· Recharge batteries every six months to maintain optimal battery life.

· Do not use detergent containing ammonia, benzene or abrasives to clean solar
panel.
· Modifying or refitting this light in a manner not authorized by LEADSUN may
cause the unit to stop working and may void the warranty.
Please have a licensed electrician install this unit to avoid risk of shock damage to
luminaries. Pay close attention to the cable polarity (L: RED; N: BLUE; PE:
YELLOW/GREEN). Tie up with waterproof rubberized fabric after completing
wiring.
A licensed electrician is required to install the unit with AC power supply.

Disposal
This product is made of recyclable high-performance materials and components
in accordance with ROHS. Do not dispose with normal household waste. To
preserve our environment, please bring used unit to an official collection point for
recycling.
Please refer to your local laws and regulations regarding the collection of
electrical products. Proper disposal can help prevent negative impacts to
our environment.
Operating Temperature
· The discharge temperature ranges from -4℉ to 140℉(-20℃~60℃). ·
· Recharge at a temperature between 32℉ to 140℉ (0℃~60℃).
· The controller will automatically stop charging in order to protect the battery if the
temperature drops below 32℉ (0℃) or rises above 140℉ (60℃).
· Do not install this unit in an area where the temperature exceeds these limits.
· For lighting solutions for cold environments, please contact your local LEADSUN
distributor/dealer.

1.1 Features
1. Introduction
4. At factory setting, AE2 units turn on at dusk and off at dawn automatically (light photosensitivity is
around 30lx). In the evening, AE2 units operate at dim mode when no one is not around, and
increase light output immediately when motion is detected.
To avoid incorrect operation that may damage the unit, please read the following instructions
carefully before installing your AE2 solar lights.
1. AE2 units will not work without sunlight. Please choose the appropriate model according to
radiance or peak sun hours for the desired installation location. For areas with low sunlight or
prone to consecutive overcast days, AE2 units may not operate at their optimal levels or may not
turn on at all.
2. AE2 units should be installed with the solar panel facing the Equator for optimal performance and
durability.
5. All internal parts of AE2 are waterproof and rated IP65. Holes and slits on the luminaires are
designed for heat dissipation and drainage. Metal parts are made of anodized rustproof aluminum,
which withstands high temperatures and humid weather. However, it is recommended that you
avoid areas with heavy acid mist or salt influx. The strong structural design can withstand the wind
speed up to 180km/hr.

properly, causing low efficiency and short working time.

2. Activation
Definition of the native mode
OFF mode: The system will not work, charge or
discharge.
Transport (idle) mode: the system will power off in
an hour and goes to the OFF mode.
ON mode: the system will work normally, charging
in the daytime and discharging at night.

In the OFF mode, when connected to the solar panel, if the lighting condition is normal, it will start up
automatically; or long press the button 5s, if the light is ON and then OFF, the product will go into the ON
mode.
In the ON mode, long press the button 5s, the light flash 3 times then off, the product will go into the
transport (idle) mode; if disconnected from the solar panel, the product will go into the OFF mode
directly;
In the transport (Idle) mode, long press the button 5s, if the light flash one time and then off, the product
will go into the OFF mode; or without any operation after an hour, the product will go into OFF mode
automatically.

Daytime start-up: when the lighting condition is
sufficient (>30lx), the product connects to the
solar panel if it lights 20 seconds then off, it
means the product has started up and goes
to the ON mode. If the lighting condition is
not good, it needs Night start-up method.
Night start-up: long press the button (5s), the light
is on and release the button, the light is off, it will go
to the OFF mode.
After the light went off, if it meets the normal lighting
condition (<30lx) the light will on, if it does not, then
the product will go into the OFF mode.

Determine the pole’s position according to the max radiation and road condition. Confirm
installation height and distance by referring to AE2 specifications. LEADSUN recommends using a
steel pole with a diameter of 60-90mm and a thickness of more than 2mm.
Joint the bracket to the solar engine with 2pcs of M8×55 bolts by attached tools. (This step is only
needed for the models of AST45XX).
Joint the rear cover and bracket with 4pcs of M8×90 bolts, leaving space to easily mount the unit
onto the pole (Figure 2).
Mount the unit on the pole by fastening the M8 bolts. The torque wrench is 14N.m (Figure 3).

3. Installation
1. Please confirm if the 2G/4G module in the gateway is support the data network covered by the
local carrier before installation.
2. When using the inbuilt 2G/4G module gateway, you need to insert a SIM card which has the
data service. The data service will cause the service fee, and you need to pay the relevant
service fee to the local carrier.

Connect the antenna to the corresponding position according to the picture below, (Please pay
attention to the difference of 2G/4G antenna and LORA antenna.)

Insert SIM Card
Insert the 2G/4G SIM card into the slot according to the picture. Press the button next to it to
restart the gateway and cover the waterproof plug.

The SIM card cutting edge is face down and the magnetic
stripe is away to the indicator light.
Cautions:
Application scenarios
Road installation
Linear installation is adopted on the road. It is possible to consider installing multiply
street light with gateway, if it is far away; Packet access can make the installation
distance extend infinitely.
Decentralized installation in Village/Factory/Park
In the situation of decentralized installation, the solar street light with gateway is
recommended to install in the center of all the street lights.

Check if the air temperature close to

When the air temperature is close to human
temperature, motion detection may slow
down. It will return to normal after the air
temperature changes.
Check if the installation height is too
high.
It is out of motion detection range when
installation height exceeds 8m. It is
recommended to reduce the height or use
other operating modes.
Replace damaged motion sensor or
controllers.
5. Maintenance and Products Care
Transportation and Storage
· This product contains lithium batteries. Please follow air transport regulations when shipping. It
should be regarded as potentially flammable and explosive, and be isolated from other goods
when stored, so as to avoid any damage.
· The solar panels of this product should be considered as fragile. There should never be more
than 4 layers of boxes when stacked. To avoid damage to the panels, make sure no heavy
pressure is applied to the boxes.
· Please store the product in temperature between 0℃ to 45℃.
· If stored for a long period, the product should be recharged every 6 months. Please only use the
special charger (purchased from manufacturer) to avoid damage to the battery or device.
· When repackaging the product after inspection or charging, set the light into sleep mode by
holding the On/Off button for 5 sec. The light will flash three times to signal that it has properly
entered sleep mode. You may now repackage the product into its box. To exit sleep mode, either
press the On/Off button one more time, or wait an hour for the light to reboot automatically
through contact with sunlight.
Clean
To clean, apply mild detergent with a damp cloth and gently wipe the surface of the solar panel.
