1. GENERAL
1.1 Warnings
This product has been manufactured in compliance with rigorous technical safety regulations, in accordance
with CE standards. The CE declaration can be downloaded from the website (contact details on last page).
Before installing and using this product, carefully read these instructions which contain important information
for your safety and that of users during the installation, commissioning and maintenance of this product. Once
installation is complete, leave this notice available for future reference. The installation of this product and all
other interventions (use, connections, commissioning, maintenance) must be carried out by a professional ap-
plying state of the art, standards and safety regulations in force. It must comply with the requirements relating
to EMC and LVD.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any possible bodily injury and/or material damage caused when
the safety instructions have not been respected or following a modication of the product.
BATE R010 heaters are intended to be inserted into rigid circular ducts in galvanized steel or aluminum air
ducts for heating applications in tertiary buildings.
• Installation inside the premises
• Speed in the heater between 1.5 m/s and 10 m/s
• Environmental temperature between -20°C / +50°C
• Maximum relative humidity 95% without condensation
• Non-potentially explosive atmosphere
• Low salinity atmosphere, without corrosive chemicals
1.2 Assembly and safety instructions
Equip yourself with appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) before any intervention.
If work needs to be carried out on the appliance, turn o the power supply at the main circuit breaker and
ensure that no one can accidentally turn it back on.
Check the earth connection.
Do not touch the electronic card when the device is powered on. The control circuit is not isolated from the
power supply circuit of the device.
• For rigid circular networks in galvanized steel or A1 (M0) aluminum.
• Vertical installation: the ow must be upward.
• Horizontal installation: position the heater so that the connection box is not underneath.
• Fixing the cover with screws.
• Access to the cover necessary for the manual reset. The heater must be capable of being disassem-
bled for replacement and maintenance.
• Possibility of externally insulating the heater with A1 (M0) insulation. Do not insulate the cover.
• Respect the direction of the air indicated by the arrow.
• Respect a distance of twice the diameter between the heater and the other components of the
network, in particular the lters.
• Maintain a distance of 100 mm between the heater and surrounding materials.
• The network must not be completely blocked.

4. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
The device is originally equipped with two safety thermostats to prevent overheating: a thermostat with au-
tomatic reset (50°C) and a thermostat with manual reset (100°C) placed on the cover. They must control
a contactor (not supplied) which cuts o the general power supply to the heater in the event of a
trip.
The heater is delivered with a shunt onto the M/A terminal block which allows the heater to operate.
The shunt can be replaced by an external contact which will allow remote operation authorization by clo-
sing the circuit.
To ensure the operation of the electric coil is controlled by the fan and manage the safety chain with the
thermostats, provide:
• A regulation delivering a 0-10 volt signal to control the heater and ensuring the post-ventilation func-
tion when ventilation stops.
• A power contactor to manage the power supply to the electric heater. Contactor equipped with a
normally closed relay to send fault information to external regulation.
• A protection circuit breaker for each power supply.
Electrical cable sections:
• Control terminal block: provide cables with a section ≤ 4 mm².
• Power terminal block: the terminal block capacities are indicated in the table below:
10 mm² 16 mm²

400V three-phase ≤ 15kW ˃ 15kW

5. COMMISSIONING - MAINTENANCE - ALARMS
5.1 Safety instructions
Before starting up, the heater must be connected to the air ducts and the cover must be closed.
The fan must be operational.
Turn o the power before opening the case.
See § "1.2 Assembly and safety instructions", page 3.
5.2 Commissioning
Ensure the presence of a 0-10V control signal to control the heater and post-ventilation when the heater
is turned o.
Interpretation of diode colors:
Controlled by external 0-10V signal Default
LED 1 green Startup :
ashes 1 time every 5 seconds for 30
seconds.
Normal operation: ashing 1 time per
second.
No air ow:
ashes once every 5 seconds.
Safety air ow sensor fault: permanent
ignition.
LED 2 red On if heating
O if heater not heating
LED 3 yellow On if heater is under voltage
O if heater is o
5.3 Maintenance and alarm
Check the electrical connections every year, dirt absence and the good condition of the heater.
Operation of the safety thermostat with manual reset:
Si le thermostat se déclenche, prendre les mesures
suivantes :
- Cut o the power supply.
- Carefully look for the reason why the thermostat has
tripped.
- Once the error has been corrected, press the “reset”
button on the manual thermostat located on the heater
cover
