Chapter 1 Introduction
1.1 Operating Principle:
In KS-Series Ultrasonic Lace Sewing Machine (Ultrasonic Sealing Machine), there
is an Ultrasonic Generator which converts the power source (115V or 230VAC,
50/60Hz) into high voltages and frequencies of Ultrasonic energy, which is then
fed into a transducer; and the transducer converts the electric Ultrasonic energy
into the mechanical vibration energy by means of piezoelectric effect.
KING Ultrasonic Lace Sewing Machine consists of 3 main factors as described
below:
A. Ultrasonic: including ultrasonic power generator, transducer and horn.
B. Driving system: Using 2 sets of motors; individually drives and controls speed
of the roller and horn.
C. Pattern Roller: Its vibrations enable the KS-Series Ultrasonic Machine to
perform many processes, such as cutting, sealing, stamping, lace effect …of
thermoplastic films, sheets, thermoplastic fibers, mixed woven or non-woven
cloth simultaneously fibers, mixed woven or non-woven cloth simultaneously
or separately . There are more than 1000 kinds of patterns to choose from.
Special patterns designed by customers are also possible.
1.2 Mechanism Principle:
The ultrasonic mechanical vibration is amplified, and transmitted to the horn
surface through a booster, and then on to the horn.
At the point which the pattern roller and the horn meet, the pressure between
the two condense the vibrations into energy. This energy then by disturbing the
molecule or the material, generates heat and the heat will melt the thermoplastic
fibers in the cloth (or thermoplastic film or sheet) which are fed in between
them. Consequently, the sharp edge on the roller (if applicable) will cut the
melted fibers and seal the cutting line.
Note: If the material is not thermoplastic or the cloth contains only a few
thermoplastic fibers, i.e. below 35%, only the cutting operation can be
obtained and there will be no sealing effect. Thus, the edges of the
cutting line will be frayed very easily.
1.3 The machine has undergone stringent testing and its quality is assured before
delivery.

3
1.4 The machine complies with the requirements of the following relevant EU
directives:
Machinery Directive 98/37/EC amend by 2006/42/EC,
Low Voltage Directive 73/23/EEC amend by 2006/95/EC, and
Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 89/336/EEC amend by 2004/108/EC,
and is also meet the following standards:
EN ISO 12100-1
EN ISO 12100-2
EN 60204-1
ISO 14121-1
ISO 14121-2

Chapter 3 Description of Warning Symbols
Symbol Description
Warning
Hazardous voltages cause severe injury or death.
Disconnect all source of power before servicing.
Caution(Lighting and Noise)
1. The machine should be operated under sufficient lighting.
2. During the operation, high-frequency sound will be generated.
The operator should be sure to wear the ear protectors.
Caution
This is safety cover.
Shut the cover before operation.
Caution(High Temperature)
The temperature of the horn may rise over 60℃ after operating
continuously, please do not touch the surface of horn during
operation.
Warning(High Voltage)
The capacitors in the electrical control unit or the generator are
electrically charged; if the machine shuts down, seek professional
maintenance.
Warning(Rolling, Keep hands away)
During operation, do not place your hand inside the area where
the ultrasonic horn is rolling to avoid being injured or burned.
1. Do not put finger between working roller/ roller bracket and
horn surface while pattern roller is in upper position.
2. Do not put finger between working roller bracket and sewing
machine housing while pattern roller is in lower position.
3. Do not put finger between cylinder adjustment nut and fixed nut.
4. Possible for operator’s fingers to get dragged in between working
roller and horn surface while horn is rotated.

Chapter 4 Safety Precautions
4.1 Please operate the machine according to the Operation Manual. Improper
operation, installation or adjustment may cause malfunction or affect the normal
function of the machine. If you experience any problems in the operation, please
contact the sales department of the company or a local representative.
4.2 Please follow the instructions on the warning signs to avoid damage.
4.3 Please do not operate the machine near flammable gases, such as fuel gases,
oxygen, etc.
4.4 During operation, please do not wear necklaces, ties or loose clothing. If
Operator with long hair should be tie up to avoid being rolled into the machine.
4.5 For safety, the machine should be operated by one operator only.
4.6 During operation, please do not place the hand or any part of the body near the
moving parts, to avoid collisions, injuries, or being rolled into the machine.
4.7 Unauthorized personnel are not allowed to replace moving parts or other
components. Component replacement should be performed by professional
personnel.
4.8 Install the machine on a flat and rigid surface.
4.9 The machine should be properly grounded.
4.10 Please do not modify the machine parts and circuitry by yourself.
4.11 Please do not use replacement parts from anywhere else but our company.
4.12 Please check each week that every screw is firmly fixed.
4.13 The pneumatic tube should be inspected every 3 months. If there is any
Crisping or abnormal condition, it is necessary to replace it to avoid damage.
(It is recommended that every part be replaced each year.)
4.14 During operation, please do not open the cover of the generator or the vibration
horn to avoid injury by high voltage electric shock.
