4.0 Use of the Walking Frame

 Pleaseensurethatyouhavethoroughlyreadandunderstoodalloftheinstruconsandsafety

 consideraonsinthisUserManual.

4.1 Pre-use Checks

Priortoeach useitis essenalthatthewalkingframeisvisually checked fordamage.  Thisincludes the

framework,securityofthebolts,condionofferrulesandwheels.Shoulddamagebeseenorsuspectedthe

walkingframemustNOTbeusedandyoujshouldcontactyouequipmentprovider.

4.2 Height Adjustment

WARNING Itisessenalthatalllegsareadjustedtothesameheight.

RemovetheEclipfromtheextensionlegandextendalllegsevenlytothedesiredheightensuringthatyou

donotexceedthelastpunchedholeoftheextensionleg(seeg.1).

Onceatthedesiredheight,reinstalltheEclipensuringthatithaspassedthroughtheextensionlegandthat

ittsneatlyandsnuglyaroundtheoutsideleg.(seeg.2)

4.3 Using the Walking Frame

 Priortousepleaseensurethatyouhavereadandunderstoodallofthesafetyconsideraonsin

Geng into and out of chairs

WARNING Neverusethewalkingframetopullyouupintoastandingposion.Thewalkingframeis

NOTatransferaid.

1. Posiontheframeinfrontofthechair.

2. Get up by pushing on the arms of the chair and transfer hands to frame when fully standing.

3. Tosit,usingtheframewalkbackunlyoufeelthechairatthebackofyourlegs.

4. Placehandsgentlyonthechairarms,bendslightlyforwardsandsitgently.

Inaddiontopre-usechecksdetailedinsecon2,inordertoensurethatyourwalkingframeremainssafe

andreliable,acareandmaintenancescheduleshouldbeestablished.

• Check frame for bent or damaged tubes and cracks on tube or

joints

and securely hold E clips in place

• Checkferrules(rubberps)forwearordamage

5.2 Cleaning & Disinfecon

Alloftheproductcomponentsaremanufacturedfromqualitymaterials.However,itisveryimportantthat

youonlycleanyourwalkingframeusinganon-abrasivecleanerormilddetergentandasocloth.Avoid

usinglimescaleremover;abrasivecleaners(e.gCIF)andabrasivecleaningpads,allofwhichmayseriously

damage the wlaking frame.

2. Theproductwillbereplacedduringthewarrantyperiodfreeofcharge,providedtheproducthasbeen

used strictly in accordance with the guidelines set out in this user guide.
