Introduction

The Philips Salon Classic hairdryer has been specially designed to meet

your personal needs.The settings give you maximum control and allow

you to select the airflow speed and temperature that are suitable for

your hair.With the professional ergonomically designed attachments

you can dry your hair efficiently and create the style you want.

Important

Read these instructions for use carefully before using the appliance and

save them for future reference.

◗Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to

the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.

◗Keep this appliance away from water! Do not use this product

near or over water contained in baths, washbasins, sinks etc.

When used in a bathroom, unplug the appliance after use since

the proximity of water presents a risk, even when the hairdryer is

switched off.

◗For additional protection we advise you to install a residual

current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current

not exceeding 30mA in the electrical circuit supplying the

bathroom.Ask your installer for advice.

◗Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.

◗Never block the air grilles.

◗If the appliance overheats, it will switch off automatically. Unplug

the appliance and let it cool down for a few minutes. Before you

switch the appliance on again, check the grilles to make sure they

are not blocked by fluff, hair, etc.

◗Always unplug the appliance after use.

◗Noise level: L= 81 dB(A) re 1pW

Using the appliance

Drying

1Put the plug in the wall socket.

2Switch the appliance on by means of the airflow speed selector

(fig. 1).

3Select the desired airflow speed: I for a gentle airflow and II for a

strong airflow (fig. 2).

4Select the desired airflow temperature: position xfor cool air,

position @for warm air and position #for hot air.

5Select a strong airflow and hot air for fast drying.

6Select a gentle airflow and warm air for drying short hair and for

styling.

7Dry your hair by making brushing movements while holding the

dryer at a small distance from your hair (fig. 3).

Styling

◗For long-lasting styling results, you can finish off with a cool shot

to fix your style.

1Press the blue button and keep it pressed to activate the cool

shot (fig. 4).

◗When you release the button, the appliance starts operating at

the preset temperature again.

Attachments

Concentrator

◗To concentrate the airflow, you can connect the concentrator to

the air outlet.

1Connect the concentrator by simply snapping it onto the

appliance. Disconnect it by pulling it off (fig. 5).

◗The concentrator allows you to direct the airflow straight at the

brush or comb with which you are styling your hair (fig. 6).

Ergonomic Care diffuser

◗The diffuser has been specially developed to gently dry both

straight and curly or wavy hair. It emits a gentle airflow, which

dries the hair quickly.At the same time, the diffuser allows you to

give your style volume and bounce (fig. 7).

1Connect the diffuser by simply snapping it onto the appliance.

Disconnect it by pulling it off (fig. 8).

◗To add volume at the roots, insert the pins into your hair in such

a way that they touch your scalp (fig. 9).

◗Then make rotating movements with the appliance to distribute

the warm air evenly through your hair (fig. 10).

Curly or wavy hair

◗When you are styling curly or wavy hair, hold the diffuser at a

distance of 10-15 cm from your head to let the hair dry gradually.

◗In the meantime you can style your hair with your free hand or

with a wide-toothed comb (fig. 11).

◗You can also scrunch locks of hair in your hand to shape the curls

and waves while drying.This will prevent the curls from sagging or

becoming frizzy.

Long hair

◗To dry long hair, you can spread out locks of hair on top of the

diffuser (fig. 12).

◗Alternatively, you can comb it downwards with the pins of the

diffuser while drying (fig. 13).

Styling and drying tips

Here is one style you can create easily and gently with the Philips Salon

Classic hairdryer. As you become more familiar with the appliance, you

will discover many other ways to create great styles. Just use your

imagination!

1After washing and conditioning your hair as usual, start drying it

by dabbing the wet hair with a towel, then comb it through

carefully.

2Place the diffuser in your hair so that the tips of the air pins

touch your scalp. By making circular movements with the diffuser,

the hair will be lifted towards the base of the diffuser and the air

flowing from the air pins will dry the hair from the root upwards.

This will add more volume to your hair. Continue drying until

your hair is dry at the roots.

3Select a lower airflow speed setting and continue drying until

your hair is completely dry. Use a comb or brush to style your

hair in the desired way while drying (fig. 14).

4To create volume at the hair ends, hold the diffuser in horizontal

position and place some locks of hair on the base of the diffuser

between the air pins and leave them there for a few moments.

The gentle airflow will prevent your curls or waves from being

blown out of style while drying (fig. 15).

5Finish off with a cool shot to fix your style (fig. 16).

Replacement

◗If the mains cord of this appliance is damaged, it must always be

replaced by Philips or a service centre authorised by Philips in

order to avoid hazardous situations.

◗Always return the appliance to a service centre authorised by

Philips for examination or repair, as special tools and/or parts are

required.

Ta nowa suszarka do włosów Philips Salon Classic została

zaprojektowana specjalnie po to, aby spełniać indywidualne wymagania

u ytkownika. Dostępne regulacje dają maksymalną kontrolę i pozwalają

wybrać strumień i temperaturę powietrza najbardziej odpowiednie dla

twoich włosów. Dzięki profesjonalnym, ergonomicznie

zaprojektowanym nasadkom mo esz skutecznie suszyć swoje włosy i

stworzyć własny styl fryzury.

Wa ne

Przed pierwszym u yciem urządzenia przeczytaj dokładnie tę instrukcję

obsługi i zachowaj ją na przyszłość, do ewentualnej konsultacji.

◗Przed podłączeniem urządzenia upewnij się, czy napięcie podane

na urządzeniu jest zgodne z napięciem w sieci elektrycznej.

◗Trzymaj urządzenie z dala od wody! Nie używaj go w po liżu ani

nad wodą, np. nad wanną, umywalką, zlewem, itp. Jeśli używasz

suszarki w łazience, po zakończeniu suszenia włosów wyłącz

urządzenie z prądu, gdyż o ecność wody stanowi zagrożenie,

nawet gdy suszarka jest wyłączona.

◗Jako dodatkowe za ezpieczenie radzimy zainstalować w

o wodzie elektrycznym zasilającym gniazda ezpiecznik RCD o

znamionowym prądzie zerowym nie przekraczającym 30 mA.

Porozum się w tej sprawie z wykwalifikowanym elektrykiem.

◗Przechowuj urządzenie w miejscu niedostępnym dla małych

dzieci.

◗Nigdy nie zatykaj kratek wentylacyjnych.

◗W przypadku przegrzania urządzenie automatycznie wyłączy się.

Należy wtedy odłączyć urządzenie od zasilania, wyjmując wtyczkę

Korzystanie z urządzenia

Suszenie

1Wetknij wtyczkę do gniazdka sieciowego.

2Włącz urządzenie za pomocą przełącznika strumienia powietrza

(rys. 1).

3Wy ierz żądany strumień powietrza: I - delikatny lu II - mocny

(rys. 2).

4Wy ierz żądaną temperaturę strumienia powietrza: pozycję x-

dla powietrza zimnego, pozycję @- dla powietrza ciepłego i

pozycję #- dla powietrza gorącego.

5W celu szy kiego suszenia wy ierz mocny i gorący strumień

powietrza.

6A y wysuszyć krótkie włosy lu w celu ułożenia włosów, wy ierz

delikatny i ciepły strumień powietrza.

7Utrzymując suszarkę w niewielkiej odległości od głowy, wykonuj

nią ruchy szczotkujące, susząc w ten sposó włosy (rys. 3).

Modelowanie

◗Na zakończenie, w celu uzyskania długotrwałego efektu ułożenia

włosów użyj chłodnego strumienia powietrza.

1Naciśnij nie ieski przycisk i przytrzymaj go, a y włączyć strumień

chłodnego powietrza (rys. 4).

◗Gdy zwolnisz przycisk, urządzenie zacznie ponownie pracować w

żądanej temperaturze.

Nasadki

Koncentrator

◗A y skoncentrować przepływ powietrza, na wylocie powietrza

można założyć koncentrator.

1W tym celu należy po prostu wcisnąć nasadkę skupiającą na

wylot powietrza suszarki (rys. 5).

◗Koncentrator umożliwia skierowanie strumienia powietrza

ezpośrednio na szczotkę lu grze ień podczas czesania włosów

(rys. 6).

Delikatny dla włosów ergonomiczny dyfuzor

◗Dyfuzor został zaprojektowany specjalnie w celu delikatnego

suszenia zarówno prostych, jak i kręconych lu pofalowanych

włosów.Wytwarza on delikatny strumień powietrza, szy ko

suszący włosy. Jednocześnie dyfuzor pozwala nadać włosom

o jętość i sprężystość (rys. 7).

1W tym celu należy po prostu wcisnąć dyfuzor na wylot powietrza

suszarki.A y odłączyć dyfuzor, należy ściągnąć go z wylotu

powietrza suszarki (rys. 8).

◗A y zwiększyć o jętość fryzury przy nasadzie włosów, wkładaj

paluszki dyfuzora we włosy tak, a y dotykały skóry głowy (rys. 9).

◗Następnie wykonuj ruchy o rotowe suszarką, równomiernie

rozprowadzając ciepłe powietrze pomiędzy włosami (rys. 10).

Kręcone lu pofalowane włosy

◗Układając włosy z lokami lu falami, trzymaj dyfuzor w odległości

10-15 cm od głowy, a y umożliwić stopniowe suszenie włosów.

◗Możesz jednocześnie układać włosy swo odną dłonią lu gru ym

grze ieniem (rys. 11).

◗Możesz również zgniatać pasma włosów w dłoni, nadając im

podczas suszenia loki lu fale. Zapo iegnie to opuszczaniu się

loków lu nie dopuści do utworzenia się kędziorów.
