Introduction
This ultra-rugged Field PC—rock solid and eld ready in
the most extreme environments—is your reliable eld
companion. Designed for Microsoft®Windows Mobile®6, your
Field PC features a wide variety of application software and
accessory choices. Use it to navigate, research, document,
and communicate. Depend on it for your eld information
technology. It is ready for you.
Overview of Windows
Mobile®6
Your Field PC runs Microsoft®Windows Mobile®6. This
operating system, designed for mobile devices, provides
you with familiar Microsoft programs to help you increase
your productivity and manage information eectively.
For example, Microsoft®Oce Outlook®Mobile, similar to
Microsoft®Outlook®, allows you to send and receive email,
keep track of contacts, manage tasks, and take simple notes.
Many Windows®applications are already compatible with
Windows Mobile®. You can use Windows Mobile to access
Word, Excel®, and PowerPoint®les on your mobile device, or
you can use Windows Mobile®to access your email messages
and contacts from your Microsoft®Outlook account.
If you need help, the Field PC oers a variety of information
through its fully featured on-device help system. More
