źDamage to the power cord or plug can lead to an electrocution
hazard.
źBefore maintenance work always disconnect the unit from the power
supply.
źIf you are using an extension cord, make sure that the total power
consumption of the equipment plugged into the extension cord does
not exceed the extension cord power rating. Extension cords should
be arranged in such a way as to avoid tripping hazards.
źDo not let cord hang over edge of counter, or touch any hot surface.
źThe device is not designed to be controlled via an external timer,
separate remote control, or other equipment that can turn the device
on automatically.
źWhen unplugging the power cord from electrical outlet, hold it by the
plug only and remove the plug carefully. Never pull the cable as it
may cause damage to the plug or power cord.
źNever leave the product connected to the power source without
supervision.
źIt is necessary to check, if total current consumption of all devices
plugged into the wall outlet does not exceed the fuse in the circuit.

individuals are supervised or instructed with regard to the safe
operation of the appliance and are informed about the potential
hazards.
źNever expose the product to atmospheric conditions such as direct
sun light or rain, etc... Never use the product in humid conditions (like
bathroom or camping house).
źIf the power cable is damaged the product should be taken to a
professional service location to be xed or replaced to prevent any
hazards from arising.
źNever use the product with a damaged power cable or if it was
dropped or damaged in any other way or if it does not work properly.
Do not try to repair the defected product by yourself as it can lead to
electric shock. Always return the damaged device to a professional
service in order to repair it. All the repairs should only be performed
by authorized service professionals. Any attempted unauthorised
repairs performed can be a hazard to the user.
źAdditional precautions should be taken when using this device in the
presence of children or pets. Do not allow children to play with the
device.

źDisorder and insufficient lighting lead to accidents.
źOnly Original accessories should be used, as well as accessories
recommended by the manufacturer. Using accessories which are not
recommended by the manufacturer may result in damage of the
device and may render the device unsafe for use.
źKeep your workplace tidy and well lit.
źDo not use power tools in explosive atmospheres, i.e. in the presence
of ammable liquids, gases or dust.
źIf it is possible to t power tools for dust extraction or collection,
check that they are tted and working correctly.
źUsing such power tools reduces the risk posed by the presence of
dust.
źDo not lean out too far when working with your power tool.
źA moment of carelessness may cause losing control of your tool.
źKeep children away from the work area and DO NOT allow children to
pull on the power cord - this can cause serious injury.
źAvoid starting the power tool unintentionally. Make sure the power
switch is in the OFF position before connecting the power tool to the
mains. Carrying a power tool with your nger on its trigger or
plugging in a power tool after switching it on can lead to accidents.
źRemove any spanners or tools from the power tool before starting it.
A tool or spanner still connected to the rotating part of the power
tool may cause personal injury.
źBe careful when working with power tools, concentrate on your work
and use common sense. Do not use a power tool when tired or under
the inuence of drugs, alcohol or medication. Even a moment of
carelessness while working with a power tool can lead to a serious
accident.
źMaintain a stable posture and balance. This allows you to keep better
control of your power tool in unforeseen situations.
źWear appropriate clothing. Do not work in loose clothing and do not
wear jewellery while working. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves
away from moving parts. The moving parts of a power tool can catch
and pull in loose pieces of clothing, jewellery or long hair.

źDo not operate the tool at a higher rotation speed than the maximum
rotation speed of the drill bit you are using. If the speed is too high,
the drill bit may break.
źLoss of control of the power tool may result in personal injury.
źAlways start drilling at a low speed and keep the drill bit in contact
with the workpiece.
źSecure the workpiece. Clamping the workpiece in a clamping device
or vice is safer than holding it by hand.
źIn the event of work tool jamming, switch off the power tool immedi-
ately. A jammed tool can lead to a high-reaction torque causing a
kickback.
źUse appropriate detectors to locate the installation or seek assistance
from your local service provider. Contact with live wires may result in
a re or electric shock. Damage to the gas tube may lead to an
explosion. Bursting of a water pipe leads to material damage.
źMake sure that the power tool is fully stopped before putting it down.
źThe power tool is designed for drilling in wood, metal, concrete,
ceramic tiles and plastics.
źHold the power tool rmly. High reaction torques may periodically
occur while tightening and loosening screws and bolts.
źThe device may only be used in a dry, well-lit environment.
źThis tool should not be used by anyone under the age of 16.
źWhen carrying out work where the tool or clamping attachment
could come into contact with concealed electric wires, hold the power
tool only by insulated surfaces. Contact of the tool or clamping
attachment with a live electrical conductor may cause voltage to be
transmitted to non-insulated metal parts of the power tool, causing a
risk of electric shock.
źEnsure that the vents are free from debris.
źBefore making any adjustments, changing accessories or storing the
power tool, move the switch to the off position to disconnect the
power tool from the power supply. Such precautions reduce the risk
of accidentally starting the power tool.

źWorking on some materials generates dust that may pose health
risks, cause allergic reactions or respiratory diseases, and contribute
to developing cancer. Ensure good ventilation at the work station and
use dust masks with an appropriate protection rating.
źTake special care when changing the work tool. It can be very hot
and/or sharp immediately after use. It is recommended to use protec-
tive gloves.
źMaterials containing asbestos must be handled by properly trained
personnel.
źThe machine can only be used in indoors with a functioning ventila-
tion system.
źCheck the condition of the dust cover. In the event of damage,
replace it with a new one or send the device to a professional service
centre.
źIt is recommended to use an additional handle. It reduces the risk of
losing control of the power tool.
źUse only clean and sharp cutting tools (such as drill bits). Using
blunted tools reduces work efficiency and increases the risk of
accidents.
źWear hearing protection while impact drilling.
źSelect the operating mode and the work tool according to the type of
the workpiece.
źOnly apply pressure in line with the drill bit. Do not push the drill or
the drill bit too hard.

Preparing the Device for Operation
Note: While installing or replacing the work tool, the device should be disconnected from the power source.
1. Loosen the quick-release chuck by opening the hole (1a) by holding the chuck base (1c) and tur ning the
clamping ring (1b) counter-clockwise.
2. Insert the work tool (drill bit) into the chuck (1a) and tighten it with the clamping r ing by turning it
clockwise.
When the device is ready for operation, connect the power cord to the power source.
To install the depth gauge, loosen the additional chuck mounting. Insert the gauge, adjusting its position to
the expected depth of the hole and the length of the drill.
Installing the Depth Gauge
OPERATION
Make sure that there are no wires, pipes or other sensitive infrastructure elements in the drilling area. Start
drilling by applying the tip of the drill bit to the workpiece and lightly pressing the drill bit in line with the
drill bit. Pressing the drill trigger controls the speed; the harder the trigger is squeezed, the higher the speed.
Pay attention to the discharge of drilled material. When drilling in the oor or in the case of deeper holes,
ensure that the drilled material is discharged or that the hole is blown through before deepening the hole.
You can change the direction of drilling using the switch. Do not change the switch setting while drilling.
Impact drilling is recommended when drilling in concrete. When drilling in brittle materials, impact drilling
can be switched off.
