Safety
ORead these instructions carefully and retain for future
reference.
OBefore using for the first time, remove all packaging
and any labels including the plastic blade covers. Wash
the parts: see ‘Cleaning’.
OIf the plug or cord is damaged it must, for safety
reasons, be replaced by Kenwood or an authorised
Kenwood repairer in order to avoid a hazard.
OThe blades are sharp, handle with care. Always hold
the knife blade at the top, away from the cutting
edge, when handling the sharp cutting blades,
emptying the bowl and during cleaning.
ODO NOT process hot ingredients.
OBe careful if hot liquid is poured into the mini
chopper bowl as it can be ejected out of the
appliance due to sudden steaming.
OAlways switch o the appliance and disconnect
from the power supply, if it is left unattended, before
assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
OWhen processing heavy loads such as meat do not
operate continuously for longer than 15 seconds.
Leave to cool for 2 minutes in between each
15 second operation.
ODo not exceed the maximum capacities stated in the
processing guide (refer to illustration R– S).
OAlways wait for the blades to completely stop before
removing the power unit from the bowl.
OAlways remove the knife blade(s) before emptying or
pouring contents from the bowl.
ONever use a damaged appliance. Get it checked or
repaired: see ‘Service and customer care’.
ONever let the power unit, cord or plug get wet.
ODo not let excess cord hang over the edge of a table
or worktop or touch hot surfaces.
ODo not operate the food chopper if the bowl is empty.
ONever operate the food chopper with the bowl filled
with liquid.
ODo not use the bowl as a storage container.
ONever leave the appliance on unattended.
OMisuse of your food chopper can result in injury.
ONever use an unauthorised attachment.
OEnsure the cord is fully unfolded from the cord storage
compartment before using the appliance.
OChildren should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.

OAppliances can be used by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and if they understand the
hazards involved.
OThis appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the
appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
OOnly use the appliance for its intended domestic use.
Kenwood will not accept any liability if the appliance
is subject to improper use, or failure to comply with
these instructions.
OThe maximum rating is based on the chopper bowl
attachment that draws the greatest load. Other
attachments may draw less power.
Grinding Mill
ODried Tumeric should not be ground alone, it should
be processed with a minimum of 25g of ground/whole
spices or other additional ingredients.
ONever fit the blade assembly to the power unit without
the lid fitted.
ONever unscrew the lid while the mill is fitted to the
power unit.
ODo not touch the sharp blades – Keep the blade
assembly away from children.
ONever remove the mill until the blades have
completely stopped.
OThe appliance will not work if the mill is incorrectly
fitted.
ODo not process hot ingredients in the mill allow to
cool down to room temperature before processing.
Cleaning

OAlways switch o and unplug before cleaning.
ODo not immerse the power unit in water. Wipe with a
damp cloth, then dry.
OHandle the blade with care - it is extremely sharp.
OWash the parts by hand, then dry. Alternatively they
can be washed in your dishwasher.
OThe parts are unsuitable for use in a Steam Steriliser.
Instead use a sterilising solution in accordance with
the sterilising solutions manufacturer’s instructions.
