1. Safety
• This product should only be repaired by qualified service technicians.
• The product should not be taken apart or modified.
• The product is designed for indoor use only.
• Never expose the device to high temperatures, blows, dampness or moisture.
• Do not place the product where there is a risk of it falling into water or other liquid.
Do not place any objects which contain liquid on the product, e.g. flower vases
or fizzy drinks.
• Do not place the device in damp, dusty environments or where there
are heavy vibrations.
• Shut off the standby function and pull out the plug at night, or if you plan
to be away for an extended period.
• Prolonged exposure to high volume from the headphones can cause
hearing damage.
• Place the device on a flat surface during use.
• The power switch is unipolar and does not cut off current from the mains.
Disconnect the device from the power supply by unplugging it from the wall
socket. The device’s plug should be easily accessible.

Certain buttons have dual functions. (13) [ZOOM/MENU], (14) [SUBTITLE/TITLE],

Press briefly to use the primary function or depress and hold for more than
1.5 seconds to use the secondary function.

4. Connections
Connecting to TVs/home theatre systems
1. Make sure that the DVD player and TV/Home Theatre Amp. are turned off before
making any connections.
2. Connect the SCART lead to the SCART OUT connection on the DVD player.
• Set the DVD player’s output ”Video Out” to RGB.
3. Connect an RCA lead to the COAXIAL connection on the DVD play and to the
COAXIAL connection on the home theatre system according to the diagram.
• Set the DVD player’s output “Digital Output” to RAW or PCM.
• Set the home theatre amplifier to the input that the lead is connected to.

5. Use
5.1 Settings
1. Press [SETUP] (15) to open the main menu: Language (language settings) –
Video (video settings) – Audio (audio settings) – Rating (parent control) –
Misc (reset to manufacturer’s original settings).
2. Use the navigation keys [▲▼◄►] to select sub-menus.
3. Confirm by pressing [OK] (31).
4. Exit the main menu by pressing [SETUP] (15).
Language
• OSD Language – Selects menu
language.
• Subtitle – Selects subtitle language.
• MPEG4 subtitle – Selects language
for MPEG4 subtitles).
• Audio – Selects language for audio.
• DVD menu – Selects language
for DVD menus).
Video
• Aspect Ratio – Sets the TV’s picture format).
• TV System – Selects the TV-system. PAL is the most common in Europe).
• Video Out – Selects the video output signal. Select RGB when connecting
with a SCART lead.
Audio
• Digital Output – Selects the audio output format; Off, PCM (2-channel stereo),
RAW (DVD’s original audio track).
• Down Sampling – On (down sampling exceeding 96K), Off.
Rating
• Parental control – Restricts access for ”adult content”. A password is required to
adjust the settings. The preset factory password is: 6666.
Miscellaneous
• Use Default Settings –Resets to manufacturer’s original settings.

5.2 Still Image Playback
1. Displays the disc’s file structure.
2. Use the navigation buttons
[▲▼◄►] (16)(17)(18)(30)
to select the desired file.
3. Confirm by pressing [OK] (31).
4. Exit the main menu by pressing
[SETUP] (15).
5.3 Playback
1. Press [USB] (24) and select DISC or USB using [▲]/[▼] (16)(18).
2. Confirm by pressing [OK] (31).
3. Select the desired folder/files using [▲]/[▼].
4. Press [OK] to start playback of the selected folder/file.
Playback settings
1. Press [USB] (24) and select DISC or USB using [▲]/[▼] (16)(18).
2. Confirm by pressing [OK] (31).
3. Open sub-menus using [►] (30).
4. Select the desired sub-menu using [▲]/[▼].
5. Press [OK] the required number of times to select the desired function.
6. Save settings and exit the main menu by using [◄] (17).
Sub-menus
A) Filter – Sets the file type to be displayed; Audio, Photo (still images) or Video.
B) Repeat – Selects different types of files for repeated playback.
C) Mode – Selects the playback order.
• NORMAL – Normal playback.
• SHUFFLE – Random playback. Press Normal to cancel.
• EDIT – Programmed playback. Press [t ] to select the desired folder
and press [OK] to confirm. Press Add To Program to start playback.
D) Program view – Displays programmed track.
E) Browser view – Displays programmed folder.
F) Add to program – Highlight the desired fila and press Add To Program to add
the file to the programmed playlist.
G) Clear program – Deletes programmed playlist. Press [■ STOP] (29) twice and
highlight the desired file/folder. Press Clear program to delete.

6. Care and maintenance
Cleaning
• Always unplug the adaptor from the wall socket before cleaning.
• Make sure that no liquids penetrate the DVD player.
• Use only a lightly moistened cloth when cleaning the exterior.
• Never use solvents or strong detergents.
Disc care
• Hold the disc by the hole and edge when handling in order to avoid fingerprints
and dirt from contaminating the surface.
• Do not bend the disc or expose it to direct sunlight or heat.
• Clean the discs with a soft dry cleaning cloth starting from the centre
and working outwards. Never use solvents or strong detergents.
• Store the discs in their cases.
7. Troubleshooting
Picture but no sound
• Make sure the audio lead is properly connected.
• Check the settings on your TV.
• Make sure that the ”MUTE” is not on (a crossed out speaker icon
will be displayed in the left hand corner if on).
Sound but no picture
• Check the settings for the AV input on your TV.
• Check the DVD player’s video settings.
Bad picture or sound quality
• Check the DVD player’s audio settings.
• Check that the disc is neither scratched nor dirty.
The message “BAD DISC” or ”NO DISC” will appear.
• The disc can be upside down or damaged.
• Make sure that the disc has file formats that are compatible with the DVD player.
The remote control doesn’t work
• Point the remote towards the DVD player’s IR sensor, making sure
there are no obstructions in between.
• Check the battery of the remote control.
