Important

◗Check whether the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds

to the mains voltage in your home before you connect the

appliance.

◗If the mains cord of this appliance is damaged,it must only be

replaced by Philips or their service representative,as special tools

and/or parts are required.

◗Never use accessories or parts made by other manufacturers or

that are not specifically recommended by Philips.Your guarantee

will become invalid if you use such parts or accessories.

◗Check the sieve every time you want to use the appliance.If you

detect any cracks or damage,do not use the appliance and contact

the nearest Philips Service Centre.

Preparing the appliance for use

Keep the appliance out of the reach of children and do not let it run

unattended.

C1Put the jug in place and turn the handle in the direction of the

arrow until the jug will not go any further.

C2Put the pulp container on the jug.

Make sure that the recesses of the pulp container cover the projections

on the jug.

C3Place the sieve in the middle of the pulp container.

C4Put the lid on the jug and turn it in the direction of the arrow until

it will not go any further.

The projection of the lid now covers the handle of the jug.

C5You can put the chute on the lid.

6Put the plug in the wall socket.

Ingredients and tips

- Use fresh fruit and vegetables;they contain more juice.Particularly

suitable for processing in the juice extractor are pineapples,

beetroots,celery stalks,apples,cucumbers, carrots,spinach,melons,

tomatoes,oranges and grapes.

- You don’t have to remove thin peels or skins.Only thick peels,e.g.

those of oranges,pineapples and uncooked beetroots need to be

removed.Also remove the white pith of citrus fruits because it has a

bitter taste.

- When preparing apple juice,remember that the thickness of the

apple juice depends on the kind of apple you are using.Some kinds

of apples are more juicy, while others produce a thicker juice. Choose

a kind of apple that produces the type of juice you prefer.

- Apple juice turns brown very quickly.You can slow down this process

by adding a few drops of lemon juice.

- Fruits that contain starch, such as bananas,papayas,avocados,figs and

mangoes are not suitable for processing in the juice extractor.Use a

food processor,blender or bar blender to process these fruits.

- Leaves and leafstalks of e.g. lettuce can also be processed in the juice

extractor.

- Drink the juice immediately after you have extracted it. If it is

exposed to air for some time,the juice will lose its taste and

nutritional value.

How to use the appliance

1Wash the fruit and/or vegetables and cut them into pieces that fit

into the chute.

2Switch the appliance on by pressing the on/off switch.

The appliance will only function if the jug and the lid have been

properly mounted onto the motor unit.

C3Put the pieces in the chute and press them gently down with the

pusher.

Do not exert too much pressure on the pusher;this could affect the

quality of the end result and it could even cause the sieve to come to a

halt.

Never put an object or your fingers in the chute.

4When the flow of juice into the jug has stopped,switch the

appliance off and wait until the sieve has stopped rotating

completely.

Do not fill the jug beyond the MAX indication to prevent juice from

being spilt.If you want to extract a large quantity of juice,empty the jug

at a certain point during the process.

Do not let the appliance run continuously for more than two minutes.If

you have not finished extracting juice, switch the appliance off and allow

it to cool down for two minutes before you continue.

C5Pour out the juice.

It is not necessary to disassemble the juice extractor.

If the pulp container is full:

1Switch the appliance off and wait until the sieve has stopped

rotating completely.

2Empty the pulp container.

3Reassemble the juice extractor and continue.

Cleaning

◗Switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the wall socket

before you start cleaning the appliance.

◗Do not use abrasive cleaning agents,scourers,wire wool,acetone,

alcohol etc.

1Remove the parts from the motor unit.

2Clean the parts that have been in contact with food in hot soapy

water immediately after use and rinse them with hot water.

Do not put any of the parts in the dishwasher.

C3To clean the sieve,use the soft brush supplied.

4Clean the motor unit with a damp cloth.

If necessary,you can use some cleaning agent.

Never immerse the motor unit in water nor rinse it under the tap.

impérativement être remplacé par un réparateur indépendant

Philips. Votre garantie ne sera plus valable si vous utilisez de tels

accessoires ou pièces.

◗Contrôlez le tamis chaque fois que vous désirez utiliser l'appareil.

Si vous détectez la moindre fissure ou le moindre

endommagement,n'utilisez pas l'appareil et prenez contact avec le

centre de service Philips le plus proche.

Préparation de l'appareil à l'utilisation

Gardez l'appareil hors de portée des enfants et ne le faites pas

fonctionner sans surveillance.

C1Mettez le récipient en place et tournez la poignée dans le sens de

la flèche jusqu'à ce que le récipient se bloque.

C2Déposez le réservoir à pulpe sur le récipient.

Assurez-vous que les renfoncements du réservoir à pulpe couvrent les

protubérances du récipient.

C3Placez le tamis au milieu du réservoir à pulpe.

C4Placez le couvercle sur le récipient et tournez-le dans le sens de la

flèche jusqu'à ce qu'il se bloque.

La protubérance du couvercle couvre maintenant la poignée du

récipient.

C5Vous pouvez déposer le goulot sur le couvercle.

6Insérez la fiche dans la prise murale.

Ingrédients et conseils

- Utilisez des fruits et légumes frais : ils contiennent davantage de jus.

Les ananas,betteraves,céleris blanchis,pommes,concombres,

carottes,épinards, melons,tomates,oranges et pamplemousses

conviennent particulièrement bien à être traités dans l'extracteur de

jus.

- Il est inutile d'enlever les fines membranes ou les peaux. Seules les

peaux épaisses,comme celles des oranges, des ananas et des

betteraves crues doivent être enlevées. De même,retirez la peau

blanche des agrumes,qui a un goût amer.

- Quand vous préparez un jus de pommes,n'oubliez pas que la

consistance du jus de pommes dépend du type et de la qualité de

pommes utilisées.Certains types de pommes sont plus juteux que

d'autres.Choisissez donc le type de pomme en conséquence.

- Le jus de pomme brunit très rapidement. Vous pouvez ralentir ce

processus en ajoutant quelques gouttes de jus de citron.

- Les fruits qui contiennent de l'amidon, comme les bananes,les

papayes,les avocats,les figues et les mangues,ne conviennent pas

être traitées dans à l'extracteur de jus. Pour ces fruits,utilisez un

food processor,un blender ou un bar blender.

- Les feuilles de laitue, par exemple, peuvent également être traitées

dans l'extracteur de jus.

- Buvez le jus immédiatement après l'avoir extrait. S'il est exposé à

l'air pendant un certain temps,le jus perdra son goût et sa valeur

nutritionnelle.

Comment utiliser l'appareil

1Lavez les fruits et/ou les légumes et coupez-les en morceaux qui

entreront dans le goulot.

2Mettez l'appareil en marche en appuyant sur le bouton

marche/arrêt.

L'appareil ne fonctionnera que si le récipient et le couvercle ont été

correctement montés sur l'unité motrice.

C3Mettez les morceaux dans le goulot et pressez-les doucement vers

le bas au moyen du poussoir.

N'exercez pas une trop grande pression sur le poussoir :ceci pourrait

affecter la qualité du résultat final et pourrait même obturer le tamis.

Ne n'introduisez jamais un objet ou vos doigts dans le goulot.

4Lorsque l'écoulement de jus dans le récipient s'est arrêté,coupez

l'appareil et attendez que le tamis ait complètement cessé de

tourner.

Ne remplissez pas le récipient au-delà de l'indication MAX afin

d'empêcher le jus de se répandre. Si vous désirez extraire une grande

quantité de jus,videz le récipient pendant le processus.

Ne faites pas fonctionner l'appareil en continu pendant plus de deux

minutes. Si vous n'avez pas terminé d'extraire le jus,coupez l'appareil

et laissez-le refroidir pendant deux minutes avant de continuer.

C5Versez le jus.

Il n'est pas nécessaire de démonter l'extracteur de jus.

Si le réservoir à pulpe est plein :

1Coupez l'appareil et attendez que le tamis ait complètement cessé

de tourner.

2Videz le réservoir à pulpe.

3Remontez l'extracteur de jus et continuez.

Nettoyage

◗Coupez l'appareil et débranchez-le avant de commencer à le

nettoyer.

◗N'utilisez ni produits d'entretien abrasifs,ni éponge à récurer,ni

laine métallique,ni acétone,alcool,etc.

1Enlevez les pièces de l'unité motrice.

2Nettoyez les pièces qui ont été en contact avec les aliments dans

de l'eau chaude savonneuse immédiatement après usage,et rincez-

les à l'eau chaude.

Ne mettez aucune des pièces au lave-vaisselle.

C3Pour nettoyer le tamis,utilisez la brosse souple fournie.

4Nettoyez l'unité motrice avec un tissu humide.

Si cela est nécessaire,vous pouvez utiliser un produit d'entretien.

Ne plongez jamais l'unité motrice dans l'eau et ne la rincez jamais sous

le robinet.
