Champ CF/SD Barcode Scanner
Quick Start Guide
Hardware (LED Green) – Power on
1. Connect your Pocket PC to the computer with Microsoft Active Sync program is
installed.
2. Insert the system C that come with the barcode scanner into the C -Rom drive of
your computer and start the setup program.
3. Insert the CHAMP CF or S IO Barcode Laser Scanner into the Pocket PC Compact
Flash or S IO Slot.
Note: Make sure you have soft reset your device after software installation before you insert the
card.
4. Clicking Barcode Keyboard Emulator icon on Program Menu.
A beep should sound . Then click the “OK “ icon to open Barcode Tigger
You will find list on bottom of your P As .
5. Scan ata into Your Application

5.1. Start the Windows application that you want to receive the data (e.g.,
Excel, Notepad, etc.). Make sure a document or spreadsheet is open.
5.2. Press the Champ CF/S Barcode trigger button and scan the code.
For example, try this barcode:
When data is read, a beep should sound, and the imager should turn off.
If the CF/SD Barcode Card fails to read data within a few seconds, the
imager will turn off, and you must try again.
After a successful scan, data should appear in your document. For
example, after you scan the code above into a Pocket Excel spreadsheet,
data should appear in the first cell
6. Exit Champ Barcode Keyboard Emulator
Open” “ it list on bottom of your P As .
Click “ Exit “ to close Champ Barcode Keyboard Emulator program.
7. It needs to run the Champ Barcode Keyboard Emulator program again after the
Pocket PC is powered off.

8. Assign a Trigger button on your Pocket PC
8.1 [Start][Settings][Buttons]
8.2 From the Button Li t, select a Pocket PC button to trigger WHANTO Barcode
Reader. In the Button Assignment field, select Barcode KeyBoard Emulator.
When done, tap ok.
8.3 After the Pocket PC is powered off and power on again, you can press the
Trigger Button to restart the Keyboard Emulator program, then scan the
barcode.
