the adapter from the wall socket

and pull the appliance plug out of the appliance (fig. 9).

2Remove the epilating head (fig. 10).

3Remove loose hairs with the brush supplied (fig. 11).

4Rinse the epilating head under the tap for 5-10 seconds while

turning it (fig. 12).

5Shake the epilating head firmly and dry it thoroughly with a tea

towel.The epilating head should be completely dry before you

place it back onto the appliance (fig. 13).

Environment

◗Do not throw the appliance away with the normal household

waste at the end of its life, but hand it in at an official collection

point for recycling. By doing this you will help to preserve the

environment (fig. 14).

Solution

Move the appliance against the

direction of hair growth, with the

on/off slide pointing in the direction in

which you are moving the appliance.

Make sure that you place the

appliance perpendicularly onto the

skin (see chapter 'Using the

appliance').

Make sure your skin is clean, entirely

dry and free from grease. Do not use

any cream before you start epilating.

Make sure that the hairs to be

removed have a length of at least

3mm to guarantee proper hair

removal.

Make sure the socket is live. If you

have connected the epilator to the

socket in a bathroom cabinet, you may

need to switch on the bathroom light

to activate the socket.

Cause

The epilator is

being moved in

the wrong

direction.

The epilating head

is placed on the

skin at the wrong

angle.

The skin or hair

was treated with a

(depilatory)

cream prior to

epilation.

If the appliance does not work or does not work properly, first check

the list below. If the problem is not mentioned in this list, the appliance
