Connect the video source
By default, the video input port is auto-detected.
If the video source is HDMI, connect it the HDMI-in port. HV-100/HV-200 supports an HDMI
loop-thru port for second HDMI display device
Note:
1. Please refer to HV-100E&100J_SPEC.PDF or HV-200E&200J_SPEC.PDF for the HDMI
video resolutions and frame rates supported by HV-100/HV-200.
2. HDMI PCM audio-in supports up to stereo 96KHz, 24bits.
If the video source is CVBS AV-in, connect it the RCAAV-in jacks.
If both HDM and CVBS AV-in are present, HDMI port will be selected in higher priority.
Note: If the video input port is set to “Auto” mode (default), CVBS AV-in video signal should
be present, before HV-100/HV-200 is powered on. CVBS AV-in video signal is checked only
once when system power is on in “Auto” mode.
You may configure the video input port to Compsite (CVBS) with Windows or Android tool
(refer to Appendix B & C), so CVBS AV-in port will be checked repeatedly after power on and
users may apply video signal anytime.

Power and RF-out
1. Connect 12 V DC adaptor (valid DC power range from 9V~24 V)
2. Connect the RF from the F-connector to an antenna or a coaxial cable (to TV’s or STB’s)
The left-upper LED will be lighted if power is on and system starts to boot. If the bootloader failed to run,
the LED will be off even power is applied.
After power on for 20-25 seconds, the front panel will show the status.
The left-lower LED will be lighted if video input (either CVBS or HDMI ) is present and detected.
The 7-seg LED’s show current RF output TV channel number.
Basically, the channel number is consistent to the channel numbering rule of TV/STB receivers. Refer to
appendix for the channel frequency mapping.
If the channel number is 0, the channel frequency and bandwidth is set by PC/NB configuration tool via
USB port.

Switch Channel
1. The buttons in the front panel can be used to switch TV RF output channel.
2. The new channel setting will not take effect until “OK” button is pressed. Pressing “Cancel”
button will abort and return to the original channel setting.
Basically, the channel number is consistent to the channel numbering rule of TV/STB receivers. Refer to
appendix for the channel frequency mapping.
Connect to a receiver
1. Connect a coaxial cable (or an antenna) from the video output to a DVB-T receiver, either
DVB-T TV, DVB-T STB or DVB-T USB receiver dongle.
2. By default, the output RF power of HV-100/HV-200 is about -3 dBm (105 dBuV) typically, and if
the coaxial cable is shorter than 50 M, the power might be too high for some receivers. In such
a case, please add an attenuator in the receiver RF input connector to decrease the RF-in
power.
Trick: A TV splitter can also be used as an attenuator. A 2-way splitter attenuates about 4 dB
while a 4-way splitter attenuates about 8 dB.

Scan Channel
You should do channel scan before receiving and watching the transmitted program.

Appendix A: Channel Frequency and Bandwidth
When configure the channel number by the front panel buttons, the channel bandwidth is determined by the
on-board jumper (SW6) settings.
SW6 Settings
(SW6-2, SW6-1)
Bandwidth Country/Area Default
(Open, Open) 7+8 MHz
VHF:7 MHz
UHF:8 MHz
Europe
(Open, Short) 6MHz Taiwan
(Short, Short) 8 MHz
(Short, Open) 7MHz Australia
The channel frequency mappings are different for various bandwidths. Refer to the table below.
Note: When setting non-standard TV channels for 2/3/4 MHz bandwidth or 1.2G band, it should be
configured with PC/NB/Android software. By setting channel number to 0, the bandwidth and
frequency can be input manually. Refer toAppendix B & C for further details.
