POSSIBLE SITUATIONS AND SOLUTIONS
**CAUTION: Before starting installation, any open transactions must be closed.**
Print out a test receipt.
Document existing connections before starting modifications.
Disconnect the out-bound serial cable from the ECR. Hint - it’s the cable that connects the ECR to the receipt
printer.
Connect into the COM2 of the TxPort2a DB9 female serial connector to the POS with the appropriate serial
converter.
Disconnect the in-bound serial cable from the printer. Hint - it’s the cable that connects the ECR to the receipt
printer.
Connect into the COM4 of the TxPort2a DB9 female serial connector to the Printer with the appropriate serial
converter.
Perform a print test. For the connection to be considered successful, the ECR must print a receipt identical
to the previous ones including a FISCAL CONTROL number at the bottom of the receipt.
If you face unexpected situations with a TxPort2, in most cases you will be able to solve
them by simply turning the TxPort2and the printer off and on However, for more specific
situations, please follow the solutions listed below.

System Connection Steps:
El TxPort2does not turn On
The printer does not work at all,
or, the printer does not print
FISCAL CONTROL numbers
SITUATION POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
Check that the printer is turned on.
Check that the TxPort2is powered on and the green LED remains
glowing solidly.
Check that the TxPort2is connected to the network.
Check that the RJ45 cables and the connectors for the printer,
TxPort2and POS are connected and tight-fitting. The cable for the
connector at the COM2 port of the TxPort2must be linked to the POS
connector, and the cable for the connector at the COM4 del TxPort2
of the TxPort2must be linked to the printer connector.
Turn the printer off, wait approximately 10 seconds, and turn
it on again.
Turn the TxPort2off, wait approximately 10 seconds, and turn
it on again.
Turn the POS off, wait approximately 10 seconds, and turn
it on again.
Take note of the existing connections and remove the TxPort2,
connecting the printer directly to the POS, and retry printing.
If printing does not work when connecting the printer directly
to the POS, you have a situation with your POS that is not related
to the TxPort2. If printing works when connecting the printer directly
to the POS, connect TxPort2in bypass mode as follows: POS
connection to the COM4 of the TxPort2and printer connection to the
COM2 of the TxPort2. If this does not solve the situation, you will
need to report the situation to Customer Service.

Check that the power supply is connected to the TxPort2at the port
identified as 12V.
Check that all sections of the power supply are tight-fitting and that it
is plugged to an outlet with electric power.
Press the power button for button for approximately 5 seconds. If the
TxPort2does not turn on (solid green LED), you will need to report
the situation to Customer Service.
