This guide explains the functions and basic operations of TotalFlow Print Server.

This guide is for TotalFlow Print Server R-60 and TotalFlow Print Server R-60A. Descriptions and

illustrations in this manual are the same for these models. However when necessary some

descriptions and illustrations are different.

Help

There are two ways of displaying help the Information Center help and the balloon help. The

Information Center help explains the functions and basic operations of TotalFlow Print Server. The

balloon help explains each of the settings their values and how to configure them.

How to se the Information Center Help

Click the icon on the top right of the remote or local console and then select [[HHeellpp]]. The top page

of the Information Center help appears.

How to se the Balloon Help

Each pod in the console has its own icon. Click the icon to display a short description of the pod. In

this guide this type of help is called “balloon help”.

Click [[FFiinndd mmoorree]] within the balloon help to display the related topic in the Information Center.

How to Read the Manuals

This manual uses the following symbols:

This symbol indicates points that you need to pay attention to when using the print

server. Be sure to read these explanations.

This symbol indicates supplementary explanations of the print server's functions

and instructions on resolving user errors.

[[BBoolldd]] BBoolldd ttyyppee inside square brackets indicates the names of keys menus menu

items field labels settings and buttons.

BBoolldd BBoolldd ttyyppee indicates the names of commands switches indicators and levers.

Italic Italic type

indicates variables that you must replace with your own

information.

Monospace Monospace type indicates computer input and output and file names.

{ } In messages and other elements of the console curly brackets indicate variables

that a program replaces with its own information.

... An ellipsis indicates that a series can continue.

SSeelleecctt The words sseelleecctt and sseelleeccttiinngg refer to the act of touching the touch-sensitive

screen using the mouse or using the keyboard as though you were pressing a

switch choosing an option or entering data.
