Safety Warnings
Read all the instructions carefully before using
this appliance and keep them for future reference.
1. Always ensure that your power supply voltage
matches this appliance’s rating label.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. The temperature of
accessible surfaces may be very high when the
appliance is operating.
3. Never immerse the appliance or cord in water
and always keep the electrical contacts dry.
4. Allow the appliance to cool completely before
cleaning or storing.
5. If the mains cable is damaged it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent,
or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a
hazard.
6. Do not let the mains cable overhang the edge
of the work surface or allow it to touch hot
surfaces or sources of heat or flame.
7. Never place the appliance on or near a source

of heat such as a cooker ring or gas flame.
8. Do not use the appliance for any other uses
than its intended use.
9. Oversize food, metal foil packages or utensils
must not be inserted in the appliance as they
may cause fire or electric shock.
10.Bread may burn. Your appliance must not
be used near or below curtains or other
combustible materials. It must be watched
when in use.
11.The appliance must be placed on a flat stable
surface and should not be subjected to
vibrations.
12.Don’t attempt to dislodge food while the
appliance is operating.
13.The appliance is not intended to be operated
by means of an external timer or separate
remote-control system.
14.This appliance can be used by children
aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental

capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance
in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved.
15.Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children unless they are older than 8
and supervised.
16.This appliance is designed for indoor use only.
17.To prevent the risk of electric shock or ÿre
hazard due to overheating, ensure that
curtains and other materials do not obstruct
the ventilation vents.
18.Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of
children less than 8 years.
19. To remove any crumbs from the toaster, slide
out the crumb tray from under the toaster,
empty and replace in the toaster before using
it again.

FIRST TIME USE
Please note there may be manufacturing residue or oil remaining in
the toaster or heating element. Odour may be emitted the first time
you use it. This is normal and will not occur after using your toaster
for several times. The first time you use your toaster we suggest
that you operate it without bread.
OPERATION
1. Insert the plug into a suitable mains supply socket and turn the
power on.
2. Place up to two slices of bread, muffins, or bagels into the bread
slots.
3. Select the desired browning setting, from No.1 to No.7 on the
browning control .(No.1-lightest, No.7-darkest).When using the
toaster for the first time we suggest you toast on number 3.
Varying types of bread and personal preference may require a
different browning setting.

4. Press the carriage control lever down until it clicks into place.
Toasting cycle will automatically commence. Please note: if the
toaster is not plugged in and switched on at the power point the
carriage control lever will not click into place.
5. The toaster turns off when the desired toast colour is achieved
and automatically raises the toast.
The toasting process can be stopped at any time by pressing the
cancel button.
6. Use the bread rack to heat up rolls or other bread. Place the bread
on the top of the rack. Please note: Do not heat up more than 2
items at a time. Select browning setting and press the carriage
control lever down to switch on the toaster. Toasting cycle will
automatically commence.
TOASTING FROZEN BREAD:
To toast frozen bread, place the bread into the bread slots and select
the desired Browing Setting. Press the carriage control lever down
until it clicks into place then press the Frozen Button.
REHEATING TOAST:
The toaster allows you to reheat toast without additional toasting.
To reheat, place toast into bread slots, lower the carriage control
lever until it clicks into place and press the Reheat Button.In the
unlikely event that the bread or crumpet becomes jammed, switch
the toaster off at the power outlet, remove the plug from the supply
socket and carefully ease the bread out of the toaster, ensuring that
you do not damage the heating element.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Remove the mains plug from the mains socket and allow the toaster
to cool down before cleaning.Do not use harsh cleaners or solvents
as they may damage the casing.To remove crumbs, slide the crumb
tray out at the bottom of toaster by holding the crumb tray handle.
(The metal part may be hot). Empty the crumbs into the bin and
clean the crumb tray.

The body of the toaster should be cleaned using a cloth damp-ened
with warm water. Make sure you do not allow water to seep into the
controls or heating elements.When not in use, the mains cable may
be wound under the bottom of the toaster.
The crumb tray should be cleaned regularly. Do not allow
breadcrumbs to accumulate in the bottom of the toaster.
