1SAFETY DEVICES

Overheat Switch:

This device automatically cuts the gas off if the heater exceeds a predetermined tempera-

ture. This is normally caused by an obstruction in front of the louvres, or a blocked fan

filter.

If this switch operates, turn the unit off, remove the obstruction (clean filters) let the

unit cool off before re-operating.

Fusible Link

Backs up the overheat switch. If the fusible link cuts the unit off, a service call by an

authorised person is required to replace the link.

Flame Failure Device

If the flame goes out during operation this device cuts the unit off (lockout). To reset,

turn the unit off, then on again.

Fan Switch

Turns the fan on automatically when the heat exchanger warms up and off when it cools

down. This helps to prevent cold draughts and adds to the unit’s efficiency.
