1 Introduction

TI's TPS7B8401EVM helps design engineers evaluate the operation and performance of the TPS7B8401

family of linear regulators for possible use in their own circuit application. This particular EVM

configuration contains a single wide-input voltage, small size, linear regulator for a wide range of

applications. The regulator is capable of delivering up to 150 mA to the load with low VIN to VOUT dropout

voltage. For stability, use a minimum derated capacitance of 1-µF (or larger) output capacitor.

1.1 Before You Begin

The following warnings and cautions are noted for the safety of anyone using or working close to the

TPS7B8401EVM. Observe all safety precautions.
