Adapter plug with integrated WiFi switch
Intended Use:
This product is for use in dry and indoor areas (type of protection IP20). It is not suited for
commercial-technical use. Its purpose is switching on and off for portable electrical devices /
appliances. These electrical devices / appliances are equipped with an earthing contact plug
(CEE 7/3 or CEE 7/7) or a Euro plug (CEE 7/16) and got a maximum power consumption of
16A or 2,5A (ohmic load). No part of the product may be opened, modified or adjusted. Uses
other than specified above are not permitted and may lead damage to the product, serious
material damage or personal injury!

Do not operate this product if covered!
This product is not intended for use by children or any other persons you are responsible for.
If the product has external damage, it must not be started and/or immediately taken out of
operation. It must be replaced or returned to the manufacturer for repairs.
Do not run electrical devices / appliances on this product which could cause a fire if left
unattended!
Risk of fatal electric shock: Never use this product immediately after bringing it into a warm
room from a cold one. Under certain circumstances, the generated condensation may cause
a short circuit and destroy the product. Never touch the product with wet or damp hands.
Use only indoor, well ventilated and dry areas! When selecting an installation site, avoid high
air humidity, high temperatures, dampness, solvents, combustible gases, dust and vapors.The
heat, produced by operation of the product, must be dissipated.
The maximum load of this product is 16A at 220-250 VAC / 50 Hz (3680W).

Maintenance:
Do not open the device! In case of dysfunction, contact an electrician or specialist retailer. The
moment this product is opened, all claims for warranty expire. There is no need to open the
housing during installation.
Disposal and cleaning:
CAUTION!
Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean Bachmann products. Clean only
with damp cloth and mild detergent intended for this purpose. Before restart, ensure that the
device is completely dry. WARNING! Disconnect devices from the mains before cleaning.
Liquid must not enter the device otherwise it may cause a short circuit.
Dispose electrical device in line with environmental requirements! Do not place electrical
devices in domestic waste. In accordance with the European Directive 2002/96/EC on
electrical and electronic devices, used electrical devices have to be separated and recycled in
line with environmental requirements. Please contact your local municipality for details on
disposal options.

Installation and setting into operation
Preparation:
Download thefree BACHMANN SMART Adapter WiFi APP from Apple App-Store (iOS V6.0
or later) or from Google Play-Store (Android V4.0 or later) and install it on your mobile
device. You will find the APP easily with key words such as “Bachmann” or “SMART
Adapter”.
Insert the SMART Adapter into an operating wall socket. The socket outlet can now be
switched by pressing the ON/OFF button.
NOTE: The radio range may be disturbed by structural conditions and electrical or
electromagnetic influences. Should such disruptions occur, locate the source and remove
it if possible or provide an appropriate distance.

“Sign Up”.

Setting into operation:
Create an account with
your e-mail address and
choose a password with
at least 6 characters.
There are two options in the main
window –you can configure Master
devices which have a hub function,
and you can design different Scenes,
e.g. living- and bedrooms.
Press for updating the
respective window.
Use the function to set additional
settings, such as changing your
password or to log off.

Press to add a main device or a scene.
To connect with a WiFi SMART Adapter,
proceed as follows:
- Enter the WiFi password
- Hold the ON/OFF-button of the SMART
Adapter down until the indicator light
blinks fast
- Press “Start”
The coupling with an Adapter Plug RF
(919.021 + 919.022) and SMART PDU
RF (381.800) will be done directly when
you configure a scene.
To turn the master
device ON or OFF,
press the button .

Run to change the
name of the master
device, or to lock the
adapter and protect it
against access by third
parties.
Delete an adapter by holding
the name (e.g. Living room
Master device) down and
afterwards pressing .

Add a scene:
Press in the main area to
add a scene. Type a name
for the scene and choose
between given pictures…
…or press to select
your own picture or
take a photo.

Rename or change areas:
