LowBackSling is easy for the caregiver to apply and it gives the patient a feeling of security. It features leg sections,

which means that the patient does not sit on the sling. Instead, the sling provides support from the tailbone up under the

arms and under the legs. LowbackSling is designed for use when the patient has upperbody control, etc.

SystemRoMedic includes a wide range of functional, comfortable, high-quality slings that can be adapted for different

types of lifting and for patients with different needs. The slings are available in several different materials and in sizes from

XXS to XXL. All models are safe and very easy to use and are rated for lifting patients weighing up to 300 kg. The choice

of model and material depends on the patient’s needs and the transfer situation.

Visual and mechanical inspection

Check the condition and function of the sling regularly. Always inspect the product after laundering. Check to ensure that

seams and material are free from damage. Check to ensure that fabric is not worn or faded. Apply load to the device

and check to ensure that clasps, handles, etc. withstand heavy load. If there are signs of wear, the product must be

discarded.

Always read the manuals for all assistive devices used during a transfer.

Keep the manual where it is accessible to users of the product.

Do not leave the patient unattended during a transfer situation.

To prevent discomfort and the risk of the patient sliding out of the sling, trial fit the sling carefully. First, apply the

sling’s back loops to the slingbar, and then apply the leg support loops. Use a slingbar that has been tested.

The lowest allowable safe working load always determines the safe working load of the assembled system. Always

check the safe working loads for the lift and accessories before use.

1.Hold the sling in one hand and place your

other hand in the pocket at the lower edge

of the sling. This is easier if the patient leans

forward or can be helped to lean forward

slightly. Guide the sling down behind the

patient’s back, by sliding it along the back of

the chair/wheelchair or along the bed, ideally,

to the tailbone. The mid-section of the sling

should follow the patient’s spine.

2. Take care to guide the sling down to the

patient’s hips. Do this by pushing the sling

into the space in the back corners of the

wheelchair seat.

3. Pull the leg supports out along the outside

of the thighs. Face the patient and pull the

lower edge of the leg support, so that the

sling slides into place around the hips. Light

pressure against the patient’s knees prevents

him/her from sliding forward in the chair.

4. After checking to ensure that the leg

supports are of equal length on both sides,

place them under the patient’s thighs. Cross

the leg supports and hook them to the

slingbar. Start raising the lift, when the straps

become taut, stop and check that everything

is in order before proceeding with the lift.

1. Fold the leg support and allow it to slide

under itself when you pull it out at the

outside of the thigh.

2. Then, pull the sling up behind the

patient’s back.

Application of the sling when the patient is lying in bed, on a stretcher or on the floor

1. Turn the patient towards you. Place

the sling so that the product label is

facing the underlying surface and the

sling’s mid-section follows the spine. The

upper edge of the sling’s back section

should be at shoulder height and the

lower edge level with the tailbone. Place

the edge of the sling as far in under the

patient as possible. Push the back-

section loop under, so that you can

reach it once you have turned the patient

back onto the sling.

2. To reduce the number of application

steps, you can fold the back section up

against the patient’s back and place the

leg supports between the patient’s knees

when he/she is turned towards you, and

then pull them forward when the patient

is lying on the sling.

3. Turn the patient back onto the sling

and pull out the back section and leg

support.

4. Cross the leg supports and hook them

to the slingbar.

Start raising the lift, when the straps

become taut, stop and check that

everything is in order before proceeding

with the lift.

1. Lay the leg supports between the

patient’s knees.

2. Turn the patient towards you and fold

the sling in under the patient so that the

fabric slides towards you when you pull

it out after you have turned back the

patient.

Alternative application of the sling’s leg supports

1. In the standard application the leg supports are crossed before they are hooked to the slingbar.

2. For more access to the perinea area of the patient, you can even choose not to cross the leg supports. Note, however,

that this entails a risk that the patient might slide out of the sling.

Lifetime information & Periodic inspection

The product has an expected lifetime depending on how the product is used according to the manual instructions. The service

life of the product varies depending on usage frequency, washing, drying, etc. Please be sure to read the product label and

The periodic inspection of the non-rigid body support unit should be performed at the timestamps stated by the manufacturer,

but at least every 6 months to be sure. More frequently inspections may be required if a non-rigid body support unit is used or

cleaned more frequently than advised by the manufacturer. The periodic inspection instructions for this product are found on

Alternative application of the sling’s leg supports Material:

Polyester: Durable material with low friction. Withstands high laundry temperatures.

Polyester net: An airy material that can be left under the patient, if necessary. Withstands high laundry temperatures.

Plasticized net fabric: Material intended for bathing and showering situations. The material can be disinfected with rubbing

alcohol.

Care of the product:

Read the product label.

Do not use rinsing agent.

To prolong product life, avoid

tumble-drying.

Size information

Slings can often be used for both 2 and 4-point suspension. It is essential to ensure that the width of the slingbar is

appropriate for the sling size and the patient’s status and capacity.

LowBackSling är en lyftsele som är lätt att applicera för medhjälparen samtidigt som den ger brukaren trygghetskänsla.

Den är utformad med bendelar vilket innebär att brukaren inte sitter på selen utan får stöd från svanskotan, upp till arm-

hålan och under benen. LowBackSling är utformad för brukare med bålstabilitet etc.

I SystemRoMedic finns ett brett urval av funktionella, bekväma och högkvalitativa lyftselar anpassade för olika typer av

lyft och för brukare med olika behov. Lyftselarna finns i flera olika material och i storlekar från XXS till XXL. Alla modeller

är både säkra och mycket lätta att använda och de klarar brukare upp till 300 kg. Valet av modell och material styrs av

lyftsituationen och brukarens behov.

Visuell och mekanisk inspektion

Gör regelbundna funktionskontroller av lyftselen. Kontrollera alltid efter tvätt. Kontrollera att sömmar och material är hela

och fria från skador. Kontrollera om materialet är utsatt för nötning eller är blekt. Belasta och kontrollera att spännen och

handtag håller för kraftig belastning. Vid tecken på slitage skall produkten kasseras.

Läs alltid manualerna för alla hjälpmedel som används vid en förflyttning.

Förvara manualen tillgänglig för användare av produkten.

Lämna inte brukaren under förflyttningsmomentet.

Undvik urglidningsrisk eller obehag genom att vara noggrann vid utprovning av lyftselen. Haka först på lyftselens

ryggöglor på lyftbygeln, haka därefter på benstödens öglor. Används utprovad lyftbygel.

Det är alltid den lägsta tillåtna maxlasten på respektive produkt i den sammansatta lyftenheten som styr. Kontrollera

alltid tillåten maxlast på lyft och lyfttillbehör före användning och kontakta din återförsäljare vid frågor.

Placering av lyftsele när brukaren sitter i rullstol/stol eller säng

1.Håll lyftselen med ena handen och placera

den andra handen i fickan som finns vid

nedre kanten på selen. Finns det möjlighet att

brukaren lutar sig/lutas fram lite så underlättar

detta. För ned lyftselen bakom brukarens rygg

genom att glida efter ryggstödet på stolen/

rullstolen eller sängen, ned till svanskotan på

brukaren är optimalt. Lyftselens mitt skall följa

ryggraden på brukaren.

2. Var nogrann med att föra ner lyftselen vid

stussen på brukaren, gör detta genom att

föra ner selen i utrymmet vid bakre hörnen på

rullstolens sits.

3. Drag fram benstöden vid lårens utsida. Sitt

gärna framför och drag i den nedre kanten på

benstödet så glider lyftselen på plats runt

stussen. Ett lätt mothåll på brukarens knä

motverkar framåtglidning i stolen.

4. När du kontrollerat att benstöden är lika

långa på båda sidorna kan du placera dem

under brukarens lår. Vanligtvis korsas ben-

stöden innan de krokas fast på lyftbygeln.

Börja höja lyftbygeln och stanna för att

kontrollera att allt är i ordning innan du höjer så

brukaren lyfter från underlaget.

Borttagning av lyftselen när brukaren sitter

1. Vik benstödet och låt den glida under sig själv

när du drar ut den på utsidan av låret.

2. Dra sedan upp lyftselen bakom brukarens

rygg.

Placering av lyftsele när brukaren ligger på säng/brits eller golv

1.Vänd brukaren mot dig. Placera lyftselen så

att märklappen är mot underlaget och mittlinjen

följer ryggraden. Den övre kanten av ryggdelen

på lyftselen skall vara i axelhöjd och den nedre

kanten i höjd med svanskotan. Placera lyftselens

kant så långt in under brukaren som möjligt. Tryck

under öglan till ryggdelen så att du når den när du

vänt tillbaka brukaren på lyftselen.

2. För att minska antal moment kan du vika

upp ryggdelen mot brukarens rygg och placera

benstöden mellan brukarens knän när han/hon

är vänd mot dig för att sedan dra fram dem när

brukaren ligger på lyftselen.

3. Vänd tillbaka brukaren på lyftselen och dra fram

ryggdelen och benstödet.

4. Vanligtvis korsas benstöden innan de krokas

fast på lyftbygeln.

Börja höja lyftbygeln och stanna för att kontrollera

att allt är i ordning innan du höjer så brukaren lyfter

från underlaget.

Borttagning av lyftselen när brukaren ligger

1. Lägg ner benstöden mellan knäna på brukaren.

2. Vänd brukaren mot dig och vik in selen under

brukaren så att tyget glider mot sig självt när du

drar ut den efter att du vänt tillbaka brukaren.
