1. Introduction to the IDS1600
The IDS1600 is a versatile, state of the art, microprocessor based, sixteen zone alarm panel. Most features
areoptional and may be programmedeither directlythrough the keypad or viathe telephone system, using
theIDS download software and appropriate modem.There aresixteen programmableburglary zones, a
paniczone anda tamperzone. Thereare 8outputs whichmay beprogrammed toperform varioustrigger/
switching functions as well as siren, fire detector and strobe auxiliary power outputs.
For correct operation the IDS1600 must be usedin conjunction with the specified transformer/battery
combinationand peripheral sensorsand signalling devices.
