Please read theentire instruction manual before using theproduct and then save
it for future reference. Wereserve theright for any errors in text or images and any
necessary changes made to technicaldata. Ifyou have any questions concerning

Safety
• Thefan heater must be kept out of reach of children under 3 years of age unless
they are under constant supervision.
• Children between theages of 3 and 8 years should only switch theappliance on/
off provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating
position and they have been given supervision or instruction in thesafe use of
theappliance and understand thehazards involved.
• Children between theages of 3 and 8 years must not plug in, change thesettings
or perform any user maintenance to theappliance.
• Warning: Theproduct becomes very hot during use – Burn hazard. Particular
attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
• This product must not be used by anyone (including children) suffering from
physical or mental impairment. Thisproduct should not be used by anyone that
has not read theinstruction manual unless they have been instructed in its use by
someone who will take responsibility for their safety.
• Never let children play with thefan heater.
• Make sure that none of theventilation openings is blocked.
• Thefan heater must only be used on aflat surface.
• Always unplug theappliance when it is not in use and before cleaningit.
• Never leave thefan heater unattended when it is in operation.
• Thefan heater is only intended for normal domestic use and only in themanner
described in this instruction manual.
• Always place thefan heater at least 90cm away from combustible materials such
as furniture, curtains and bedlinen.
• Never use thefan heater if it is in any way damaged or malfunctioning. Donot use
thefan heater if themains lead or plug is damaged in anyway.
• Never place thefan heater close to abathtub, shower or swimmingpool.
• Never immerse thefan heater in water or allow water to come into contact with
theplug, thermostat or power switch.
• Ensure that dust or fluff does not accumulate inside theheater as this could
lead to overheating of theelement. Makesure that no foreign objects can enter
theventilation openings as this can present arisk of electric shock orfire.
• Children in thearea where theappliance is used must be kept under supervision.

• Always keep thefan heater out of reach of children and invalids, do not let them
use thefan heater without supervision.
• Thefan heater should only be connected to a230 V, 50 Hz power supply.
• Thefan heater must not be placed directly below awall socket.
• Thefan heater must not be placed on or next to astove, cooker hob or heat source.
• Do not leave thefan heater switched on unattended overnight.
• Before connecting thefan heater to themains, make sure that it is turned off and
that your hands are completelydry.
• Do not use extension leads for this product. Connect it directly to amains outlet.
• Thefan heater is intended for indoor useonly.
• Thefan heater must not be taken apart or modified. Thecasing houses non-
insulated components. Contact with these can lead to fire or electricshock.
• Themains lead must be changed if damaged. Thisis to prevent therisk of electric
shock or fire and should only be carried out by themanufacturer, qualified service
facility or qualified technician.
• Make sure to route themains lead behind thefan heater so that it is not heated by
thehot air from thefan heater.
• Never use water or awet cloth to clean thehousing of thefan heater, doing so will
pose arisk of electric shock or short-circuiting.
• Thefan heater must not be used in humid environments.
• Always let thefan heater cool down before movingit.
• Thefan heater may not be controlled by anexternal timer or any type of remote control.
Warning: Donotcover. Toavoid overheating, never cover theappliance.

Touchbuttons on fan heater and remote control
A. [HEATER (1) ], upper heating element.
Touchrepeatedly to select power setting:
max– min –off.
B. [HEATER (2) ], lower heating element.
Touchrepeatedly to select power setting:
max– min –off.
C. [+] Increase temperature setting/hours for
thetimer depending onmode: temp ortimer.
D. [ – ] Decrease temperature setting/hours for

E. [TEMP./TIMER] Press repeatedly to select
temperature setting (°C) or timer setting (H).

Assembly
1. Takethefan heater, base and remote control out of thebox and packaging material.
2. Laythefan heater on atable so that thebottom sticks out over theedge.
3. Remove thelocking ring (9) by turning it anticlockwise.
4. Fitthebase onto thebottom of thefan heater and lock it in place by turning
thelocking ring clockwise.
5. Placethefan heater on ahard, flat and level surface.

Remote control
1. Remove any insulation film from thebattery.
2. Insert thebattery (CR2032) into theremote control asshown.
3. Aimtheremote control at thedisplay panel on thefan heater.
Placement
• Place thefan heater on ahard and level surface.
• Never place thefan heater on soft surfaces such as beds, blankets and thickrugs.
• Do not place thefan heater in abathroom, laundry room, or close to thebath or shower.
• Do not use thefan heater in damp or dusty environments.
• Place thefan heater some distance from furniture, curtains or other flammable
objects. Makesure that thefan heater is at least 90cm from combustible materials.
Operating instructions
Display
Illuminates when both themain power switch (7) and power
button(1) are set to ON.
Illuminates when theheating elements are set to lowpower.
Illuminates when theheating elements are set to highpower.
Shows current room temperature.
Shows timer setting inhours.
Illuminates in oscillating (swing)mode.

Modes
1. Plugthefan heater into a230V socket and set themain power switch (7) on
theback panel to ON.
2. Pressthepower button (3) on thecontrolpanel.
3. Thefan heater starts on half power and thedisplayshows:
4. Press (A) and/or (B) once if you want to increase to fullpower. Pressthebutton
again to switch thefan heateroff. Pressonce again to switch thefan heater
backon. Thefan will continue rotating for about 10 seconds after switch-off to
cool theheating elements.
5. Press (F) to start thefan heater oscillating. Pressthebutton once again to stop
theoscillation.
Setting thedesired temperature
1. Switch thefan heateron.
2. Press (E)twice. Thethermostat setting “88°C” will flash on thedisplay.
Setthedesired room temperature (15–35 °C) using (C) and (D) while
thetemperature setting is flashing. Thesetting will be saved when thetemperature
stops flashing.
3. Theheating elements will be switched off automatically when thedesired room
temperature has been reached. Thefan heater will continue to maintain theset
thermostat temperature.
Setting theduration of operation
1. Switch thefan heateron.
2. Press (E)once. Thetimer setting “88H” will flash on thedisplay. Setthedesired
operating time (1–12 hours) using (C) and (D) while thetime setting is flashing.
Thesetting will be saved when thetime stops flashing.
3. Thefan heater will switch off automatically after theset time has elapsed.
Overheating protection
Thefan heater has two built-in thermal cut-out switches. Ifthethermal cut-out switch
is triggered, theheating element is automatically shutoff. Allowthethermal cut-out
switch to cool for 5 minutes. Startthefan heater again as normal.
Tip-over switch
Thefan heater also has atip-over switch which switches thefan heater off if it
is inclined at anangle. Thefan heater can be started again once it is standing
verticallyagain.

Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that this product should not be disposed of with
general householdwaste. Thisapplies throughout theentire EU. Inorder
to prevent any harm to theenvironment or health hazards caused by
incorrect waste disposal, theproduct must be handed in for recycling
so that thematerial can be disposed of in aresponsible manner.
Whenrecycling your product, take it to your local collection facility or
contact theplace of purchase. Theywill ensure that theproduct is
disposed of in anenvironmentally sound manner.
Care and maintenance
• Switch thefan heater off, disconnect it from thepower supply and let it cool before
cleaning.
• Clean theproduct using asoftcloth.
• Use avacuum cleaner to remove any fluff from theinlet and exhaust openings.
• If thefan heater is not to be used for along time it should be covered to keep it
clean and free of dust andfluff. Storethefan heater in its original box together with
theinstruction manual in acool, dryplace.
Cleaning thedust lters
Theair filters should be cleaned everymonth.
1. Remove thefilter grilles (11).
2. Remove thedust filters (12) and soak
them iwater for afew minutes.
3. Wringout thefilters and let them dry
before refittingthem.

Troubleshooting
Thefan heater does notstart.
• Is theplug securely connected to thewall socket?
• Make sure that theelectrical socket islive.
• Is thepower switch on theback panel set to ON?
• Has thethermostat turned off thefan heater? Checkthetemperature setting.
Thefan starts but stops after ashorttime:
• Thetemperature setting is lower than theroom temperature.
