OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS EN
Before operating this unit, please read this manual thoroughly.
WARNING
To reduce fire or shock hazard, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture. Use the
frame with the supplied power supply only.
Attention
The electromagnetic fields at the specific frequencies may influence the picture of
this digital photo frame.
Notice
If static electricity or electromagnetism causes data transfer to discontinue midway
(fail), restart the application or disconnect and connect the communication cable
(USB, etc) again.
Disposal of Old Electrical & Electronic Equipment (Applicable in the European
Union and other European countries with separate
collection systems). This symbol on the product or on
its packaging indicates that this product shall not be
treated as household waste. Instead it shall be
handed over to the applicable collection point for the
recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. By
ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will
help prevent potential negative consequences for the
environment and human health, which could
otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling
of this product.

herein may also be governed by the terms of a separate user license agreement.

damages or loss of the recording contents which may be caused by use or
malfunction of the digital photo frame or memory card.
Backup recommendations
To avoid potential risk of data loss caused by accidental operation or malfunction
of the digital photo frame, we recommend that you save a backup copy of your
data.
Notes on touch screen
• Do not press against the LCD screen. The screen may be discolored and that
may cause a malfunction.
• Exposing the LCD screen to direct sunlight for a long period may cause
malfunctions.
• The LCD screen is manufactured using extremely high-precision technology, so
over 99.99% of the pixels are operational for effective use. However, there may
be some tiny black points and/or bright points (white, red, blue or green in color)
that constantly appear on the LCD screen. These points are normal in the
manufacturing process and do not affect the viewing in any way.
• Images may trail across on the LCD screen in a cold location. This is not a
malfunction.
IN NO EVENT SHALL SAMOTECH BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL,
CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER BASED ON TORT,
CONTACT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH

GETTING STARTED EN
CONGRATULATIONS on your purchase of a SAMOTECH Digital Photo Frame.
Please read carefully and follow all instructions in the manual and those marked
on the product before first use. Failing to follow these warnings could result in
personal injury or damage to the device. Also, remember to keep this User’s
Manual in a convenient location for future reference.
Important: Save the original box and all packing material for future shipping
needs.
Setting up your photo frame for the first time
Photo frame position
The photo frame can be installed in either landscape or portrait mode
1. Choose your preferred mode and insert the stand into one of the holes.
Turn the stand clockwise to lock in a position.

2. Insert the plug of the AC power supply into the DC IN 5V jack on the rear of
the photo frame
3. Connect the AC power supply to the wall socket. Press and hold the Power
button for 2-3 seconds for the frame to power up. Now your frame is ready to
be set up.

Frameo App - Photo Frame Quick Setup
When starting your frame for the first time, you will need to setup the frame.
● Select a language. This will be the language used on the frameo.
● Connect your frame to the internet by connecting it to a Wi-Fi.
● Frameo may ask you to update to the latest version. It is recommended
to update your frame before continuing if asked to.
● Enter your name, and the location where you have placed your frame
e.g. “John Doe” and “Living room”, “Kitchen” or “Office”.
Finally set the timezone if not already correct.

Start using frameo on your phone or tablet
Frameo App
To send photos to your frame, download and install the frameo app from Google
Play or App Store by searching for “frameo” or scanning the relevant QR code
displayed on the packaging box.
Next step is to connect frameo with your friends and family by providing
them with a code from your frame.
Connecting a new friend
● Make sure that your friend has downloaded and installed the frameo app.
● Click the add friend icon on your frame . A dialog will appear
showing a connection code, which is valid for 12 hours.
● Now share this code in whatever fashion you prefer e.g. SMS, E-Mail,
IM, phone call, to your friend.
● Once your friends have added the code in their frameo app, they will
automatically appear on your frame and be able to send you photos.

Navigating your frameo app
Swipe left or right to go through your photos.
To access the menu, simply tap once on the screen.
In the menu you will find the
most used features.
Add friend
This will generate a code that you
can share with your friends and
family so they can connect and
send photos to your frame.
Gallery
Gallery allows for easy and fast navigation through your photos.
Settings
General Settings
Hide photo
Allows you to choose any photos you want to exclude from the slideshow
Fit to frame/Fill frame
Change how the photo is shown on the screen.
Fit to frame is set by default. The photo is scaled so that it fills the whole
screen. It is centered around what is selected as the most important part.
The Fill frame option will make sure that the entire photo is shown on the
screen.
Adjust photo feature is only available when the photo is set to fill frame.
It allows you to adjust the position of photo in the frame for a better fit.

Settings
Through the settings, you can personalize your frame to your needs.
My frame
Frame name
Changes the name of your frame. This is also the name the connected friends
and family will see in their list of connected frames in the smartphone app.
Frame location
Changes the location of your frame. This is the location displayed on your friends'
and family's list of connected frames which can help to distinguish frames from
each other.
Set language
Sets the language used on the frame.
Set time zone
Sets the time zone used on the frame.
Enable/Disable 24-hour format
Enables, and disables, 24-hour time format.
Sleep mode
Frameo offers a sleep mode which turns off the screen to reduce power
consumption. The default setting is to turn off the screen at 23:00 and turn on the
screen again at 07:00. To change this just set the sleep mode start/end time.
Your frame is not powered down, so you will still be able to receive photos during
the sleep mode period.
Manage photos
In the manage photos menu you can see how many photos are on your frame
and the storage they use. You can also see the amount of storage left available
on your device for storing new photos.
