BS850 TV Operational Manual
I. System
BS850 is an 8 inch Waterproof LCD TV specially developed and designed for
mounting on the side of a bath or hot tub.
II. Operation instruction
BS850 has 8 buttons and the functions are as follows:
CLOSE button
Press this button to switch off the system.
TV button
Press this button to turn on the TV. “TV” will be displayed at the top right-hand
corner of the screen.
AV button
Press this button to switch to the AV channel. “AV” will be displayed at the top
right-hand corner of the screen.
MENU/MEM button
When AV system is on, press this button, the display will be switched as follows:
PICTURE AV
When TV system is on, press this button, the display will be switched as follows:
TUNING PICTURE TV
Once you have selected this feature operate within 10 seconds or the menu
will disappear.
CH+ button
Press this button to increase station number.
CH- button
Press this button to decrease station number.
VOL+ button
Press this button to display volume bar and increase volume.
VOL- button
Press this button to display volume bar and decrease volume.

TUNING - Setting
Press button MENU/MEM to enter TUNING setting interface; then press
buttons CH+, CH-, VOL+ or VOL- to set sound system, station number,
automatic station selection, semi-automatic station selection, manual station
selection or skip mode.

Under above interface, press button CH+ to navigate upwards; press button
CH- to navigate downwards; the menu to which the arrow points is selected.
POSITION – Station Number
Press button VOL+ or VOL- to change station number, which ranges from 0 to
99.
SOUND.SYS
Press button VOL+ or VOL- to select sound system, there are 5 sound systems
available, namely AUTO, MN, BG, I and DK. AUTO adopts automatic-selective
sound system by which system MN/BG/I/DK can be automatically selected.
For the UK please select (I).
SKIP
Press button VOL+ or VOL- to turn on or turn off SKIP function.
AUTO - Automatic Station Selection
Press button VOL+ or VOL- to select station automatically.
MANUAL – Semi-Auto Station Selection
Press button VOL+ to search a channel over a higher frequency, stop searching
while a channel is detected; press button VOL+ to search a channel over a
lower frequency, stop searching while a channel is detected.

FREQUENCE - Manual Station Selection
Press button VOL+ to fine tune a higher frequency, or press button VOL- to fine
tune a lower frequency.
PICTURE – Setting
Press button MENU/MEM to enter into PICTURE setting interface; then press
button CH+, CH-, VOL+ or VOL- to set tone, colour, contrast or brightness.

Press VOL+ or VOL- to change color system. System available:
AUTO/PAL/NTSC/N443SECAM
For the UK please select PAL.
SHARP
Press VOL+ or VOL- to change sharpness from 0-63
BRIGHT
Press VOL+ or VOL- to change brightness from 0-63
CONTRAST
Press VOL+ or VOL- to change contrast from 0-63
COLOUR
Press VOL+ or VOL- to change color from 0-63
TINT
Press VOL+ or VOL- to change the tint from 0-63. ( NTSC & N443)

III. Remote Controller Instruction
The functions of CH+, CH-, VOL+, VOL-, MEN are the same as that on the
panel.
TV/AV
Press this button to switch screen display in the following order:
TV AV Close
When the TV system is on, the character “TV” will appear at the top right-hand
corner of the screen and it will disappear in 10 seconds.
When the AV system is on, the character “AV” will appear at the top right-hand
corner of the screen and it will disappear in 10 seconds.

Product Installation (Host box)
Please note that all electrical installation should be carried out by a
qualified electrician.
choosing direction about the installation position will make the host fill in water and damage the host.
The waterproof grade of the host box is IPX5. The box should be positioned a
minimum of 100mm from the ground and not directly beneath any water
connector pipes, where there is a possibility of dripping water.
Connection to mains electricity must be made in a perfectly dry
environment and not underneath the bath/hot tub.
The host box should be
positioned in an upright position
as in Fig A. All connections
should be made at the bottom of
the box.
Any connections made leading from
the host box should not be placed
where there is a possibility of dripping
water.

Control panel installation
The control panel should be installed at the edge of the bath/hot tub for the
user’s convenience.
The location of the control panel should not be located under the joints of water
pipes and the water faucet.
1. Cut out a hole of diameter 55mm in the desired location.
2. Place rubber washer over the hole.
3. Insert the control panel
4. Fasten the panel with the plastic nut.
The panel may be angled and swiveled to the desired location but please take
care not to knock the panel as this may break the plastic connectors.
Speaker installation
The speaker provided is IPX4. This is rated as resistant to light showers. If
positioning in a bathroom it is ideally situated in the ceiling. If this speaker is to
be used in a gazebo structure it should be located where it will receive most
shelter from the elements.
1. Select a mounting location which will allow the speaker to lay flat.
2. Use the supplied template to mark the mounting holes.
3. Drill a starter hole in the center of the mounting hole and cut out using a
hacksaw or similar tool.
4. Connect the speaker wire to the speaker terminals using solder or
speaker spades.
5. Place a bead of RTV sealant (or equivalent) around the back of the
speaker basket.
6. Secure the speaker with fixing screws.
