1. Introduction
This manual provides necessary information for safe use of this machine.
This information is intended only for specialized operators who can operate the
machine without risk to themselves, other persons, property, the machine, or the
environment. The operator should have fundamental knowledge in trouble-shoo-
ting methods, perform machine inspections and simple maintenance according to
the information provided in this manual and according to local legislation for
protection of health and safety.
This manual does not explain disassembly or comprehensive maintenance in de-
tail. These may only be performed by an authorized service technician.
It is necessary to store the manual and keep it in good condition for future use.
Contact your closest authorized supplier for a replacement manual or additional
information if necessary.
This manual should be preserved and stored for the length of the machine’s life-
time or at least ten (10) years in a well-known, easily accessible location together
with other machine documentation.
Hydroscand Machine AB is not liable for injury/damage to persons/machine or
property as a result of improper use, having made prohibited modications to the
machine or misinterpreting this manual’s safety instructions.
2. General precautions
Always make sure in advance that the minimum safety, placement and operating
standards are respected, taking note of the environmental conditions, tempera-
ture, humidity, lighting, vibrations, suspended dust and the appropriateness of
the area to be occupied. The reel is constructed to operate indoors (workshops,
industries etc.) where there is no risk of explosion or re. Before loading the rst
hose, make sure that the reel rotates and can be opened to the correct direction
and that the hose is placed steady towards the centre holders.
Do not remove the information plates on the HoseReel 7. Make sure they are
readable and that you are shore about their meaning. Should they deteriorate,
replace them immediately by contacting only an authorized Technical Service.
The use of any spare parts that deviate from this manual’s specications, any
other changes/manipulations (however insignicant) made to your machine relea-
ses Hydroscand Machine AB from any liability for consequences that arise due to
the machine’s performance, level of safety for nearby persons and/ or personal
property. It is strictly forbidden to tamper with safety equipment and/or devices.
Dispose of processing waste in compliance with current regulations.
NOTE !
Any maintenance operations, except for those specically described on the pages
of this manual, must be carride out by skilled personnel co-ordinated by authori-
zed Technical Service.

3. The equipment
Our stationary HoseReel 7 is supplied ready to use, packed on a pallet.
NOTE!
The packing material must be disposed according to current environmental pro-
tecting regulation.
The HoseReel 7 is supplied initially with:

3.1 Warranty
The HoseReel 7 is guaranteed for one (1) year following the date of purchase; the
warranty is valid only if all of the instructions listed on the warranty certicate
and in this manual are fully complied with.
NOTE!
When unpacking the HoseReel 7, make sure that the reel is in perfect condition
and that the package contains the parts described. Hydroscand Machine AB does
not respond for errors or missing parts not reported to Hydroscand Machine AB
following eight (8) days after shipment.
3.2 Important
The HoseReel 7 is designed, manufactured and protected for use of cable and hose
with dimension from 3/16” up to 1 1/4””.
Any other use is excluded by Hydroscand Macine AB, who shall be exempt from
any liability for damage to people, property or the reel itself, caused by improper
use.

4. The Reel
4.1 Identication
The information for identifying the reel is found on the plates, located at the top
to the right.
• Manufacturer
• Serial number
• Year of manufacture
• Weight
NOTE !
It is strictly forbidden to remove or damage the plate. Should this happend,
always contact an authorized Technical Service only.
For any information and/or technical explanations regarding the HoseReel, always
indicate:
• Model
• Serial number
• Edition and preparation date of the instruction manual
4.2 Description
This seven stage hose reel greatly saves time when cutting hose. The most com-
mon types are always available at the cutting machine. Every stage (except for
the bottom stage) can be swung out horizontally so that new roll can easily be
inserted. The reel should preferably be placed 1 - 2 m from the cutting machine.
The HoseReel 7 must only be used for hoses compatible with the specications
below. Follow the environmental conditions and limitations recommended by Hy-
droscand Machine AB and current health and safety regulations.
NOTE !
The descriptions includes the use for which the HoseReel 7 has been designed,
built and protected. Any other use or failure to comply with the technical para-
meters listed below, may constitute a hazard to people and/or proterty.

5. Starting - up
5.1 Preliminary steps
Important!
It is essential to determine size measurements and placement in advance in order
to ensure safe placement, running and emergency actions within the surrounding
environment. These conditions should be respected beginning with the prelimi-
nary stages, before cutting begins.
• Place the machine on a steady and at foundation.
• Check that all screws is tightened.
• Check that the reel can rotate freely.
5.2 Operator position
The placement of the in relation to the operator´s position must make it possible
to observe the result of the operation and maintain safety conditions.
6. Maintenance
Check the bearing holders for axle to the basket. The bearings must be lubricated
every hundred running hour with regular bearing grease.
