Available Drying Cycles

NOTE: Use the automatic cycles for drying

items that can be dried with heat. These cycles

automatically dry loads to the dryness level

selected.

MORE DRY will dry very small loads and some

heavy items, such as blue jeans, but will overdry

lightweight items, such as sheets and shirts.

Overdrying can cause wrinkling, shrinking,

excessive lint conditions, and will use more energy

than necessary.

LESS DRY, which uses the least energy, will dry

large loads and lightweight items, such as sheets

and shirts, but might leave other items, such as

denim and heavy bath towels, more damp.

To increase energy savings and to make sure loads

are dried without overdrying, set your loads on

LESS DRY. If items are damp at the end of a cycle,

the timer knob needs to be set closer to the MORE

DRY setting the next time these loads are dried. If

items are overdry at the end of a cycle, the timer

knob should be set closer to COOL DOWN or

COOL TUMBLE when these loads are dried again.

Remember the settings that work best to get ideal

drying results.

The COOL DOWN and COOL TUMBLE period at

the end of each cycle provides items a chance to

tumble with no heat and cool down to room

temperature. This prevents wrinkles from setting if

items cannot be cared for immediately.

The ENERGY SAVER/DAMP DRY settings,

marked with a dot (•), show which settingswilluse

the least energy and will leave items damp for

easier ironing.

NOTE: The timer knob will not advance as

quickly in the AUTOMATIC cycles as it does in

the TIME DRY cycle. The time it takes for the

timer to advance depends on the type and size of

the load being dried.

Automatic Regular/Delicate Cycle

Use for sturdy items like play or work clothes and

also for delicate items. The type of heat is

determinedbychoosingtheproperFabricSelector

option. There are two settings in the AUTOMATIC

REGULAR/DELICATE cycle — MORE DRY, and

LESS DRY.

Time Dry Cycle

This cycle will operate dryer for up to 75 minutes.

Cottons and heavyweight items dry best between

50 and 75 minutes, and lightweight items dry best

between 20 and 40 minutes.

Automatic Permanent Press/Knits Cycle

Use for permanent press items and synthetics.

The type of heat is determined by selecting the

proper Fabric Selector option. There are two

settings in the AUTOMATIC PERMANENT

PRESS/KNITS cycle — MORE DRY, and LESS

DRY.

To Dry Clothes

IMPORTANT: See the INSTALLATION

INSTRUCTIONS before using dryer.

IMPORTANT: Before using dryer for the first

time, use an all-purpose cleaner or a detergent

and water solution and a damp cloth to remove

shipping dust from inside dryer drum.

AUTOMATIC REGULAR/DELICATE,

TIME DRY, and AUTOMATIC

PERMANENT PRESS/KNITS. These cycles

control the drying time

7. Push timer knob in to start dryer.

NOTE: To stop dryer at any time, openthe door

or turn timer knob to an OFF position. To

restart dryer, close door, reset timer if

necessary, and push in the timer knob.

End of Cycle Signal

Thevolumeofthesignaltone

maybesetonOFF, LOUD or

betweenthetwoselections.If

avolumelevelisselected,the

signal will let you know

when the cycle is done. The

signal will stop when the

door is opened, or when the

timer is advanced to an OFF position.

Optional Equipment

A drying rack, Part No. DR-3, is available as

optional equipment at extra cost. The rack can be

used for no-tumble drying of articles, suchas tennis

shoes, sweaters, stuffed toys or other delicate items.

Ciclos de secado disponibles

NOTE: Utilice el ciclo automático para aquellos

artículos que puedan secarse con calor. Estos

ciclos secan automáticamente los artículos

cargados hasta el nivel de secado seleccionado.

El ajuste más seco (MORE DRY) se emplea para

cargas muy pequeñas y algunas prendas pesadas,

talescomopantalonesdedril(bluejeans),peroseca

excesivamente la ropa liviana, como por ejemplo,

sábanasycamisas.Unsecadoexcesivopuedehacer

que la ropa se arrugue, se encoja y capte

demasiadas pelusas. Además, consumirá más

electricidad de la necesaria.

El ajuste menos seco (LESS DRY), que consume

menos electricidad, se emplea para cargas grandes

y artículos ligeros, tales como sábanas y camisas,

pero dejaría más húmedo otro tipo de ropa como,

por ejemplo, telas de dril y toallas de baño pesadas.

A fin de lograr un mayor ahorro de energía y

asegurar que las prendas no se sequen

excesivamente, seleccione el ajuste menos seco

(LESS DRY). Si las prendas quedan húmedas al

finalde unciclo,cuandoseque nuevamenteesetipo

de cargas coloque el botón del temporizador más

cerca del ajuste más seco (MORE DRY). Si los

artículos se secan excesivamente al final de un

ciclo, cuando sea necesario secar nuevamente ese

tipo de artículos deberá colocar el botón del

temporizador más cerca del ajuste de enfriamiento

(COOL DOWN) o de agitación sin calor (COOL

TUMBLE). Recuerde los ajustes que funcionen

mejor para obtener resultados de secado ideales.

El período de enfriamiento (COOL DOWN) y de

agitación sin calor (COOL TUMBLE) al final de

cada ciclo permite que los artículos sigan dando

vueltas en la secadora sin recibir calor y se enfríen

hasta alcanzar la temperatura ambiente. Esto evita

que se arruguen cuando no pueda retirarse de

inmediato de la secadora.

Los ajustes de ahorro de energía y secado húmedo

(ENERGY SAVER/DAMP DRY), marcados con un

punto (•), muestran los ajustes que consumen una

menor cantidad de electricidad y que dejan la ropa

húmeda para un planchado más fácil.

NOTE: En los ciclos automáticos

(AUTOMATIC) la perilla del temporizador no

avanza tan rápido como en el ciclo de secado

predeterminado (TIME DRY). El tiempo que

tome el regulador para avanzar dependerá del

tipo y deltamaño dela cargaque se esté secando.

Ciclo automático regular/delicado

(AUTOMATIC REGULAR/DELICATE)

Este ciclo se emplea para prendas fuertes, tales

como ropa de juego y de trabajo, así como para

prendas delicadas. La intensidad del calor se

determina escogiendo la opción correspondiente en

el selector de tela (Fabric Selector). El ciclo

automático regular/delicado (AUTOMATIC

REGULAR/DELICATE)ofrecedosopciones:más

seco (MORE DRY) y menos seco (LESS DRY).

Ciclo de secado predeterminado (TIME DRY)

La duración del secado en este ciclo podrá ser de

hasta 75 minutos. Los artículos de algodón y las

prendas pesadas se secan mejor entre 50 y 75

minutos,mientrasquelasprendaslivianaslologran

entre 20 y 40 minutos.

Ciclo de planchado permanente automático/

tejidos de punto (AUTOMATIC PERMANENT

PRESS/KNITS)

Este ciclo se emplea para los artículos de planchado

permanente y artículos sintéticos. La intensidad del

calor se determina seleccionando la opción

correspondiente en el selector de tela (Fabric

Selector). El ciclo de planchado permanente

automático/tejidos de punto (AUTOMATIC

PERMANENT PRESS/KNITS) ofrece dos

opciones: más seco (MORE DRY) y menos seco

(LESS DRY).

Secado de la ropa

IMPORTANTE:VéanselasINSTRUCCIONES

DE INSTALACIÓN antes de utilizar la

secadora.

IMPORTANTE: Antes de utilizar la secadora

por primera vez, emplee unlimpiadorpara todo

uso o una solución de detergente con agua y un

paño húmedo para limpiar el polvo del tambor

de la secadora acumulado durante su

transporte.

separadas.

cuidado de la ropa

que aparece en las

recomendados.

1. Coloque el ajuste del temporizador en el ciclo

deseado: automático regular/delicado

(AUTOMATIC REGULAR/DELICATE), de

secado predeterminado (TIME DRY) o de

planchado permanente automático/tejidos de

punto (AUTOMATIC PERMANENT PRESS/

KNITS). Estos ciclos controlan la duración del

secado.

Los ajustes de ahorro de energía y secado húmedo

(ENERGY SAVER/DAMP DRY), marcados con

un punto (•), muestran los ajustes de la secadora

que consumen menos electricidad y que dejan la

ropa húmeda para un planchado más fácil.

1. Oprima la perilla del temporizador para iniciar

el secado.

NOTE: Para detener la secadora en cualquier

momento, abrala compuerta o gire la perilla del

temporizador hasta la posición “OFF”

(apagado). Para iniciar de nuevo el secado,

cierre la compuerta, reajuste el temporizador si

es necesario y oprima la perilla del

temporizador.

Señal de final de ciclo

El volumen del tono de laseñal

puede desactivarse (OFF),

ajustarse a volumen alto

(HIGH) o colocarse entre

ambas opciones. Al

seleccionar un nivel de

volumen, la señal le avisará

cuando el ciclo haya

terminado. La señal se interrumpirá al abrir la

compuerta o cuando se gire la perilla del

temporizador hacia la posición OFF (desactivado).

DR-3. Esta canastilla puede emplearse para secar

ciertos artículos, como por ejemplo, zapatos de

goma, suéteres, muñecos con relleno y otras

prendas delicadas, impidiendo que éstos se muevan

libremente dentro del tambor.
