3
The GSM-ICE Gateway connects almost any alarm
panel with the communication ecosystem. This allows
for alarm signal reporting to the control room, control
of the alarm system with the smart phone app and the
addition of IP cameras using the same app. Smart
home/business IoT functions will be available in the
near future.

Key switch arming via the mobile application
can be achieved using a plug-in relay
expander module.
Key switch arming
See panel specific programming and wiring
instructions to follow.
Your Dealer Admin User should input the
3
following into the ICE Admin portal prior to
installation.
BEFORE INSTALLATION
https://iceadmin.secure.direct
2. Add the g .ateway serial number
The serial number can be scanned from
the outer packaging prior to installation or
from the unit on-site and send to your
Dealer Admin User for input. A Panel ID is
generated automatically and linked in the
system by the unit serial number.
1. Create an account.
3. Select a service plan, correct panel type
and activate the account.
3
4. Add main and sub users for the ICE
Control mobile app.
5. Input all other relevant customer
information.
6. Select/confirm the correct panel type.
Should the technician discover that a
different panel is used on-site, the Dealer
Admin User should be informed and the
3
correct panel type input into ICE Admin
portal. This input overrides selection in
point 3 if different.
Maximum recommended wire length is 5m.
INSTALLATION
Antenna and unit mounting position
NB: Do not mount units with an internal
antenna inside a metal enclosure.
Mount the gateway in its final position only
when the optimal signal position has been
determined - see LED indications.
When using a magnetic external antenna,
mount either on top or underneath the
control panel with a vertical orientation. Do
not mount on the side with a horizontal
orientation.
12 Volt power connection
2
Always use a minimum of 0.5mm stranded
wire for the 12V source. Four-core wire is
definitely NOT recommended.
