Rack Mounting Hardware
Use the shelf and the adapter bracket to install the Check Point 3100 or 3200
Appliance in a rack.
The appliance can be mounted with racks that have round holes or square
holes. For square hole racks, make sure that you use cage nuts or clip nuts to
attach the rack brackets to the rack.

3 Holes that attach the appliance to the shelf
4 flat-head screws to attach the appliance to the shelf
4 Adapter bracket that secures the power adapter to the shelf
4 flat-head screws to attach the adapter bracket to the shelf
Attaching the Appliance to the shelf
Use the four flat-head screws to attach the appliance to the shelf.
To attach the rack brackets to the appliance:
1. Place the appliance on a clean, flat surface so that the four holes are facing
up.
2. Align the shelf on the appliance so that you can place a screw in each of the
four holes.
Make sure that the front of the appliance faces the two flanges.
3. Use the four flat-head screws to attach the appliance to the shelf.
4. Make sure that the appliance is securely attached to the shelf.

Attaching the Adapter Holder
Place the power adapter in the adapter slot on the shelf. Use the adapter
bracket to secure the power adapter.
To secure the power adapter to the shelf:
1. Place the appliance power adapter in the adapter slot.
2. Use two flat-head screws to attach the adapter bracket to the adapter
holder.

Installing the Appliance in the Rack
Important - Two people are required to install the appliance in a
rack to prevent personal injury or damage to the appliance.
To install the shelf in the rack:
1. For square hole racks, attach cage nuts or clip nuts to the rack.
2. Align the rack brackets in the front of the rack.
Make sure that right and left rack bracket are aligned to the same number
in the rack.
3. Use two round-head screws and washers to attach the right rack bracket to
the rack.
4. Do step 2 again for the left bracket.
5. Confirm that the appliance is stable and secure in the rack.
6. Optional: Use the adhesive plastic clips to secure the power cords to the
shelf.
