Please note all (Ref.) refer to the Controls and Functions mapping

guide on Pages 1-2.

For mains power, insert the power supply connector into the

power input socket labelled DC 5V (Ref.) on the back of the

system and plug the power supply into the mains. Alternatively,

you can power the radio with 4 x 1.5C batteries in the battery

compartment (Ref.).

Ensure the Antenna (Ref.) is extended as far as possible so that

you can rotate it, enabling you to get the best signal that you

can.

Press the ‘Power/Mode’ button (Ref.) to turn on the unit.

The system will show “Welcome to Digital Radio” on rst use and

should automatically go to DAB/DAB+ radio. To begin scanning

for available stations, select the ‘Scan’ button (Ref.).

Standby or O

To place the system in standby mode or to switch it o, press

and hold the ‘Power/Mode’ button (Ref.). The display will

show “Standby or Power O”. Turn the ‘Tune/Select/Enter’ dial

(Ref.) to select your choice. Press the ‘Tune/Select/Enter’ dial

(Ref.) to conrm your choice. To turn o completely, switch o

at the mains. The cord must be out of reach of children.

Basic Operation

Press the ‘Power/Mode’ button (Ref.) to switch to DAB/DAB+

Radio.

Fully extend the antenna (Ref.).

To start an auto scan for available digital stations, press the ‘Scan’

button (Ref.) and then release. This would be advisable if you

are having trouble listening to particular stations.

Once you have chosen to scan, the radio will display “Full Scan”

as it starts scanning up the frequency band. Once the scan is

complete, the rst radio station with good signal will begin to

play.

To browse through the stations that have been found and

stored, turn the ‘Tune/Select/Enter’ dial (Ref.) to scroll through

stations. Once you have found your desired station, press the

‘Tune/Select/Enter’ dial (Ref.) to conrm your choice.

The radio will display station information when you press

the ‘Info’ button (Ref.). Press it multiple times for dierent

information. See page 10 for further details.

When you power up the radio again after switching o, it will

automatically tune to the same station (DAB or FM) that was last

selected.

How to store a preset radio station

To be able to quickly access your favourite DAB/DAB+ stations,

you can preset the stations. Up to 10 dierent preset stations can

be set for you to browse between.

To store a station as your preset, it is best to be listening to the

station at the time.

To set the station as a preset, you will need to decide what

number you would like it set as. To set preset numbers 1 to 5,

press and hold one of the ‘Preset’ buttons (Ref., 2, 4, 5 or 9) on

the front of your radio for 3 seconds.

The display will show “Preset In (x) stored”. To conrm the preset

number, press the ‘Tune/Snooze/Enter’ dial (Ref.) to conrm.

“Preset (x) Stored” will show on the display.

To store presets 6 to 10, press the ‘Shift’ button (Ref.), followed

by pressing and holding one of the ‘Preset’ buttons (Ref. 1, 2, 4,

5, or 9) on the front of your radio for 3 seconds.

The display will show “Preset In (x) stored”. To conrm the preset

number, press the ‘Tune/Snooze/Enter’ dial (Ref.) to conrm.

“Preset (x) Stored” will show on the display.

NOTE: If there is already an existing DAB station stored under a

preset it will be over-written when you store the new station.

How to play a preset radio station

To play your preset stations from 1-5, press the according preset

button of your choice (Ref., 2, 4, 5 or 9). “Preset Out (x)” will

then be displayed.

To conrm you wish to play that station, press the ‘Tune/Snooze/

Enter’ dial (Ref.) for that station to begin playing.

To play your preset stations from 6-10, press the‘Shift’ button

rst, then press the according preset button of your choice

(Ref., 2, 4, 5 or 9). “Preset Out (x)” then will be displayed.

To conrm you wish to play that station, press the ‘Tune/Snooze/

Enter’ dial (Ref.) for that station to begin playing.

Press the ‘Power/Mode’ button (Ref.) to switch to FM mode.

The rst time you do this, the FM frequency “87.5 MHz” will be

displayed on the screen.

Fully extend the antenna (Ref.).

To scan for available stations with good signal, press the

‘Scan’ button (Ref.). The unit will then start scanning up the

frequency band and play the rst station it nds with a good

signal.

To scan down the frequency band, press and hold the ‘Scan’

button (Ref.) for a few seconds to nd a station with good

signal.

How to tune a specic frequency manually

To listen to a specic frequency, turn the ‘Tune/Snooze/Enter’

dial (Ref.) to move slowly up and down the frequency band

until you are tuned in to the required frequency.

Mono and Stereo

To change between Mono and Stereo, press the ‘Tune/Snooze/

Enter’ dial (Ref.).
