The Kodak Versamark DS9100 and DS9050 Printing Systems, each of which

is comprised of a reliable printhead and controller, give you a powerful solution

that can help your company proﬁt from a competitive edge in the Hybrid Digital

Printing market.

Printheads

Printheads are replaceable components that connect to PICs through

a simple slide-on mechanism. With the DS9100 and DS9050 Systems,

you can stitch up to two printheads together for a total print width of

17.92 inches (455 cm).

Printhead Interface Controller (PIC) Function

Each print station supports one or two Printhead Interface Controllers

(PICs). A PIC box contains the electronics, software and fluidics for

driving a single inkjet printhead. PIC physical specifications

Print station function

A print station houses the electronics and software that manage the

pumps, valves and filters that control the flow of ink, replenisher and

It also controls various physical properties of fluids—including

temperature, pressure and ink concentration.
