Organization
The H3C Video Encoder/Decoder Frame Installation Guide describes the
specifications, appearance, and installation of the H3C video encoder/decoder frame
(hereinafter referred to as the frame). Read this manual carefully to avoid any possible
bodily injury or equipment damage during installation. The manual is organized as

Chapter 1 Overview
H3C video encoder/decoder frame (hereinafter referred to as the frame) is a hardware
component of the video surveillance system developed by Hangzhou H3C
Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as H3C). It is used to install video
encoders and decoders in a centralized way, and to provide power supply module and
ground terminals for the encoders and decoders.
The frame falls into two types: single-power supply frame and dual-power supply
frame.

1.2 Appearance
The single-power supply frame is similar with the dual-power supply frame in their
appearance. The following takes the dual-power supply frame for description.

Note:
The power supply status detection wire (as shown inFigure 1-2(3)) is connected with
the alarm input interface of the encoders/decoders, and used to detect the status of the
power supply module of the frame.

Chapter 2 Installing the Frame
After unpacking the frame, ensure the components are complete and intact according
to H3C Video Encoder/Decoder Frame Packing List. If any problem is found, please
contact the local agent of H3C.
Before using the frame, follow the installation procedures in Figure 2-1or Figure 2-2 to
install the frame according to the frame type.
