SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
OPERATING ENVIRONMENT
Before using the egg cooker for the first time,read the following
instructions carefully and observe all warnings, even if you are
familiar with using electronic devices. Keep this operating manual
in a safe place for future reference. If you give the egg cooker
away or sell it, please ensure that you also pass on this operating
manual. It is part of the product.
DANGER! This symbol, together with the word
‘Danger’, indicates an impending dangerous situation
which, if not prevented, can lead to serious injuries or
even death.
WARNING! This icon, together with the word
‘Warning’, indicates important information for the
safe operation of the device and user safety.
DANGER! Danger, hot surfaces!
This symbol warns against injuries/burns related to
the hot surfaces of the egg cooker.
This symbol gives you further information on the topic.
DANGER! This egg cooker is not intended for
operation with an external timer or a separate remote
control system. Do not leave the egg cooker switched
on or unattended. There is a risk of fire!
The egg cooker is only suitable for use in dry, indoor
rooms.
This egg cooker is not designed for operation in rooms
with a high temperature, humidity (for example, the
bathroom) or excessive dust.

DANGER! This egg cooker can be used by children aged
eight and over, as well as by people with reduced physical,
sensory or mental abilities or who lack experience and
knowledge, provided they are supervised or have been
instructed in the safe use of the device and understand the
resulting dangers.
Children must not play with the egg cooker.
Cleaning and user maintenance may not be performed by
children, unless they are over eight years of age and supervised.
Keep the packaging film away from children. Risk of suffocation.
Children under the age of eight must be kept away from the
power cord.
DANGER! If you notice any smoke, unusual noises or
smells, switch off the egg cooker immediately and remove
the plug from the socket.
If this happens, you must stop using the egg cooker until it
has been checked by a specialist.
If the device catches fire, do not inhale any resulting smoke.
If you do inhale any smoke, seek medical
attention. Inhaling smoke can be harmful to your health.
DANGER! Only plug in the egg cooker to a power socket
that is always easily accessible. Only operate the egg cooker
with the voltage specified on the rating plate! The rating plate
is located on the underside of the egg cooker.
The user does not have to do anything to switch the product
between 50 and 60 Hz.
The product is suitable for both 50 and 60 Hz
supplies.
DANGER! Never touch the power cord or egg cooker
with wet hands.
There is a risk ofelectric shock.

DANGER! Risk of electric shock! Do not spill liquid on the
plug for the device.
DANGER! The egg cooker must not be covered when in use.

DANGER! Always place the egg cooker on an even,
heat-resistant surface and not in the vicinity of heat sources
and flammable materials, liquids or gases. Leave at least a
15 cm gap to walls; otherwise there is a risk of fire!
DANGER! In order to avoid hazards, the egg cooker must
not become damaged.
DANGER! Make sure there are no naked flames (for
example, burning candles) placed on or near the egg cooker.
There is a risk offire!
DANGER! Do not leave the egg cooker unattended while it
is in use.
Always switch the egg cooker off when it is not in use and
disconnect the plug from the socket.
Only put the egg cooker away once it has cooled down completely.
There is a risk of fire!
DANGER! Caution: Fire hazard! Never place the egg cooker in
the vicinity of orbeneath flammable materials such as curtains.
Keep the device at least 50 cm away from
flammable and combustible materials.
DANGER! Risk of injury! Use the egg cooker as intended.
Misuse of the device may result in injury.

DANGER!Risk of burn injuries! The temperature of the
contactable surfaces can get very hot when the egg cooker is
in operation. Furthermore, hot steam escapes from the lid (1)
during operation. Hot steam can also escape when you remove
the lid (1). Only touch the lid (1) and the egg holder (2) by the
handles.
DANGER!Risk of burn injuries! The temperature of the
contactable surfaces and heating tray can be very hot after
use. Let the egg cooker cool down fully before you touch it.
WARNING!The egg cooker must not be exposed to direct
sources of heat (for example, heaters), direct sunlight or
strong artificial light. Avoid contact with splashing and
dripping water as well as aggressive liquids. Do not operate
the egg cooker in the vicinity of water. In particular, the egg
cooker must never be immersed (do not place any objects filled
with liquids, such as vases or drinks, on the egg cooker). Also
make sure that the egg cooker is not exposed to excessive
shocks and vibrations. Furthermore, no foreign bodies should
penetrate the device. This could damage the egg cooker.

POWER CORD
DANGER! Always take hold of the power cord by the
plug and do not pull on the cord itself.
DANGER! Ensure that the power cord does not come into
contact with any of the hot surfaces of the egg cooker.
DANGER! Do not use an adapter plug or extension cable
that does not meet the relevant safety standards and do not
perform any procedures on the power cord yourself.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, by their service department or by a similarly
qualified person in order to avoid hazards.
WARNING! Never make a knot in the power cord and do
not connect it with other cables. The power cord should be
laid in such a way that no one steps on it or is obstructed
by it.

Devices marked with this symbol are subject to the European
Union Directive 2012/19/EU. Electrical and electronic devices
may not be put in the household waste, but must be disposed
of via designated public disposal centres. By properly
disposing of the old device, you can avoid environmental
damage and hazards to health. Further information regarding
proper disposal of the old device can be obtained from your
local authority or the shop where you purchased the
device.
Think about environmental protection. Used batteries do
not belong in normal domestic waste. You must dispose
of them at a collection point for old batteries. Please note
that you should only dispose of batteries in collection
containers for old batteries when they are fully
discharged. If the batteries are not completely dead, you
need to take precautionary measures before disposal to
prevent short circuits
Make sure that the packaging is disposed of in an
environmentally friendly manner. Cardboard packaging
can be put out for waste-paper collection or taken to
public collection points for recycling. The plastic
packaging used for your device will be collected by your
local waste management company and disposed of in
an environmentally friendly manner.
The product can be recycled, is subject to an extended
producer responsibility and is collected separately
Please pay attention to the labels on packaging
materials when you separate waste; these are marked
with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) that mean the
following:1–7: Plastics/20–22: Paper and cardboard/80–98:
Composite materials.

This warranty applies to products purchased and used in the U.S. and
Canada. This is the only express warranty for this product and is in
lieu of any other warranty or condition. This product is warranted to
be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of
five (5) years from the date of original purchase in Canada and one
(1) year from the date of original purchase in the U.S. During this
period, your exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of this product
or any component found to be defective, at our option; however, you
are responsible for all costs associated with returning the product to
us and our returning a product or component under this warranty
to you. If the product or component is no longer available, we will
replace with a similar one of equal or greater value. This warranty
does not cover glass, filters, wear from normal use, use not in
conformity with the printed directions, or damage to the product
resulting from accident, alteration, abuse, or misuse.
This warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser or
gift recipient. Keep the original sales receipt, as proof of purchase
is required to make a warranty claim. This warranty is void if the
product is used for other than single-family household use or
subjected to any voltage and waveform other than as specified on the
rating label (e.g., 120V ~ 60 Hz). We exclude all claims for special,
incidental, and consequential damages caused by breach of express
or implied warranty. All liability is limited to the amount of the
purchase price. Every implied warranty, including any statutory
