R PRECAUTIONS
Note: Please recharge this player before using it!
1. Please follow the instructions in this manual when using the player in order to avoid the risk of
explosion,fire,electricshock,etc.
2. Do not repair the player yourself, as you may damage it.
3. Avoid getting the player wet or dropping it in water.
4. Do not use the player in the rain.
5. As a USB device, the MP3 player will be write-protected if you lock the buttons using the【HOLD】
switch.
6. Please back up important data on your personal computer before repair in order to avoid data loss.
When using the player, adjust the volume to a reasonable level in order to avoid damaging your hearing.
1. Do not use the earphones while driving a vehicle or riding a bicycle.
2. Be careful if using the player whilst walking in the street, particularly when crossing the road.
3. Do not turn up the volume too high. Doctors warn against prolonged exposure to high volumes.
Prolonged use of earphones at a high volume may damage your hearing.
4. Always use the accessories provided with this player.
Note about the earphones:
It is recommended that you only use the earphones supplied with your MP3/MP4 player or earphones
with the same characteristics. It is recommended that you have regular breaks from using your MP3
player and/or maintain the volume at a reasonable level, in order to protect your health and hearing.

FEATURES
The player supports MP3 and WMA music file formats. It supports USB 2.0 which is much faster
than USB 1.1. This enables a faster connection with your PC.
Your can make voice recordings with your player and you can also record music or FM radio
broadcasts.
The 1.1" OLED 65k color screen can display photos and movies (after conversion).
The player has repeat and slide show functions.
The player can play videos (MTV format), display videos (JPG or BMP format) and read E-books
(TXT format).
You can connect the player to a PC with the USB cable in order to use it as a mass storage device.
The player has a build-in rechargeable Li-polymer battery.
You can re-install the firmware using the supplied CD.
You can set the play so that it turns off automatically after a preset time.

USINGTHEBATTERY
This product is equipped with a rechargeable Li-polymer battery.
1. To charge the battery, connect the player to a PC with the USB cable supplied. You can also connect
your player to an AC outlet with 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz using the supplied AC/USB adaptor.
2. When the battery is being charged, the icon will change from an empty battery
to a full
one
. The charging time is approximately 2 hours.
3. To stop recharging the battery, disconnect the USB cable or AC/USB adapter.
Notes:
zBefore using the player for the first time, please recharge it.
zIn order for your player to charge, your computer must be turned on.
zThe player can only charge the Li-polymer battery if the output voltage and current comply with USB
standards: 5V and less than 500mA current. If the charging voltage and current are out of this range,
this will damage the battery and the player. The warranty does not cover any damage caused by
failure to respect this remark.
zDo not overcharge the player, as this may shorten the battery life.
zCAUTION: Do not disassemble, crush, short-circuit or incinerate your battery as it may cause fire,
injury, burns, or other hazards.
BASIC OPERATIONS
Turn on the player and play music
1. Connect the earphones to the earphones jack.
2. Switch the【HOLD】knob to the unlock position.
3. Press and hold down the button to turn on the player and enter the main menu (the default is
“MUSIC” mode).
4. Press the button to enter music menu.
5. To return to the main menu, press and hold the M button.

6. To Play/Pause the music, press the button.
7. To select the next or previous file, press the【+/-】buttons.
8. To turn off the player, press and hold down the button.
Note: If you cannot switch on the player or it does not work normally once you have switched it on, please
reset it by pressing the RESET button with a sharp point.
Volume Adjustment
When playing music or a video (MTV) file or in Voice or FM radio mode, press the R/V button to switch to
volume mode and then press the【+/-】buttons to adjust the volume.
MenuNavigation
1. Press and hold the M button to enter the main menu. Press it briefly to return to the previous
submenu.
2. Press the【+/-】buttons to select your desired mode: “MUSIC”, “FILE”, “VOICE”, “PHOTO”, “FM”,
“SETUP”, “VIDEO” or “EBOOK”).
“MUSIC”“”USIC”
In the main menu, press the【+/-】buttons to select “MUSIC” mode and enter by pressing the
button. Use the【+/-】buttons to select the files and press the button to start playback.
Music Playback Functions
In music playback mode, press the M button to enter a sub-menu and use the【+/-】buttons to select
one of the following functions: “File”, “Classified”, “Play List”, “Repeat”, “Equalizer”, “3D”, “Slide Show”,
“A-B” or “Play Rate”. Press the button to enter the selected mode.
“Files”
1. Press the【+/-】buttons to select a music file and press the button to start playback.

2. You can delete the music file or add it to the “My List” (stored in the “Play List”) by pressing the R/V
button. Use the
【+/-】buttons to select “Add to list" or “Delete” and press the button to confirm.
3. Press the Mbutton to return to the previous sub-menu.
“Classified”
This option allows you to classify your music files according to the 4 following criteria:
“Genre”, ”Artist”, ”Album” or “Title”. If you would like to sort your files, use the【+/-】buttons to select
“Yes”. If not, select “No” to cancel this function. Then press the button to confirm.
Notes:
1. The player may take a long time to build the classified list. During the process, you can press the M
button to cancel the function.
2. After the classifying process is complete, a menu appears that allows you to choose the criteria
according to which you would like to classify your files.
3. You can also use the “Music Classification” system to download, create or delete music classification
databases on your PC. The program ClassifyMusic_V1.5 will download the music files into the
Root\MUSIC folder automatically. For more details, refer to the next section: ”Installation and
Operation”.
Installation and operation of the “Music Classification” system
1. Connect the player to a PC with one of the following operating systems: Windows 2000, XP or Vista.
2. Insert the instruction and installation CD into the PC and enter the folder named
“ClassifyMusic_V1.5”.
3. Double-click the application “Music Classify”to display the following menu:

4. To download the music files to the player:
4.1) Click “Select Music” or “Select Music Directory” to input music files with “.mp3” or “.wma” formats,
one by one or the whole directory.
4.2) Click the command “Download Music” to download the selected music to the player and
create/refresh the music classification database.

5. Click “Delete Music” to delete the music files on the player and create /refresh the music classification
database.
NOTE:
1. The program “ClassifyMusic_V1.5” can only classify the music files within the player;
2. You will find more information on the “Classify Music” program on the instruction and installation CD
(“ClassifyMusic_V1.5”→“Music_Classification” Word file).
“Play List”
In the “Play List” menu, you will find your selection of music files (My List) in *pla, *m3u and *wpl format.
Open one of the lists and select a music file. Then you can press the button to play it. Press the R/V
button to delete the file from the play list or delete it permanently from the player. Use the
【+/-】buttons
to select “Del list" or “Delete” and press the button to confirm.
NOTE:
1. Please build the play list from the music files present on the device (excluding *pla play list);
2. You must save the play list files in *.m3u or *.wpl format, in the [Root\PLAYLIST] folder;
3. The music will pause for several seconds when a Play List is being opened.
“Repeat”
The player allows you to select different playback modes: “Repeat One”, “Repeat All”, “Random All”,
“Folder Normal”, “Folder Repeat”, “Folder Random” or “No Repeat”).
