Important safety information
Before starting the installation read the safety instructions and manual carefully.
Qualified installers
This lift system is a professional machine and may only be installed and serviced
by qualified installers.
Transportation blocks
For your own safety and in order to prevent the lift from being damaged, leave
the transportation blocks in place until the lift is completely installed.
Strength of the ceiling
Ensure that the ceiling is constructed in such a way that it can bear a load of at
least four times the combined weight of the lift and the projector. This is a
minimum requirement. In addition, make sure that you comply with local
regulations.
First install and test the lift system, than mount the projector and
options
Only mount the projector, the ceiling cover and/or other items to the lift system
after the lift has been installed and tested.
CAUTION!
Use the No-Movement switch when working on the lift system
To prevent serious injury by a moving lift system during installation or
maintenance, always turn off the power and/or use the NO MOVEMENT switch
on the side of the control box.
When programming or operating the lift system the operator should have sight
over the lift system.
Warranty
2 years on production defects.

1 Installation of the lift system
1.1 Mounting, height positioning and horizontal positioning
Use “strut” profiles and treaded rods for the installation of the lift system.
2
1
For easy horizontal positioning use “strut” profiles (1). (not included)
IMPORTANT
The top/home position of the lift systems is fixed (not programmable). For easy
positioning the lift system on a false ceiling level use treaded rods (2) (not included).
See chapter 1.1 for determining the exact height.
PPL 1515 has a LIMITED adjustment of the top/home position by the top/home end
switch. This is easy for the final exact positioning. See chapter 1.4
1.1 Determining the installation height of the lift system
When the lift system is used in combination with a false ceiling the lift system must be
installed just above the false ceiling level. This is easy to do with treated rods.
The example below shows how to determine the correct installation height:
Example:
50 cm space between structural ceiling and false ceiling (A+B)
Calculation:
18 cm – minimum height of the lift including universal projector bracket
+
14 cm – maximum height of the projector (example)
+
3 cm – ventilation space between projector and false ceiling panel
=
35 cm – installation height required (A)

The lift must be lowered at least 15 cm (B)

1.3 Electrical install
1.3.1 Connect the wired remote control (NO other remote controls, yet)
1.3.2 Connect 220-230V power
1.3.3 Testing of the lift system
oSwitch on/off switch on
oFlashing LED, continuous
oSwitch No-movement switch to Normal
oLED will be off
oPush Down > lift should go down
oPush Up > lift should go up
Now you are sure the lift system is working
1.3.4 Setting Show en Service position
Before mounting the projector, approximately set the show and service position. See
chapter 2
Test the system again a few times.
1.4 Optional remote controls
1.4.1 Remote 1 and 2 connectors
oRemote 1 and remote 2 are for use of the wired remote control (included), an
optional IR remote control or a custom wall switch, automation system, etc.
oRemote 1 and 2 can both be used at the same time, it are parallel connectors.
oThey switch 5V to ground.
oUse voltage free contacts in optional remote switches !!
oCable: Shielded 0,35mm² for up to 30m or 0,5mm² for up to 150m
1.4.2 Jack (3,5mm) connectors 3x
o12V IN > control/operate the lift system by external 12V
oAC aux > control the power of a projector by 12V out
o12V out > controlling/operating an electrical projection screen by 12V output
See chapter 3 for details

1.5 Projector install
The lift is supplied with an universal projector mount.
The maximum load of the universal adapter is 18kg/40 lbs. )*
The maximum range of the arms is 500mm/19,6”. )*
Projector mount exploded view
WARNING: be sure the screws used to mount the projector to the arms are not too
long, this can cause damage to the projector. Check the depth of the mounting holes
with a wooden or plastic stick.
Use 3 or 4 arms, depending what is needed for the projector.
There are both short and long arms supplied, use the length needed.
IMPORTANT: mount the projector balanced in the middle of the lift system
)* For most larger projectors there are optional dedicated adapters available

1.6 Mounting cables to the scissors
oIMPORTANT: make loops at the turning points
of the scissors, this will prevent cable damage.
oSeparate power and signal cables to the left
and right side.
oBalance the cables on the left and right side
on weight and flexibility. This to prevent
un-balance of the lift system.

1.7 Mounting the ceiling frame
PPL 1515 standard includes a 60 x 40 cm ceiling frame
PPA 370 and PPA 380 are larger optional ceiling frames for all lift systems, see the
manual enclosed with these kits for installing.
PPL 1515 ceiling frame mounting:

Cut the threaded rods to
size. Bear in mind the
height of the projector.

Note:
Carefully raise the lift using the remote control. Finally, adjust the threaded rods so that
the ceiling frame is flush with the rest of the ceiling. When adjusting the ceiling frame,
the springs should be compressed between 3 mm – 6 mm.

1.8 Home position, fine adjustment
When the lift is completely operational it may be necessary to do some fine adjustments
on the home position. This may be the case when the lift is used in combination with a
false ceiling and an exact closing position is needed.
PPL 1515
By adjusting the screw of the striker plate as shown in the photo (PPL 1515), the home
position of the lift system can be adjusted in a range of 10 cm. Determine the home
position by experimenting and correct it if necessary.
ATTENTION
Do NOT change the position of the lowest limit/position switch, which looks similar. Red-
blocked circle in picture.
PPL 2525
With PPL 2525 fine adjustment is possible by bending the micro switch arm a bit.
PPL 3535
Fine adjustment is not possible
