LUBRICATION

Use a lily-white oil. It doesn’t have to be the Juki brand.

The 1541 (unlike the 1181) does not have a bottom-feeding oil pan

with wick. The bottom pan in the 1541 is just a drip/catch all. The

machine is semi-self-oiling. You need to drop oil into a few places

around the machine regularly. Then there are a few other places (such

as the side plate and underneath hook chamber) that only need to be

oiled every 8-12 months depending on use.
