Introduction

◗Dear customer, you have made the right choice!Your new Philips

hair clipper adapts to the contours of the head and enables

comfortable use.

◗To enjoy this hair clipper for a long time, we advise you to read the

following information.

Important

◗Check if the voltage indicated on the mains plug corresponds to

the mains voltage in your home before you connect the appliance.

C◗Make sure that the appliance and the adapter do not get wet.

C◗Use, charge and store the appliance at a temperature between

15cand 35c.

Charging

Charge the appliance for at least 12 hours before you start using it for

the first time.

1Make sure the appliance is switched off while charging.

C2Insert the appliance plug into the appliance. Insert the mains

plug into the wall socket.

C◗During charging, the pilot light will go on to indicate the appliance

is charging.

Do not charge the appliance for more than 24 hours.

A fully charged appliance has a cordless operating time of up to 35

minutes.

Optimising the lifetime of the battery

- Discharge the battery completely twice a year by letting the motor

run until it stops.

- Do not keep the cord plugged into the wall socket all the time.

- If the appliance has not been used for a long period of time, it must

be recharged for at least 12 hours.

Corded clipping

◗To use the hair clipper connected to the mains:

Switch the hair clipper off, connect it to the mains and wait a few

seconds before switching it on.

If the battery is completely empty, wait a few minutes before switching

the appliance on.

Do not run the appliance from the mains when the battery is fully

charged.

Preparing for clipping

Clipping with comb attachment:

1Slide the comb attachment onto the rails on the appliance until

you hear a click.

Select the small or large comb attachment, depending on the desired

hair length (see table).

2Make sure that the arms of the comb attachment have been

properly slid onto the rails on both sides.

◗Hair length settings

The hair length settings are indicated in millimetres on the arms of the

comb attachment.The settings correspond to the remaining hair length

after cutting.

Cleaning

Clean the appliance every time you have used it.

Do not use abrasives, scourers or liquids such as alcohol, petrol or

acetone to clean the appliance.

1Make sure the appliance is switched off and disconnected from

the mains before you start cleaning it.

C2Remove the comb attachment.

C3Press the middle part of the cutting unit with your thumb until

the unit opens and then pull the cutting unit upwards to

remove it.

Be careful that the cutting unit does not fall to the floor.

C4Clean the cutting unit and the inside of the appliance with the

brush supplied.

C5Place the two lugs of the cutting unit into the guiding slots and

push the unit back onto the appliance.

6Make sure you push the cutting unit back until you hear a click.

Replacement

A worn or damaged cutting unit should only be replaced with an

original Philips cutting unit.

C1Open the cutting unit by pressing the middle part and then

remove it by pulling it upwards.

C2Place the two lugs of the new cutting unit into the guiding slots

and push the cutting unit back until you hear a click.

Environment

The built-in rechargeable battery contains substances that may pollute

the environment.

Remove the rechargeable battery when you discard the appliance.

Do not throw the battery away with the normal household waste but

hand it in at an official collection point.

You can also take the appliance to a Philips service centre, where staff

will be happy to help you remove the battery and dispose of it in an

environmentally safe way.

1Disconnect the appliance from the mains and let the appliance

run until the motor stops.

C2Open and remove the cutting unit.

C3Remove the metal clip by means of a screwdriver.

C4Open the housing.

Insert a screwdriver into one of the grooves next to the socket for the

appliance plug.Turn the screwdriver to separate the two housing

halves.

C5Insert a screwdriver into the small slot in the printed circuit

board marked with an arrow. Push the screwdriver down until

part of the printed circuit board breaks off.

C6Pull the battery out of the appliance.

Dispose of the battery and the other components in an

environmentally safe way.

Do not connect the appliance to the mains again after it has been

opened!

Philishave Haarschneider passt sich den Konturen des Kopfes an

und ist deshalb besonders komfortabel im Gebrauch.

◗Damit Sie lange Zeit Freude an diesem Haarschneider haben,

sollten Sie die folgenden Informationen lesen.

Wichtig

◗Prüfen Sie, bevor Sie das Gerät in Betrieb nehmen, ob die

Spannungsangabe auf dem Netzstecker mit der örtlichen

Netzspannung übereinstimmt.

C◗Das Gerät und das Netzteil dürfen nicht nass werden.

C◗Benutzen, laden und lagern Sie das Gerät bei Temperaturen

zwischen 15cund 35c.

Laden

Laden Sie das Gerät mindestens 12 Stunden lang, bevor Sie es zum

ersten Mal benutzen.

1Beim Laden muss das Gerät ausgeschaltet sein.

C2Stecken Sie den Gerätestecker in das Gerät und den

Netzteilstecker in die Steckdose.

C◗Während des Ladens leuchtet die Ladeanzeige am Gerät.

Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht länger als 24 Stunden am Netz.

Ein vollständig geladenes Gerät kann ohne Netzkabel bis zu 35 Minuten

betrieben werden.

Optimieren der Lebensdauer des Akkus

- Entladen Sie den Akku zweimal pro Jahr vollständig, indem Sie das

Gerät laufen lassen, bis der Motor anhält.

- Lassen Sie den Netzstecker nicht ununterbrochen in der Steckdose.

- Wurde das Gerät längere Zeit nicht benutzt, muss es mindestens 12

Stunden lang aufgeladen werden.

Netzbetrieb

◗So verwenden Sie das Gerät im Netzbetrieb:

Schalten Sie den Haarschneider aus, schließen Sie ihn an das Stromnetz

an, und warten Sie einige Sekunden, bevor Sie ihn einschalten.

Ist der Akku vollständig leer, warten Sie einige Minuten, bevor Sie das

Gerät einschalten.

Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht am Netz, wenn der Akku vollständig

geladen ist.

Vorbereitungen zum Gebrauch

Haare mit dem Kamm-Aufsatz schneiden:

1Schieben Sie den Kamm-Aufsatz auf die Schienen am Gerät, bis

er hörbar einrastet.

Verwenden Sie je nach der gewünschten Haarlänge den kleinen oder

den großen Kamm-Aufsatz (siehe Tabelle).

2Die Führungen am Kamm-Aufsatz müssen richtig in den

Schienen an beiden Seiten des Geräts liegen.

◗Haarlängeneinstellungen

Die Haarlängeneinstellungen sind in Millimetern auf den Seiten des

Kamm-Aufsatzes angegeben. Sie bezeichnen die verbleibende

Haarlänge nach dem Schneiden.

Reinigung

Reinigen Sie das Gerät nach jedem Gebrauch.

Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen des Geräts keine Scheuermittel,

Scheuerschwämme oder Lösungmittel wie Alkohol, Benzin oder

Azeton.

1Schalten Sie das Gerät vor dem Reinigen aus, und ziehen Sie

den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.

C2Nehmen Sie den Kamm-Aufsatz vom Gerät.

C3Drücken Sie mit dem Daumen gegen den mittleren Teil der

Schneideeinheit, bis sie sich öffnet. Heben Sie die

Schneideeinheit dann nach oben vom Gerät.

Lassen Sie die Schneideeinheit nicht fallen.

C4Reinigen Sie die Schneideeinheit und das Innere des Gehäuses

mit der beiligenden Bürste.

C5Setzen Sie die beiden Zinken der Schneideeinheit in die

Führungsschlitze, und drücken Sie sie auf das Gerät.

6Drücken Sie auf die Schneideeinheit, bis sie hörbar einrastet.

Austauschen der Schneideeinheit

Eine abgenutzte oder beschädigte Schneideeinheit darf nur durch eine

Philips Schneideeinheit ersetzt werden.

C1Öffnen Sie die Schneideeinheit, indem Sie gegen den mittleren

Teil drücken. Heben Sie die Schneideeinheit dann nach oben ab.

C2Setzen Sie die beiden Zinken der neuen Schneideeinheit in die

Führungsschlitze, und drücken Sie auf die Schneideeinheit, bis

sie hörbar einrastet.

Umweltschutz

Der eingebaute Akku enthält umweltschädigende Substanzen.

Nehmen Sie den Akkus aus dem Gerät, bevor Sie das Gerät entsorgen.

Akkus gehören nicht in den normalen Hausmüll! Sie sind als

Verbraucher gesetzlich dazu verpflichtet, gebrauchte Batterien und

Akkus der Wiederverwertung zuzuführen. Geben Sie sie bei einer der

öffentlichen Sammelstellen Ihrer Gemeinde oder an einer Verkaufsstelle

für entspechende Geräte bzw. Batterien und Akkus ab.

Sie können das Gerät auch bei einem Philips Service Center abgeben.

Wir kümmern uns dann gern um eine umweltgerechte Entsorgung.

1Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose, und lassen Sie das

Gerät laufen, bis der Motor anhält.

C2Lösen Sie die Schneideeinheit, und heben Sie sie vom Gerät ab.

C3Entfernen Sie die Metallklemme mit einem Schraubendreher.

C4Öffnen Sie das Gehäuse.

Führen Sie den Schraubendreher in eine der Aussparungen neben der

Buchse für den Gerätestecker ein. Drehen Sie den Schraubendreher,

um beide Gehäusehälften voneinander zu trennen.
