5. Montage

Der Achskörper des Schwerlast-Linearsystems wird über die im

Profilboden vorhandenen Nuten mit Nutsteinen bzw. über die auf

den Profilseiten vorhandenen Aufnahmen für Befestigungsklötze

am Maschinengestell oder Trägerteil befestigt.

Die zu verfahrenden Aufbauten werden über die mitgelieferten

Zentrierscheiben auf dem Laufschlitten justiert und mit den in

der Schlittenplatte eingebrachten Gewinden verschraubt.

5. Assembly

The axle beam of the heavy-duty linear system is secured to the

machine frame or carrier via the grooves in the profile base using

T-nuts and/or via the fastening block mountings on the profile

sides.

The superstructures to be operated are adjusted using the

centring disks supplied on the slide and are screwed using the

threads integrated in the slide plate.

6. Anschluss und Inbetriebnahme des

Schwerlast-Linearsystems

6.1 SLF-P mit Pneumatikantrieb

Ansteuerung

Beim Anschließen des Schwerlast-Linearsystems SLF-P muss

die Energieversorgung abgeschaltet sein. Beachten Sie auch

die Sicherheitshinweise in Kapitel 1 dieser Montage- und

Betriebsanleitung.

Verwenden Sie für den Betrieb des Schwerlast-Linearsystems

mit Pneumatikantrieb ausschließlich ein 5/3-Wege Ventil.

Fall A

Linearachse in horzontaler Einbaulage:

Verwenden Sie ein beidseitig betätigtes Magnetventil mit

Grundstellung »belüftet«.

6. Connection and commissioning of

the heavy-duty linear system

6.1 SLF-P with pneumatic drive

Drive

The power supply must be switched off when connecting up the

heavy-duty linear system SLF-P. Please also observe the safety

instructions set out in Chapter 1 of these assembly and operating

instructions.

Only a 5/3 way valve may be used for the operation of the

heavy-duty linear system with pneumatic drive.

Case A

Linear axis installed horizontally:

Use a solenoid valve, which may be actuated on both sides, with

normal setting, „ventilated“.

Damit gewährleisten Sie nach jedem Hochfahren Ihrer Anlage

eine gleichmäßige Befüllung beider Kammern des Pneumatik-

zylinders.

Wird diese Voraussetzung bauseits nicht erfüllt, fährt

der Laufschlitten beim ersten Umsteuern ungebremst

in die gegenüberliegende Endlage. Dies kann zu einem

Kolbenbruch führen, da der Kolben des Pneumatik-

zylinders wegen eines fehlenden Luftpolsters unge-

bremst gegen den Endanschlag schlägt.

Fall B

Die Linearachse in vertikaler Einbaulage

Verwenden Sie ein beidseitig betätiges Magnetventil mit

Grundstellung »geschlossen«.

This guarantees the uniform filling of both chambers of the

pneumatic cylinder every time the system is switched on

If this prerequisite is not met in the design, at the

first change of direction the slide moves unrestricted

to the opposite end position. This can break the

piston, as the piston of the pneumatic cylinder hits

the end stop unchecked due to the lack of an air

cushion.

Case B

Linear axis installed vertically

Use a solenoid valve, which may be actuated on both sides, with

normal setting: “closed”.

Damit gewährleisten Sie kurzzeitig, nach dem Abschalten der

Anlage, dass sich die Handlingsmasse nicht nach unten bewegt.

HINWEIS:

Bei einem längeren Stillstand der Anlage kann aufgrund der

Leckage ein Absinken erfolgen.

Sehen Sie eine Absenksperre vor oder fahren Sie die Achse in

eine entsprechende Position, dass ein Absinken nicht möglich

ist.

This guarantees, that after the system is switched off, the handling

weight is not allowed to move downwards for a short time.

NOTE:

If the system is at a standstill for a long period of time a drop may

occur if the axis is not airtight.

Provide a drop restrictor or move the axis into a suitable position

where a drop is not possible.

Luftanschlüsse und Endlagendämpfung

Der Standardanschluss erfolgt einseitig auf der rechten Seite

des Schwerlast-Linearsystems. Bei Beaufschlagung der unteren

Luftanschlussbohrung mit Druck fährt der Laufschlitten nach

rechts.

Die in den Enddeckeln integrierten pneumatischen Endlagen-

dämpfungen können mittels der Einstellschraube über den

Luftanschlüssen je nach Aufbau, Masse und Geschwindigkeit

eingestellt werden.

6.2 SLF-R mit Zahnriemenantrieb

Beim Anschließen des Schwerlast-Linearsystems SLF-R muss

die Energieversorgung abgeschaltet sein. Beachten Sie auch

Vor Inbetriebnahme des Schwerlast-Linearsystems

SLF-R ist der Antriebsmotor im abgebauten Zustand

laufen zu lassen, um die Drehrichtung festzulegen

und den Zahnriemenantrieb nicht zu beschädigen

6.2 SLF-R with Toothed-Belt Drive

The power supply must be switched off when connecting up the

heavy-duty linear system, SLF-R. Please also observe the safety

instructions set out in chapter 1 of these assembly and operating

instructions.

Before commissioning the heavy-duty linear system,

SLF-R, allow the drive motor to run in uninstalled

status, in order to determine the direction of rotation

and thus not damage the toothed-belt drive.

Standard connection is on one side on the right side of the heavy-

duty linear system. When the lower air connection hole is exposed

to pressure the slide moves to the right.

The end position insulation integrated in the end covers can be

adjusted via the air connections according to design, weight and

speed, using an adjustment screw.

Proximity switches

The inductive proximity switches (end position reached) required

for automatic operation is mounted using the holes intended for

this purpose in the stop strips of the end position package or

using the additional holder (accessory).

Motoranbausatz

Der Anbau des Antriebsmotors erfolgt an einer der vier Anschluss-

möglichkeiten(»A1« – »A4«) an den Umlenkgehäusen über

einen Motoranbausatz (Zubehör), bestehend aus Antriebswelle,

spielfreier Wellenkupplung und einem spezifischen Motorflansch.

Umlenkkopf

Motor add-on kit

The drive motor is mounted at one of the four possible connection

points (“A1” – “A4”) onto the re-routing housing using a motor

add-on kit (accessory), consisting of a drive shaft, free of play

shaft coupling and a specific motor flange.

The free of play shaft coupling described has an insulating

function and is principally necessary to balance out a possible

misalignment between the motor and the re-routing housing,

which would lead to premature wear of the drive or motor

mounting.

HINWEIS:

Die Befestigungsschrauben an den Umlenkköpfen dürfen nur mit 7 – 8 Nm

angezogen werden!

Bei der Größe SLF-00 können nur die Anschlussmöglichkeiten »A 1» und

»A 3« genutzt werden.

NOTE:

The fastening screws at the reversing heads should not be tightened more

than 7 - 8 Nm!

For size SLF-00 only connections “A1” and “A3” can be used.

6.3 SLF-S mit Kugelrollspindelantrieb

Beim Anschließen des Schwerlast-Linearsystems SLF-S muss

den Kugelrollspindelantrieb nicht zu beschädigen.

stirnseitig an dem dafür vorgesehenen Antriebszapfen über

einen Motoranbausatz (Zubehör), bestehend aus spielfreier

Wellenkupplung und einem spezifischen Motorflansch.

6.3 SLF-S with roller ball-screw drive

The power supply must be switched off when connecting up the

heavy-duty linear system SLF-S. Please also observe the safety

instructions set out in chapter 1 of these assembly and operating

instructions.

Before commissioning the heavy–duty linear system

SLF-S, allow the drive motor to run in uninstalled

status, in order to determine the direction of rotation

and thus not damage the roller ball-screw drive.

Motor add-on kit

The drive motor is mounted on the front face of the left end

cover, on the drive journal intended for the purpose using a motor

add-on kit (accessory), consisting of a free of play shaft coupling

and a specific motor flange.

und ist grundsätzlich erforderlich, um einen eventuellen Versatz

zwischen Motor- und Festlagergehäuse auszugleichen, welcher

zu einem frühen Verschleiß der Spindel- bzw. Motorlager führen

Der Anbau der für den Automatikbetrieb notwendigen induktiven

Näherungsschalter (Software-Endschalter) und zusätzlich

empfohlener mechanischer Zwangsöffner nach VDE (Hardware-

Endschalter) erfolgt über zusätzliche Halter (Zubehör).

The free of play shaft coupling described has an insulating

function and is principally necessary to balance out a possible

misalignment between the motor and the fixed bearing housing,

which would lead to premature wear of the spindle or motor

mounting.

The inductive proximity switches required for the automatic

operation mode (software limit switch) and additional recommen-

ded mechanical holder according to VDE (hardware limit switch)

are mounted using additional brackets (accessory).

7. Wartung

Mit dem Schwerlast-Linearsystem haben Sie ein hochbelastbares

Element erworben. Um seine Leistungsfähigkeit zu erhalten, muss

dieses System gewartet werden.

Reinigen Sie das komplette Schwerlast-Linearsystem unter

normalen Betriebsbedingungen alle 3 Monate bzw. nach jeweils

500 km Verfahrweg mit einem weichen, ölgetränkten Lappen und

entfernen damit alle Staubverkrustungen und Fettrückstände.

Unterziehen Sie danach das komplette Schwerlast-Linearsystem

einer genauen optischen Prüfung, um einen eventuellen außer-

gewöhnlichen Verschleiß rechtzeitig zu erkennen.

7.1 Profilschienenführung

Schmieren Sie die Laufwagen der Profilschienenführung über

die dafür vorgesehenen Schmierstellen im Laufschlitten

(Schmiernippel) ab. Dabei sind immer zwei Führungswagen mit

einer Schmierstelle verbunden. Pressen Sie solange Fett in die

Schmiernippel, bis dieses an den Dichtlippen der Führungswagen

austritt. Verfahren Sie danach das Schwerlast-Linearsystem

einmal über die ganze Hublänge und zurück und wischen das

auf den Profilschienen hängengebliebene Fett mit einem weiche

Öllappen ab.

Verwenden Sie ein lithium-verseiftes Mehrzweckschmierfett, DIN-

Kennzeichnung KP2-K, DIN-Nr. 51502 oder 51825.

Schmierstoffe mit Festschmierstoffzusätzen, z. B.

MoS2, Graphit und PTFE sind nicht geeignet.

7. Maintenance

In the heavy-duty linear system you have acquired a high-

performance piece of equipment, which must be maintained if it is

to retain its high level of performance.

Heavy-duty linear systems run under normal operating conditions

should be cleaned thoroughly every 3 months or after each 500

km of movement using a soft, oil-soaked cloth, making sure that

all encrusted dust and grease residues are removed.

Next, inspect the entire heavy-duty linear system thoroughly, in

order to detect any extraordinary wear as early as possible.

7.1 Profiled Rail Guide

Lubricate the bogies of the profiled rail guide using the lubrication

points provided for that purpose in the slide (lubricating nipples).

Here, two guide bogies are always connected to one lubrication

point. Press the grease into the lubricating nipple until the latter

spills over the sealing lips of the guide bogies. Finally run the

heavy-duty linear system once over the entire stroke length and

back and wipe any excess grease from the profiled rails using a

soft oilcloth.

Use a lithium-based multipurpose grease, DIN code KP2-K, DIN

No. 51502 or 51825.

Greases with solid lubricant additives, e.g. MoS2,

graphite and PTFE are not suitable.

7.2 SLF-P mit Pneumatikantrieb

Der Pneumatikzylinder des Schwerlast-Linearsystem mit Pneu-

matikantrieb ist ab Werk mit einer Lebensdauer-Fettfüllung

versehen.

Bei einmaliger Verwendung von geölter Druckluft ist

diese immer zu verwenden, da die Gefahr besteht,

dass die Lebensdauer-Fettschmierung durch die

Ölbeigabe verdünnt bzw. ausgewaschen würde und

der Pneumatikzylinder trocken läuft.

7.3 SLF-P mit Zahnriemenantrieb

Die Lager der Zahnscheiben des Schwerlast-Linearsystems

mit Zahnriemenantrieb sind ab Werk mit einer Lebensdauer-

Fettschmierung versehen.

Die richtige Vorspannung der Zahnriemen wird im Werk über

Frequenzmessung eingestellt. Dies ist vor Ort mangels der

entsprechenden Messeinrichtung meist nicht möglich. Eine

Überprüfung der Vorspannung erfolgt daher nur näherungsweise.

7.2 SLF-P with Pneumatic Drive

The pneumatic cylinder of the heavy-duty linear system with

pneumatic drive is provided with life-time lubrication ex works.

It must always be used if lubricated compressed air is

to be used on occasion, as otherwise you run the risk

that the life-time lubrication will be thinned or washed

out by the addition of oil and that the pneumatic

cylinder will run dry.

7.3 SLF-P with Toothed-Belt Drive

The mountings of the toothed washers of the heavy-duty linear

system with toothed-belt drive are provided with life-time lubrication

ex works.

The correct pre-tensioning of the toothed belts is set in the factory

using frequency measurement. This is not possible on site due to

the lack of appropriate measuring equipment. Consequently, the

pre-tensioning is only checked approximately.
