There is a seal covering one of the screws in the
device case. If the device needs repair, keep the seal
unbroken until a Uniden technician can make the repair.
The user should not break the seal covering the screw.
If the seal is broken, the userwill be responsible for any
damage.
• Disconnect the device from the power supply when cleaning it.
• Position the device away from strong electrical currents.
Anti-Static Protection
Dust may lead to electrostatic buildup. Keep the device and its
environment clean. (A regular dusting is necessary.)
Lightning Protection
In a thunderstorm, the electrical discharge from lightning may damage
the device. Make sure the device, the installation location, and power
outlet on the wall are well-grounded.
MOUNTING REQUIREMENTS
Read and follow these requirements:
• The mounting location is stable and sturdy.
• Place the device where required in a clean, dry, and well-ventilated
environment. Keep at least 4 in.(10cm.) free on all sides for cooling.
• Do not place any heavy or large object on the device.
• Paste the four foot pad stickers on the corresponding four corners of
the underside of the device
PHYSICAL CONNECTION
RJ45 Port Connections
The RJ45 port uses an Ethernet cable to connect the switch to remote
devices. Ports 1 - 4/8 support IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at PoE
supply. The PD can be wireless AP, IP phone or IP camera, etc.
