1 System Overview
1.1 General Descrip ion
The ADSL rou er is a high-speed ADSL2+ E herne rou er ha is specifically designed o connec o
he In erne and o direc ly connec o your local area ne work (LAN) via high-speed 10/100 Mbps
E herne . The ADSL2+ modem is compa ible wi h he la es ADSL s andards, including ADSL2 and
ADSL2+, and suppor s up o 24 Mbps downs ream and 1.5 Mbps ups ream o deliver rue
broadband speed and hroughpu .
To ensure fully compa ibili y, he DSL device was es ed wi h all major DSLAMs, and suppor
s andard 10/100 Mbps Base-T E herne in erface allowing user easily o link o PC or o her
Swi ches/Hubs. The DSL device is an idea solu ion for mul i-users u ilizing build-in channel mode
(PPPoE/A, IPoA, IPoE), IP rou ing, NAT func ionali ies sharing he ADSL link. The DSL device is
also a perfec solu ion for he residen ial users, i suppor s he users wi h bridge mode in hos based
PPPoE Clien .

3 Softw re Configur tion
The DSL device is an ADSL2+ rou er. When you power on he device, he sys em will boo
up and connec o ADSL au oma ically. The sys em provides a PVC for bridge es by
defaul . The defaul configura ions for he sys em are lis ed below.
LAN IP address: 192.168.1.1, Ne Mask: 255.255.255.0
VPI/VCI for ATM: 0/0.
ADSL Line mode: Au o-de ec .
User can change se ings via WEB browser. The following sec ions describe he se up
procedures.
Please se your PC’s E herne por as follow:
IP address: 192.168.1.XXX
Ne Mask: 255.255.255.0
Access he Web Console:
S ar your web browser.
Type he E herne IP address of he modem/rou er on he address bar of he
browser. Defaul IP address is 192.168.1.1.
The Enter Network P ssword dialog box appears. Type he user name and

3.2 WAN Configura ion
There are hree sub-menu for WAN configura ion: [Channel Config], [ATM Se ings], and
[ADSL Se ings].
3.2.1 Ch nnel Configur tion
ADSL modem/rou er comes wi h 8 ATM Permanen Vir ual Channels (PVCs) a he mos .
There are mainly hree opera ions for each of he PVC channels: add, dele e and modify.
And here are several channel modes o be selec ed for each PVC channel. For each of he
channel modes, he se ing is qui e differen accordingly. Please reference o he sec ion –
Ch nnel Mode Configur tion for de ails.
