Network Configuration
The first thing in using the VoIP Phone is to set the network configuration to let the VoIP Phone
connect to Internet. Depending on your network environment and VoIP phone, please use the
proper method to configure the VoIP Phone to connect Internet.
Dynamic IP Method (DHCP)
Most of the network environment in an office, in a hotel room or at home is under a NAT
(Network address translation) IP sharing device/router device. In this environment, the
easiest way to connect to Internet is using the DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)
method. Using this method, the 9339HS will get the IP parameters dynamically and connect
to Internet automatically. Most cable modem connections also use this DHCP method.
Under the “DHCP” setting submenu, please key in the DNS server settings provided by the
ISP.
Step1:
“MENU” →“4 – Network” →“1 – WAN Setup” →“1 – IP client type” →“2 – DHCP” →
“ENTER” to activate
Step 2:
“MENU” →“4 – Network” →“3 – DNS”
→“1 – Primary DNS →Key in the number, which provided by the ISP
→“2 – Secondary DNS →Key in the number, which provided by the ISP
PPPoE Method
Most of the broadband network environment provided by ISPs (Internet service provider) is
on ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) connections. Under this environment, the VoIP
Phone can be directly connected to the ADSL modem by setting PPPoE (Point-to-Point
Protocol over Ethernet) account details (user name and password) provided by ADSL service
provider, please follow below.
Step 1:
“MENU” →“4 – Network” →“1 – WAN Setup” →“1 – IP client type” →“3 – PPPoE” →
“ENTER” to activate
