Helpful Hints for Your

Frontload Washer

• This washer has pauses that are part of its normal

operation. These pauses occur at the following

times:

1. When the washer is first started (3-5 seconds

pause).

2. During tumble action washing and rinsing

(8 second pauses between tumbles).

3. While the washer is heating in the Boosted

Hot setting (55 seconds heating, 5 seconds

tumble, repeat).

4. Between wash and rinse cycles (15 to 30

seconds).

• When the Boosted Hot setting is selected, the

built-in heating element will boost the water

temperature in the wash drum to 140°F, and the

HEATING light will come on. The cycle will not

advance until the proper temperature is reached.

The time needed to reach 140°F depends on the

load size and the temperature of the incoming

water. It will normally vary between 30 and

60 minutes.

• The Boosted Hot setting can be turned off by

changing the cycle selector knob to OFF and

restarting a cycle with a different water

temperature setting.

• For your safety, this washer has a door locking

mechanism that keeps the door securely shut

during its operation.

If items need to be added or removed after a cycle

has started, turn the Cycle Selector knob to the OFF

position. Wait until the DOOR light goes off

(approximately 45 seconds after cycle has been

stopped), open door, add or remove items, and start the

cycle again.

There is no agitator on this washer. Instead, the

clothing gently tumbles through the water. The wash

action consists of a period of tumbling in one

direction, a brief pause, and then a reverse tumble in

the opposite direction. The pauses are part of the

tumble action and add to the uniqueness of the washer.

They are part of the cycle.

• For the best cleaning results, use only low sudsing

detergents recommended for use with high

efficiency or front loading washers.

• If using detergents made for topload washers,

avoid oversudsing by using only 1/4 cup regular

detergent (1/2 of the recommended amount).

NOTE: The normal level of suds should be below

the center of the door.

•Esta lavadora efectúa pausas que forman parte del

•Para su seguridad, esta lavadora cuenta con un

mecanismo bloqueador que impide que se abra la

compuerta mientras estáfuncionando la lavadora.

Si se necesita añadir o retirar prendas después de iniciado

un ciclo, gire la perilla del selector de ciclos a la

posición OFF (Apagado). Espere hasta que se apague

la luz de DOOR (Puerta) (approximadamente

45 segundos después de pararse el ciclo), abra la

puerta, añada o retire las prendas, e inicie el ciclo de

nuevo.

Esta lavadora no cuenta con agitador. En su lugar, la

ropa se agita dentro del agua. La acción de lavado

consta de un período de agitado en una dirección, una

breve pausa y un período de agitado en sentido

contrario al primero. Las pausas forman parte de la

acción de agitado de este exclusivo tipo de lavadora.

No intente girar la perilla del temporizador para

acortar estas pausas, ya que las mismas forman parte

del ciclo.

•Para obtener resultados óptimos en la limpieza,

emplee únicamente los detergentes de baja espuma

recomendados para uso en lavadoras de alta

eficiencia o lavadoras de carga frontal.

•Si utiliza detergentes elaborados para lavadoras de

carga por la parte superior, emplee un cuarto de

taza de detergente corriente (la mitad de la

cantidad recomendada normalente).

NOTA: El nivel de espuma normal es por debajo del

centro de la compuerta.
