Observe all required provisions and instructions:
Read this publication carefully.
Adhere to all instructions, information and safety information to prevent injury to persons and damage to
property.
WABCO will only guarantee the safety, reliability and performance of their products and systems if all
the information in this publication is adhered to.
Always abide by the vehicle manufacturer's specications and instructions.
Observe all accident regulations of the respective company as well as regional and national regulations.
Make provisions for a safe work environment:
Only trained and qualied technicians may carry out work on the vehicle.
Use personal protective equipment if required (protective goggles, respiratory protection, ear protectors,
etc.).
Pedal actuations can lead to severe injuries if persons are in the vicinity of the vehicle. Make sure that
pedals cannot be actuated as follows:
Switch the transmission to "neutral" and actuate the hand brake.
Secure the vehicle against rolling by using chocks.
Fasten a visible note to the steering wheel indicating that work is being performed on the vehicle and
that the pedals are not to be actuated.
Do not use the ABS/EBS Code Reader in the vicinity of:
heat sources
magnetic elds
exhaust gases
sources of electricity.
Do not expose the ABS/EBS Code Reader to impact, shock or moisture (water or other liquids).

Introduction Installation
EN 3 Introduction
The ABS/ EBS Code Reader B-DH A101 is an easily operated device for the diagnosis of WABCO
braking systems in trailers, trucks and buses. The sections below describe and explain operation and
functions of the device.
Operation
The ABS/ EBS Code Reader B-DH A101 consists of a compact housing and is easily operated with
one hand. A two-line digital display is located in the top section with buttons for operating the device
in the bottom section.
KEY MEANING EXPLANATION
EXIT Exit Exit menu or function
UP Up To access a menu item further up
DOWN Down To access a menu item further down
OK OK Conrm command or access a submenu
The menu structure is a circumferential menu. When the last menu item is reached by scrolling down
or up, the display jumps back to the rst/last menu item.
At the top side there is a connecting cable with a 9-pin D-Sub connector. This connector is
compatible with all diagnostic cables from WABCO currently on the market and enables an easy
connection to the vehicles.
The ABS/EBS Code Reader does not require its own power supply. The power is supplied by the
vehicle to which it is connected.
