Safety
• The bicycle is intended for competition use. Any form of use other than that described
in this instruction manual may present a risk of personal injury or damage to the bicycle.
• Weight capacity: 100kg.
• Preparations beforeuse: Setthecorrect saddle and handlebar height for safe and
comfortableuse.
• Check the tyres, rims and steering for wear and correct operation.
• Tighten all nuts, bolts and screws but do not overtighten. Paycareful attention to
thefront and rear axlenuts.
• Always conduct asafety check before riding.
• Always keep both hands on thehandlebars.
• Always ride in thesame direction as trafficflow. Neverride against traffic.
• Always follow local traffic regulations.
• Always use aproperly adjusted and fitted helmet.
• Never use loose fitting clothing or similar apparel that can get caught in
thebicycle’s chain or wheels.
• Wear clothing that makes you visible to your fellow roadusers.
• Remember that rules and regulations for bicycles will differ from country to country.
Thismay include regulations regarding front, rear and side reflectors along with
front and rear lights. Find out what rules and regulations apply in the country you
are in.
• When riding in darkness make sure that you have properly functioning lights, both
front andrear.
• Show consideration when riding in traffic. Don’t ride close to pedestrians, horse
riders or thedisabled.
Warning: BMXpedals have better gripping performance than traditional pedals.
Toachieve this improved performance thesurface of the pedals is roughly grooved
and has sharpedges. Therefore, theuser should take adequate precautions by
wearing proper protective equipment to prevent possible injury from thepedals.
Warning: Aswith all mechanical components, thebicycle is subjected to wear
and high stressloads. Different materials and components may react to wear or
stress fatigue in differentways. Ifthelife of acomponent has been exceeded, it may
suddenly fail causing possible injury to therider. Anycracks, scratches or change of
colouring in highly stressed areas indicate that theuseful life of thecomponent has
been reached and should be replaced.
