Introduction

The Philips Salon Classic has been especially

designed to meet your personal needs.The

settings give you maximum control and allow you

to select the speed and temperature settings that

are suitable for your hair.With the professional

ergonomically designed attachments you can dry

your hair efficiently and create the style you want.

Important

◗Check if the voltage indicated on the

appliance corresponds to the local mains

voltage before you connect the appliance.

◗Keep this appliance away from water! Do not

use this product near or over water

contained in baths, washbasins, sinks etc.

When used in a bathroom, unplug the

appliance after use since the proximity of

water presents a risk, even when the

hairdryer is switched off.

◗For additional protection we advise you to

install a residual current device (RCD) with a

rated residual operating current not

exceeding 30mA in the electrical circuit

supplying the bathroom.Ask your installer for

advice.

◗Keep the appliance away from children.

◗Never block the air grilles.

◗If the appliance overheats, it will switch off

automatically. Unplug the appliance and let it

cool down for a few minutes. Before you

switch the appliance on again, check the grilles

to make sure they are not blocked by fluff,

hair, etc.

◗Always unplug the appliance after use..

Drying

1Put the plug in the wall socket.

C2Switch the appliance on by means of the

air speed selector.

C3Select the desired air speed: I for a gentle

airflow and II for a strong airflow..

4Select the desired air temperature:

position xfor cool air, position @for warm

air and position #for hot air.

5Use a strong airflow and hot air for fast

drying.

6Use a gentle airflow and warm air for

drying short hair or for styling.

C7Dry your hair by making brushing

movements while holding the dryer at a

small distance from your hair.

Styling

◗For long-lasting results, direct a cool airflow at

your hair to fix your style:

C8Press the blue button and keep it pressed

down to activate the cool airflow.

◗If the knob is released, the appliance will

operate again at the preset temperature.

Concentrator

◗To concentrate the airflow, you can connect

the concentrator to the air outlet

C1Connect the concentrator by simply

snapping it onto the appliance. Disconnect

it by pulling it off.

C◗The concentrator allows you to direct the

airflow straight at the brush you are using to

style your hair.

Replacement

◗If the mains cord is damaged, it must be

replaced by Philips, a service centre

authorised by Philips or similarly qualified

persons in order to avoid a hazard.

◗Always return the appliance to an authorised

repair. Repair by unqualified people could

cause an extremely hazardous situation for

the user.

Einleitung

Ihr Philips Salon Classic ist speziell für Ihre

Bedürfnisse entwickelt worden. Mit Hilfe der

verschiedenen Schalterstellungen können Sie die

starke Leistung des Geräts Ihrem Haar individuell

anpassen. Mit den ergonomisch gestalteten

Aufsätzen trocknen Sie Ihr Haar gründlich und

gestalten die Frisur, die Ihren Wünschen

entspricht.

Wichtig

◗Prüfen Sie, bevor Sie das Gerät in Betrieb

nehmen, ob die Spannungsangabe auf dem

Gerät mit der örtlichen Netzspannung

übereinstimmt.

◗Halten Sie das Gerät von Wasser fern!

Verwenden Sie es niemals in der Nähe von

Wasser oder über gefüllten Waschbecken

bzw. Badewannen. Ziehen Sie nach jedem

Gebrauch im Badezimmer sofort den Stecker

aus der Steckdose.Auch ein unbenutztes und

ausgeschaltetes Gerät ist in der Nähe von

Wasser eine Gefahr, solange sich der Stecker

in der Steckdose befindet.

◗Der Einbau einer

Fehlerstromschutzeinrichtung mit einem

Nennauslösestrom von 30 mA

◗Halten Sie das Gerät von Kindern fern.

◗Verdecken Sie niemals den Lufteinlass.

◗Bei Überhitzung wird das Gerät automatisch

ausgeschaltet. Ziehen Sie dann den Stecker

aus der Steckdose und lassen Sie das Gerät

wieder eingeschaltet werden. Prüfen Sie zuvor,

ob der Lufteinlass z. B. durch Flusen oder

Haare verstopft ist.

◗Ziehen Sie nach Gebrauch stets den

Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.

◗Wenn das Netzkabel defekt oder beschädigt

ist, darf es nur von einem Philips Service-

Center oder einer von Philips autorisierten

Werkstatt ausgetauscht werden, um ein

Sicherheitsrisiko zu vermeiden.

Das Haar trocknen

1Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in die

Steckdose.

C2Schalten Sie das Gerät am Gebläseschalter

ein.

C3Wählen Sie die gewünschte Gebläsestufe: I

für einen sanften Luftstrom, II für einen

starken Luftstrom.

4Stellen Sie die gewünschte Temperatur ein:

Stufe xfür kühle Luft, Stufe @für warme

Luft und #für heiße Luft.

5Zum schnellen Trocknen wählen Sie den

starken, heißen Luftstrom.

6Zum Trocknen von kurzem Haar und zum

Stylen wählen Sie den sanften, warmen

Luftstrom.

C7Trocknen Sie das Haar, indem Sie das

Gerät in parallelen Bewegungen in

geringem Abstand zum Haar durch das

Haar führen.

Die Anwendung des Geräts

◗Richten Sie einen kalten Luftstrom auf Ihr

Haar, um die Frisur zu fixieren.

C8Die Abkühlstufe wird eingeschaltet, indem

Sie den blauen Schalter drücken und

gedrückt halten.

◗Wenn Sie den blauen Schalter loslassen,

schaltet das Gerät auf die eingestellte

Temperatur zurück.

Stylingdüse

◗Die Stylingdüse dient dazu, den Luftstrom am

Luftauslaß zu konzentrieren.

C1Die Stylingdüse wird auf das Gerät

aufgesetzt und rastet ein. Zum Abnehmen

wird sie einfach heruntergezogen.

C◗Mit der Stylingdüse läßt sich der Luftstrom

direkt auf die Bürste konzentrieren, die Sie

beim Stylen verwenden.
