Installation and Operation Manual
IMPORTANT!
Before starting work the installer should carefully read this Installation &
Operation Manual, and make sure all instructions contained there in are
understood and observed.
The Solar controller should be mounted, operated and maintained by
specially trained personnel only. Personnel in the course of training are only
allowed to handle the product under the supervision of an experienced fitter.
Subject to observation of the above terms, the manufacture shall assume the
liability for the equipment as provided by legal stipulations.
All instructions in this Installation & Operation manual should be observed
when working with the controller. Any other application shall not comply with
the regulations. The manufacturer shall not be liable in case of incompetent
use of the control. Any modifications and amendments are not allowed for
safety reasons. The Solar controller maintenance may be performed by
service shops approved by the manufacturer only.
The functionality of the controller depends on the model and equipment. This
installation leaflet is part of the product and has to be obtained.
APPLICATION
The Solar controller is developed for Solar heating system. The temperature
solar collector and tank.
The controller is normally used in conjunction with a hydraulic control unit
which includes a circulation pump, Safety valve.
The controllers have been designed for use in dry environments, e.g. in
residential rooms, office spaces and industrial facilities.
Verify that the installation complies with existing regulations before operation
to ensure proper use of the installation.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before starting work disconnect power supply!
All installation and wiring work related to the controller must be carried out
only when de-energized. The appliance should be connected and
commissioned by qualified personnel only. Make sure to adhere to valid
safety regulations.
The controllers are neither splash- nor drip-proof. Therefore, they must be
mounted at a dry place.
Do not interchange the connections of the sensors and the 230V connections
under any circumstances! Interchanging these connections may result in life
endangering electrical hazards or the destruction of the appliance and the
connected sensors and other appliances.

Parameter menu
First of all press (+) and (-) in the same time during 2 seconds to
enter in the parameter menu.
The first parameter of the list should be now displayed 1
Press the navigation key to choose a parameter (>>), once the
parameter chosen change the value with (+) or (-).
Parameter N°1: Dt value
1.8 Difference between collector temperature (T1) and Tank
temperature (T2) to start the solar loading of the tank
(P1). (Default value 8°C, adjustable xx)
Parameter N°2: Maximum temperature in tank
2.90 Maximum desired water temperature in the Tank (T2).
(Default value 90°C, adjustable xx)
Main Pump (P1) function:
The pump is running:
- When the collector temperature (T1) is above the Tank
temperature (T2) + dt, adjustable on the parameter menu
(N°1=>default value 8°C)
- D
(Antilock braking function)
The pump is turned off:
- When the collector temperature (T1) decrease under the Tank
temperature (T2) + dt/2.

Parameter N°3: Setting level for extra function
3.50 Setting level to start the extra function (P2).
(Default value 50°C, adjustable xx)
Available only if (T3) sensor is connected.
Parameter N°4: Anti freeze function
This option will keep the solar panel temperature T1 above the
Freeze setting level (see below) by activating the pump P1.
This option could be used to reduce snow accumulation on the
panel and increases the efficiency during the day or to avoid solar
liquid damages.
Careful: it is preferable not to use this function in the too cold
regions in order not to use too much the energy stored in the tank
4.OF The antifreeze function is deactivated (default value)
4.1Press the (+) or (-) key to choose the level to start the
anti freeze function.
(Adjustable -20°C to + 7°C)
Parameter N°5: Overheat protections
Panel overheat protection
This option is used to protect the collector liquid and to avoid vapour
in the solar circuit.
It consists to activate the pump if temperature on the collector T1
exceeds the value of parameter N°6 (default value 140°C), even if
the max temperature is reach.
(In all the case the pump will be stopped when the water
temperature in the tank will reach the maximum admissible
temperature 95°C).
System overheat protection
If the temperature was been increased up to 95°C and the collector
temperature T1 is 5°C below. The pump will be activated to cool the
tank until the adjusted value (parameter N°2).
You can deactivate this function on the parameters menu (N°5 =
default value off)
IMPORTANT:
To be sure that all elements of the installation are compatible before
desabeled this function.

5.OF The overheat protection is deactivated (default value)
5.On The overheat protection is activated.
Parameter N°6: Setting level for overheat protection
6.14 Press the (+) or (-) key to choose the level to start the
overheat protection function. (Default value 140°C 14)

Parameter N°7: Collector type
Use this parameter if your installation use vacuum tubes collector.
- This function could be used if the collector sensor is not directly
mounted on the collector. This function works in the following way.
Each 30 minutes the pump will be activated 30 seconds to measure
the correct value on the collector to avoid short charge cycle.

Parameter N°8: Type of the extra function
8.OF The extra function is used to control an additional heat.

Additional heat (P2):
To use this option you must connect the extra sensor T3.
This output is generally used to control an additional heat on your

- When the water temperature (T3) inside the tank decrease under
the setting level, adjustable on the parameter menu (N°3 =>default
value 50°C)
Switch off:
- When the water temperature (T3) is 5°C above the setting level.
