Quick Start Guide
Function:
Keeps the SoloProtect ID baery fully charged.
How to use:
Insert the SoloProtect ID charger lead into the indicated Micro USB
socket. The baery symbol and LED will start to flash. When fully
charged the baery symbol will show full and the LED will display a
constant green light.
• Minimum two hours charging required to reach full charge.
• Placing on charge will disable funcons on the unit.

Function:
Turns the SoloProtect ID On or Off.
How to use:
Press highlighted buons simultaneously unl you feel a vibraon.
On – You will feel one vibraon and the SoloProtect ID will then go
through a symbol, light, vibrate and tone sequence.
Off – You will feel two vibraons.
• The device is switched on when removed from charge.
• When turned on, SoloProtect ID will aempt to obtain a
Geolocaon fix as part of the boot-up sequence. See secon 8 for
more informaon.
2Turning On/Off

Function:
Check network coverage and baery strength before working alone.
How to use:
Press the highlighted buon for two seconds to iniate a ‘Device Check’.
The LED lights and display symbols will flash red before seling on green,
amber or red to indicate network coverage and baery strength (can take
up to 20 seconds).
Once complete, the device will obtain a Geolocaon fix denoted by a
symbol on the display, and blue, flashing LEDs. See secon 8 for more
informaon.
• Do not rely on SoloProtect ID if either baery or signal displays red.

4Amber Alert

Function:
Use ‘Amber Alert’ to pre-record details of your locaon and/or to iniate
an amber mer*.
How to use:
Press the highlighted buon unl you feel three short vibraons. When
the LED lights and display starts to flash, you should commence
recording. The display will go solid amber informing you only ten
seconds recording me is remaining before the call is ended.
* Amber mer is not a standard set up opon.
5Red Alert

Function:
Use ‘Red Alert’ any me you feel your personal safety is being
compromised*.
How to use:
Press the highlighted buon for two seconds unl you feel three short
vibraons and the alert symbol is shown. This will mean the ‘Red Alert’
has been acvated and the call is connected. To cancel a ‘Red Alert’,
advise the Alarm Receiving Centre you are safe before pressing the
buon again unl you feel two longer vibraons.
* Check with your employer regarding the exact set up of ‘Red Alert’.
6Incapacitation Alarm

Function:
Incapacitaon detecon is used to raise an alert if you have fallen or
collapsed* - SoloProtect ID’s two-way audio allows an operator to talk
directly to a user.
How to use:
SoloProtect ID will detect an Incapacitaon scenario and go through a
pre-alert phase. Moving the SoloProtect ID cancels this. If the pre-alert
isn’t cancelled then an Incapacitaon ‘Red Alert’ is raised.
• Don’t leave unit on and unaended as this may raise a false acvaon.
*Check with your employer whether this feature is enabled on your
device.
7Rip Alarm
Quick Start Guide
Function:
Raises an automac ‘Red Alert’ if the SoloProtect ID is forcibly removed
from a user when worn on a lanyard.
How to use:
If SoloProtect ID is forcefully pulled from the user the device will go into
‘Red Alert’.
• Alternavely if you do not want to be discreet in raising a ‘Red Alert’,
you can manually pull the pin out of the device.
8Geolocation (via GNSS)
Quick Start Guide
Function:
In conjuncon with ‘Device Check’, use to update your locaon.
How to use:
Aer compleng a 'Device Check' the LED will flash blue and show a
Geolocaon display symbol, before going solid blue with a short vibraon
when a fix is found – can take up to two minutes.
• It is difficult for any device to perform a locaon fix when indoors.

Function:
Each buon can be defined to make an audio call or to trigger an SMS
text message to a pre-defined contact*.
How to use:
Press one of the highlighted buons, specific to each contact to call or
trigger an SMS text*. The blue LED will flash during a call. Press the
buon again to cancel the call.
• ‘Mul-Funcon Buons’ are not for use in an alarm situaon.
* Check with your employer regarding the exact set up.
