1. Important Safety
Instructions
Read these instructions carefully and
retain them for future use. If this
appliance is passed to a third party, then
these instructions must be included.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of re, electric shock, and/or injury to
persons including the following:

In order to avoid
overheating, do

appliance.

Do not touch any metal part.
Contact may cause burn.

»To reduce the risk of re, keep textiles,
curtains, or any other ammable material
a minimum distance of 1 m from the air
outlet.
»Do not operate the appliance without the
castor bases attached. Operate the appliance
in upright position only (castors on bottom,
controls on top). Any other position could
create a hazardous situation.
»Ensure that the surface beneath the
appliance is clean and free of any
obstructions. Avoid placing this appliance
on high-pile carpeting or any other surface
that impedes the ow of air underneath the
appliance.

Some parts of this appliance can become very
hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to
be given where children and vulnerable persons
are present.
»This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
»Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
»Children of less than 3 years should be kept
away unless continuously supervised.
»The appliance must not be located immediately
below a socket outlet.
»Do not use the appliance in the immediate
surroundings of a bath, a shower or a
swimming pool.
»If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent
or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid
a hazard.
»This appliance is lled with a precise quantity
of special oil. Repairs requiring opening of
the oil container are only to be made by the
manufacturer or his service agent who should
be contacted if there is an oil leak.
»When scrapping the heater, follow the
regulations concerning the disposal of oil.
»Always disconnect the appliance from the
socket outlet when not in use, in the event of
malfunctions or before cleaning.
»Do not leave the appliance unattended when
in use.
